So, I dunno if anyone else noticed, but it seems like last night ECW debuted a new entryway.
Not gonna call it a Titantron, because it's rather small.
I dunno, it's not bad, but it'll take some getting used to. But it doesn't symbolize ECW's look.
Yep, WWE's beginning the total takeover. 9_9
So what do you think.

I don't love it or hate it really. I mean it's fine, even though it's obviously taking away part of what made ECW more unique than Raw or Smackdown.

It would look fine if the light tubes surrounded the brick wall set, but without it, it looks plain.

The brick wall was played out. Were we supposed to believe they were to poor to afford anything better?

I actually hadn't noticed it was different.

It's all fancy and showy and new when I first saw it.
IT NEEDS TO DIE!
ECW is made to look like a dark, grungy fed/brand/show/whatever, and it takes away from it.

It wasn't bad but, wasn't great. It seemed cheaper than the "brick" wall but, it was something different.
I give it a solid meh.

eh, nice change of pace, i'm just glad that they don't have a big ramp, its cool that they still stay close to the fans, like old superstars or wrestling challenge. personally i think the best set was WCW worldwide

I too liked the brick wall better but it does show that this isn't your daddy's ECDub.

I like it, but I have to wonder...RAW and SD have had their current sets for near ten years now. ECW has existed for four months or so. Why did ECW get a new set instead of one of the other shows? I would have kept the brick wall on ECW and given the light-tuby set to smackdown. Not only would it give SD a much-needed new look, it would also mean that less seats would have to be blocked off for the entryway, since the tuby deal is far smaller than the fist wall.
Oh well, it looks nice either way. Maybe "nice" isn't what ECW used to be about, but this ain't the old ECW. This is Vinnie Mac's ECW, and dammit, Vincent Kennedy McMahon gets whatever he wants.

Eh? Smackdown has changed pretty greatly over the years, not sure what you're talking about. Also, contrary to popular belief, the RAW set has changed quite a bit too, although the current set has been used ever since the fall of WCW (I think).

OK, yeah I forgot the stupid oval set on SD but that was like an infinity ago. I mean, c'mon, the fist wall has been around forever. As far as the raw set...They made the screen into a trapezoid and added some trippy smaller screens on the side, sure, but it's still the same damn layout, and essentially the same thing it's been since they added the actual stage way back when. I think both RAW and SD need a total overhaul; not just the look, but the layout of the arena. No more of this "Giant f***ing stage that blocks off a fifth of the building" crap!

The raw screen is parallelogram shaped, not trapezoidal. Though you're right, they don't really need the huging huge entryway.
