I remember a short cartoon called "Room Noodles" that absolutely terrified me as a kid. It wasn't so much the monsters and stuff as it was the actual Room Noodles and the music they played over it.
What's ironic, is the short is about helping kids get over a fear of the dark by having goofy protectors known as the Room Noodles.... and THEY are what freaked me the hell out!

Raggedy Ann and Andy are creepy enough for me as it is, then this is just one of many hard drug-influenced scenes from their movie.

There was a show that used to be on Sunday mornings on BBC2 in the mid 90s, it was some sort of variety show with cartoons and puppets and live action segments dotted all over it. I can't remember the name of it, but I enjoyed it for a while.
Then one episode, these two puppets, regular characters, one of them looked like Beaker from the Muppets with big ears, and the other one was this big fat lad, they both wore school uniforms, the fat one had a cap on that covered his eyes. Anyway, this one time the fat one claimed that he could turn himself inside out by sticking his fingers up his nose and pulling. The Beaker one said to the camera "you don't really want to see this" and held a hankerchief over the camera. So although it was a black screen, you heard a huge slurping sound effect, the fat one laughing, and the Beaker one groaning in disgust, things like "oh, you're dripping!", until he turned himself the right way out again and the hankerchief got pulled away.
What kind of sick f*** thought that would be appropriate for a Sunday morning kids show?

You can throw as much freaky/scary shit into a film as possible as long as the ending is positive. Case in point, Land Before Time. Sharptooth gave me nightmares as a kid.

Man this Peppermint Park stuff is all over YouTube, does anybody actually have tapes of this show? Do tapes of it exist anymore?
WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK!
What's even more weird than the show itself is that you can't find ANYTHING on the internet about this show. If you put Peppermint Park into google you get the youtube video links, but then nothing else about the show, rather odd.
