These are roughly all of the up and coming guys on the roster that could potentially carry the company one day but aren't quite there yet. Some like Randy Orton have had their chance to be the company's top guy, while others are on their way(Lashley, Carlito, Kennedy, etc.). So in your opinion, which of these wrestlers will have the brightest future and be able to go the furthest in the WWE?

Punk easy. Hes on the C show, and already is one of, if not the most over guys there. When they take the breaks off and let him go all out, in and out of the ring, its over!

Kennedy. I'd like to say Punk, but WWE could care less about how good of an in ring worker you are. Granted he covers the other aspects well too, but Kennedy has that size WWE seems to have a hard on for. What would put him over a Bobby Lashley or a Randy Orton is that he's charismatic and can talk. Something which Orton and Lashley need help with and fast.

I say Lashley cause they're eventually gonna make him what they tried to make Brock Lesnar.

I am, and always have been, a shameless Ken Kennedy mark.
Punk is way, way over with the fans, but most of the manlove people have for him is because of his earlier work, and that doesn't always translate well into WWE.
Lashley has the muscles to look like a main eventer, and he usually pleases the crowd, but he's kind of floundering around like Carlito is, with no real storyline to speak of.

Kennedy and Carlito should be. Probably neither one of them will be though.

Yeah, but I know a few Smackdown fans who have heard of Punk by word of mouth alone, but mention ROH and they have no idea what you're talking about. Shmackdown fans are funny like that, sometimes.

He reminds me of a young Rob Van Dam... without the smoke. Straight Edge all the way, dude!

I'll say Carlito because we have seen him play both heel and face. That will keep you fresh and help to set up new feuds. The only other person on that list I know can do that is Punk but, the E has yet to show whether or not they like him.
Kennedy, Nitro, Kenny, Johnny, Lashley and Shelton will be up there but, they have yet to show me (through no real fault of their own) that they can do this yet.

