It's kinda funny. That round I got the highest scoring song and a song that just didn't score at all.
I'M RUNNIN THE GAUNTLET HERE!

I like this round, and to prevent giving away any strategy, I'll save my reason as to why I like this round for the comments after all songs are turned in.
Also, major kudos for how fast everyone got their picks in last time. That was great. And it seems we've heard from everyone post-round 8, so let's hope we keep it moving like last time. The round could be really good.

Ok. I sent in my choices. One of the songs, that I was gonna use for the long songs round, I was going to use here, but held off on it once again. I'm still waiting to use that epic tune in the near future. Instead I'm taking some risky choices for this round, to see how they pay off with the judges. 1 made a cameo earlier. I am so hoping I don't get eliminated after this without using my other planned song choice. (I'd like to go to the top 2, even if I lose there, cause I wanna play every round.)

I really love my two picks personally, but I think they may be risky when it comes to judging them.
Still, looking forward to the songs this round.

So, who wants my thoughts on Round 9?? No one... well too bad!!!
1) My Girl: Even though Pegasus sees it as overplayed, I see it as the standard by which all other love songs should be held, a true classic by a classic group. Home run
2) Kiss From A Rose: I love Seal, and very few songs are better than this one.
3) Undisclosed Desires: The opening riff for this song with the plucked strings and steady drum beat get me every time. Love the band, love the song.
4) When I Say I Do: Shocked to have seen this score low. I love country duets and this one was pretty good by my standards.
5) In Your Eyes: Expected this song to get picked in all honesty, but it's still good.
6) I'll Stand By You: See my thoughts on In Your Eyes and copy em on down.
7) Danny's Song: Again, a good song that I love, but this was a stacked round.
8) Accidentally In Love: Such a strong round some songs that would have been near the top fell into the middle. This is another one of those songs.
9) How Can I Tell You: Not big on Cat Stevens, but this song was ok. Again, another case of alot of good stuff at the top.
10) If You're Not The One: This song isn't a personal favorite, so it was going to be near the bottom no matter what else came in.
11) My Happiness: I really wanted to love this song, the background was so what I like, but the vocals just weren't happening for me.
12) Love Lockdown: Where to begin... had you picked the version by Kanye, I guarantee this was not going to be at the bottom and instead near the middle of the pack. Fall Out Boy has a tradition of covering songs for the worse, like their awful version of Beat It and this is no exception.

Wow. Looks like we all, took some risks this round. I definitely appreciated it. There were some excellent selections this round. I did worry that the combination of previously used artists and the copyright police (the performance I would have picked was no where to be found on Youtube) would lead to some iffy choices, but overall you guys did an excellent job.

Wow. Looks like we all, took some risks this round. well, i had some good songs in mind, but they wouldn't have been eligible. and the choices of brad paisley, billy ray cyrus, and oasis certainly narrow down my list of who's left.

LIVE, from wherever your computer is located, THIS... is Wrestlecrap Idol! Hi, I'm THE Baldy Kendrick and welcome to the Wrestlecrap Idol Results Show. From here on out, it's do or die. If you have a bad round, there's no scores to fall back on. You need to bring it every round, and all of you did. The judges absolutely loved your picks. Alas, one of you will still be eliminated tonight. Let's get right to it. We're going to do things differently today. We're going to start with the song that scored the highest, and that would be... Rodrigo y Gabriela's "Buster Voodoo" from Jools' Annual Hootenanny. It pulled in two first place votes and one second place vote for a total of 29. The person who submitted that selection was... {Spoiler}Strykerdarksilence. You're on the board with 29 points. Second place went to the song that pulled in the other first-place vote... "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree." KT Tunstall's performance from Later... with Jools Holland was good for 25 points. The person who submitted that pick was... {Spoiler}Sudden Rush. You've got 25 points right now with one song to go. Third went to... Thom Yorke's "Cymbal Rush" from the Henry Rollins Show. The Radiohead front man's score was 23 points, and those points are going to... {Spoiler}Freak Double H. You're in third place right now, but with a song still to come. Fourth place was the best that The Verve Pipe could muster up with their performance of "The Freshman" from The Henry Rollins Show. They scored 16 points for the contestant that selected them, and that would be... {Spoiler}Sudden Rush. You're in the clubhouse with 41 points, and since there's still two players without a score, you are safe from elimination. We had a tie for fifth place. Killing Heidi's "Weir" from The 10:30 Slot and The Black Keys' "Stack Shot Billy" from Late Night with David Letterman each scored 15 points for their selectors, and they are... {Spoiler}UT is Sparklethulhu for "Weir" and Freak Double H for "Stack Shot Billy." UT, you're finally on the board with 15 points. Double H, you're in the clubhouse with 38, and you are officially safe. We had another tie, this one for seventh. Two performances mustered up 13 points each, and they were Oasis' performance of "Live Forever" from MTV's Most Wanted and Brad Paisley's performance of "American Saturday Night" from Jimmy Kimmel Live. The person who selected "Live Forever" is... {Spoiler}Strykerdarksilence. Stryker, that gives you 42 points, and officially means you're safe. The player who selected "American Saturday Night" is... {Spoiler}Gus Richlen. You are FINALLY on the board with 14 points. There are two songs remaining, and two players who have not received two scores. Gus Richlen, UT, please step forward... Gus, you have 14 points right now. UT, you're ahead, but barely. You have 15 points. Gus, your final selection was Billy Ray Cyrus' Good Morning America performance of "Back In Tennessee." UT, your final selection was The Living End's performance of "Prisoner of Society" from Recovery. One of these songs scored 11 points. The other... just five. Obviously, the player who picked the five point song will be eliminated. Did The Living End mark the end of UT's game, or does Gus leave us with an Achy Breaky Heart? The song which scored 11 points... is... {Spoiler}"Prisoner of Society." That gives UT 26 in total, and that gives him safety. Gus, that means that your total score is 19, and that's not enough to advance. I'm sorry, but this is the end of the line for you. You've done an amazing job in this game, but today was just not your day. Your total scores (graphic posted later) {Spoiler} Strykerdarksilence | 42 | Sudden Rush | 41 | Freak Double H | 38 | UT is Sparklethulhu | 26 | RatedGDR Gus Richlen is EVIL!! | 19 |
The next round will be posted within the next 12 hours.