Because I'm bored as hell, I'm just going to give opinions on all the options. Please note however, it's late, so I don't really know what I'm talking about:
Carlito : Carlito could easily be a future World Champion, but he may easily grab the Tag Titles first. He has the charisma and ability, and I could easily see him and Shelton contuing their rivalry to the world title. Carlito, is probably more pick as the future.
Bobby Lashley : It seems certain that a World Title will be his in the future. He's not perfect, but he does have a similar sense of dominance as Batista. Like Shelton, he could do with a manager to do the talking for him, and maybe a monster heel would be the best character, but if he stays injury free, he could go far.
Shelton Benjamin : Ok, his mic-work needs alot of improvement, but his ability is near unmatchable. He SHOULD be able to at least stay in midcard for a while, and hopefully when some of the older main eventers step down, he will get his shot. Realistically, how he's been booked lately, it's not looking good. But if someone could just go give Creative a slap on the head and a pointer in the right direction, Shelton could do very well. But he could do with a manager to do the talking (MVP maybe, managing the MVP of Raw?) Ken Kennedy : He has a bright future ahead of him. He will no doubt win IC and probably US again. He may even be a World Champ in a few years, but thats still a long way off. At the moment, he certainly seems like an upper midcard for quite a long time to come.
Johnny Nitro : I always prefered Mercury. At the moment, it seems like he's staying at midcard, and it will stay like that until he can win some matchs himself and not rely on the 'Melina finisher'.
Randy Orton : (Sigh) I have a feeling Orton's going to be out future... if we like it or not. Orton may easily win the world title again, so get the complaints ready.
Shad Gaspard : I think if Cryme Tyme were to split, Shad would get the biggest push out of the two. However, it's too early to call his future just yet. JTG : It's early days at the moment. He could do well, but give him time before judging how well he will do in the future.
CM Punk : Rejoice fans and complain haters, Punk's going far. He has charisma and talent (Though I don't think he's been able to show his full potential yet) and I do think he'll get a good future. In ECW anyway. The other brands may be questionable, mainly due to the 'Steph dosn't like him' rumour, but I do see him going far. Gregory Helms : The man who is my joint top favourite on the roster, obviously I want him to do well. He's not going to get the world, but with the right push he could get US. The longest reigning current champion in WWE has got the experience, charisma and the ability to go far. If he is given the chance to shine on the other hand is a totally different question. Could go far, but it is doubtful.
Kenny : Ken's going to go far. I could actually see him getting the World Title belt in a few years, if things go well for him. HOWEVER, he is still quite young, and certainly shouldn't be thrown to the top right away. A IC run seems gaurented, but they need to make sure that he dosn't act like a prick backstage and such.
Johnny : With the right push/gimmick, I think Johnny can go far. He's my favourite of the Squad and has stood out to me more then Kenny. I see him getting a US or IC run. I can only hope for him to get a World Title belt though.
Mikey : The guy seems perfect for a crazy heel gimmick. He'll do average I think. He'll probably get the tag belts, and if he's in the weight class, cruiserweight. Could go far, but then again it's also doubtful. Might be best to move him to Smackdown.
Nicky : Nick needs to stop getting comedy gimmicks and get a serious, mean, 'I'm gonna kill ya' gimmick IMO. It's doubtful he's gonna get far, especially compared to the other Squaders (Though he will do better then Mitch me thinks). Like the rest of the squad, he has to be repackaged first.
Mitch : Mitch, the Spirit Squad member voted most likely to be wished well in his future endeavors. I actually like him a little, but compared to his Squad team mates, he probably won't go too far. I can't even think of a good gimmick for him for when the Squad splits (5 new gimmicks for the Creative to work out. Won't this be fun)
Sylvester Terkay : Can't say I've been impressed so far, and that Burke's ability has certainly overshadowe Terkay's. I also doubt he'll get far with his current name. Tag belts will be his soon, but from there, probably too early to say.
Elijah Burke : Certainly the most talented out of his team, and the tag belts may easily be theirs in the future. When/If the team splits, Burke could easily get a US or IC run, but I think he may easily end up like Shelton is now or that Terkay may get the push.
MVP : MVP still has a long way to go, and it's probably too early to judge. US title in his future. The Miz : HOO RA! Me thinks that the Miz will be a backstage interviewer in the future. Maybe taking Mathews job (Say, if Josh gets moved up to main announce team). Will probably win the US.
Paul London : Easily one of the most talented members of the roster, though I think Brian has him beat in the charisma department. Could be big if Creative give him the right chance to shine. A US title may be in his future, but World is doubtful.
Brian Kendrick : I want him to do well. I really do. He's in my top 5 current roster members. I think he has what it takes, but it's doubtful that creative will give him the chance. Rene Dupree : A couple of years ago, I would have probally said yes. However, the frenchman is hardly seen anymore and it's going to require a lot more work to get people caring about him again.
Kevin Thorn : He has a very intersting gimmick, but I feel that he will soon start to fade away =(. Will be around for a while, but THE future of the WWE? I don't think he's going to be World Champ any time soon, let's just say that.
Chris Masters : They don't even show his enterance anymore, the thing I liked most about him. It's doubtful he's going to get much further up the roster these days.
Snitsky : Snitskymania may still remain on these boards, but in WWE these days, he's become nothing more then a very large jobber.
And when he makes his debut, keep an eye on Harry Smith.

I don't believe in one future for there could be many others, working together to carry the whole company in years to come. Kennedy can talk, Punk can work, Lashley has the kiddie appeal, Carlito can talk AND work and as for Orton.. Ehrm.. He's got.. ladies.

Probably Kennedy, although I can wish for Kendrick as the future figurehead of the company, can't I?

Here's my list of nominations
Ken Kennedy, Trevor Murdoch(if they can ever get over his appearance thing, and repackage him badass Hansen style), Daivari, Kevin Thorn(I see him as 'the next Undertaker' so to say.), Joey Mercury(if he gets a new gimmick), Deuce Shade(Snuka's adopted son), Punk(though I'm iffy if he'll last), and HOW IS MATT STRIKER NOT ON THIS LIST?!

In a hypotetical fantasy world, Punk would be the future of WWE no doubt about it.
But it´s the WWE. The samy company that looks for the casual fans over it´s own fanbase 90% of the time anyway.