Gus, awesome game! I hope you enjoyed it. Sorry you had to leave us. Last round was awesome all around.
Here are my running comments from the previous round ...
***
KT Tunstall "Black Horse & The Cherry Tree" on Jools Well, if this doesn’t get 1st place score for me, then there are seriously some just flat out KILLER performances I’m in store for. KT Tunstall live is a thing of beauty (no, not talking about her looks). Her artistry far outweighs superficial beauty. I’ve seen her do this song several different ways live, and it’s always great in each version. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with this pick; I give you kudos, good sir and/or madam.
Billy Ray Cyrus - Back to Tennessee - Good Morning America This was a fine performance. I think there were a lot of choices you could have gone with here, so I'm a little confused why this particular one made the cut over so many others. Not a bad song by any means, but we'll just have to see how it holds up against the rest of the list.
The Black Keys - Stack Shot Billy - Live on The Late Show Yes! I was seriously rocking out to this song. A terrific pick as far as I’m concerned, very original and effective. I didn’t think I’d see a Black Keys in this competition, so thanks for the pleasant surprise. Good timing on popping this gem out of nowhere.
The Verve Pipe - The Freshmen -- Jenny McCarthy Show Wow. Three out of the first four songs I come to are tearing it up. I really don’t understand how this song can go wrong with any music listener. It’s phenomenal, from it’s layering to its composition to its lyrics to its grinding vocals. I have not heard or seen this version before and it doesn’t really matter. This song is killer. Good job!
Killing Heidi - Weir (The 10.30 Slot) Don’t make fun of me, but I’m not familiar with Killing Heidi, so thanks for taking a leap of faith with what seems to be a pretty good artist. I think it’s a fresh sound vocally at times, and it’s a solid pick. I also think, however, that the lead singer gets a little ambitious on the “free form” stuff and it’s borderline grating rather than the intended positive effect of adding in a little cacophonic run like some artists in the alternative genre do a little more successfully. Still, not bad at all. Again, I feel guilty like I’m supposed to know who this act is, so I’m definitely going to go back and look for some more of this group’s songs a little later when I’m done judging.
Oasis - Live Forever (Acoustic) MTV’s Most Wanted Another great great pick! I don’t think I want this round to end. I’m really really glad you didn’t go for an obvious Oasis choice here. This is prime example of “the chops” Liam has on vocals. It’s a very minimalist piece that allows the band to cut loose on the gift that got them all the acclaim they’ve earned: that distinctive vocal and sound. It’s hard to find a place for all of these great songs at the top, so just be patient while I try to find its rightful place among the mix of great songs thus far.
Brad Paisley Performs "American Saturday Night" – Jimmy Kimmel Live Yes! Yes! Another good song! You all are doing a wonderful job of putting the pressure on me here. It seems like we had a less than impressive round or two much earlier in the game and that would have been the perfect place for a song like this to find its mark. If it doesn’t hit one of the high marks on my rankings, it’s not because I think this is bad. You just may have gotten outgunned, that’s all. Still, I commend you on a good pick.
"Buster Voodoo" - Rodrigo y Gabriela --on Jools Oh yeah! I know this duo! I had almost forgotten about them. Wow! Insane, just insane! Every single contestant wants to win this game, and I love it! I thought the earlier picks had solidified some of the top spots in this round, but welcome near the top, my friend. Tremendous pick, and I predict some thread-watchers/contestants might be thanking you for introducing them to this tandem. I wish you and some of these others would stay in this competition now and keep wow’ing me like this.
The Living End - Prisoner Of Society (Recovery) You know what’s a shame? That this video only has 277 views on YouTube. Great work here. I love the dip into originality here, and even though it’s not one of the more well known bands on the list, these guys rock it. You may have just introduced some people to a new band as well. I commend you on this choice, and I feel like a broken record when I say this but I’m not sure where this is going to rank in the grand scheme of it all. But I will say that rankings don’t necessarily tell you the one thing numbers can’t say here: this song kicks butt!
"Cymbal Rush" - Thom Yorke (from The Henry Rollins Show) Amazing! Absolutely friggin’ amazing! I’ll never be able to figure out how he can get those sounds to come out of his mouth. I’m going to have to do some serious serious deliberation over what my top 3 placements will be now. This has bolted right near the top. I’m always so perplexed by Yorke and Radiohead anyway, so actually putting a ranking on this song seems a little dirty to me. It’s like a cult member telling Charles Manson, “Eh, you’re pretty alright by me, I guess.” Well done, chooser of this song!
Whoa! You mean that’s it for the choices? No more? I want more! Encore! Encore! At this point, I just want to say that seeing live bands on television variety shows is one of my all-time favorite things about watching TV. One of my favorite all-time shows is watching Late Night with Conan, and I always watch till the end for the live music performances. Live music is one thing, but on a television show, it just seems like you’re getting that one special hotshot from the artist at that moment in time.
Your rankings: 1. "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" - KT Tunstall 2. "Buster Voodoo" - Rodrigo y Gabriela 3. "Cymbal Rush" - Thom Yorke 4. "Stack Shot Billy" - The Black Keys 5. "The Freshmen" - The Verve Pipe 6. "Live Forever" – Oasis (it’s an absolute CRIME and a travesty that I have this ranked 6th on ANY list) 7. "Prisoner of Society" - The Living End 8. "Weir" - Killing Heidi 9. "American Saturday Night" - Brad Paisley 10. "Back To Tennessee" - Billy Ray Cyrus
I think I can go on record as saying this is the best round out of any of the three Wrestlecrap Idol games thus far. We had a really good round recently, and now we have Mix Tape #2 for me from this game. This may sound over-the-top, but listening to this song list was a pleasure and a highlight of the day. Thanks for the effort, gang!

LIVE, from wherever your computer is located, THIS... is Wrestlecrap Idol!
Hello, I'm THE Baldy Kendrick, and welcome back to Wrestlecrap Idol.
I can't think of a witty introduction, so I'm going to give you the category, which should be self-explanitory. This round's task is...
THE BRIDE'S CHALLENGE.
It's so easy, I shouldn't have to explain anything. Wait... it's not that easy, is it? Ah well, I'll explain it. For this challenge, you must bring to this round what a bride wears on her wedding day.
No, not nothing. I said wedding day, not wedding night. Jeez. Perverts.
Anyways, you must bring something OLD, something NEW, something BORROWED, and something BLUE.
For the OLD pick, you must pick a song from before 1970.
For the NEW pick, you must pick a song from 2007 or later.
For the BORROWED pick, you must pick a cover or remix.
For the BLUE pick, you must pick a blues song.
Your deadline is 55 and a half hours from now; Saturday night, 11:59pm. Good luck!
