Wow, this is going to be a tough round. So many ideas bouncing through my head, but what to choose.
Lots of deep thinking will be needed.

Folks, the songs are in to the judges. My opinion doesn't matter, of course, but I believe that there are some real good songs that will get low scores just because the competition is so deep. Nice job all around.

LIVE, from wherever your computer is, it's the Wrestlecrap Idol Results Show! Hi, I'm THE Baldy Kendrick, and welcome back to Wrestlecrap Idol. Let's get right to it. Before our scores reset, our top four were Sudden Rush, An Orange With No Name, Strykerdarksilence, and Undisputed Evil Double H. Could those four please step forward... Rush, your pick was the Ocarina of Time Medley from Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Orange, you went with Ace Frehley's "Space Bear." Stryker, your pick was the Booker T & The MGs classic "Green Onions." And Double H, your choice was "Sakura Sakura" by Rin'. Now this is usually the part of the show where I announce that one of you is in the Bottom 3. I won't do that here, for two reasons. One; due to ties, we have a Bottom 4 this round. And two, it's not one of you in the Bottom 4... it's three of you. The one of you who is safe is... {Spoiler}Stryker. You were in third last round, and you're in third this round. Who will be the last competitor to join the 'first-to-worst' group? Let's find out. Michael Hayden, Gus Richlen, please step forward... Before the reset, you two were in the middle of the pack. Michael, your choice was Daft Punk's "Aerodynamic, while Gus went with my personal favorite of the round, a live performance of Mason Williams' "Classical Gas." Since there's only room for one in the Bottom 4, at least one of you is safe. Who is it? {Spoiler}Both of you. Nice picks. Before the reset, the Bottom 4 were, from worst to first, Evil M-eanie, El Hoochadore, Freddie is Steve is UT, and Sweet n' Sour. All four of you please step forward... Meanie, your pick was "Nashville Blues" by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Hooch, your choice was "Sparks" by game favorite The Who. UT, your choice was perhaps the one with my favorite name, "Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Dead)" from the Guilty Gear series. And Sweet, you went with a wrestling theme, "Ministry of Darkness" from the days of The Undertaker's Ministry. M-eanie, you were in last before the reset. You're in first now. Have a seat, you're safe. The rest of you, two of you went from the Bottom 4 to the Top 4. One of you, like Macho Man, remains in the danger zone. The one of you in trouble is... {Spoiler}UT. I'm sorry, but you're in the Bottom 4. Now that we have our Bottom 4, all of you please step forward... One of you has to be in last place. Who is it? Will it be one of the players formally in the Top 4? Or will it be the player who's been near the bottom the entire game to this point? The player currently in last place is... {Spoiler}An Orange With No Name. Your scores for this round... {Spoiler}

Mah comments as I was judging: *** Well, another less than typical round. I’m interested to see these picks, but also interested to see when some of our actual favorite songs and artists can come into play once the “niche rounds” get a little played out. Instrumental it is, and it’s one of my faves, though I’m anticipating people going with “songs” rather than more classical pieces (I love so many of them), but that’s fine as well. Let’s see what we have here. "Green Onions" - Booker T & the MGs www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bpS-cOBK6QI like this song and always have. An instrumental song staple, so I anticipate a good ranking here when all is said and done. "Aerodynamic" - Daft Punk www.youtube.com/watch?v=14xgbeHsJXI“Daft Punk is playing at my [computer] … my [computer].” Anyone? Nothin’? Ok, I’ll just judge the song. I don’t think you’ve done what I would call a “bad job” here, but I anticipate some songs are just going to be stronger. I’ll get through the list and see if this holds up. "Space Bear" - Ace Frehley www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaDO_X_LxHgI was hoping we’d get on a roll, but this plus the previous song isn’t particularly allowing the momentum to flow here. Also, isn’t this tied to KISS (an already used band) since it’s Ace Frehley? "Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Dead) - Daisuke Ishiwatari www.youtube.com/watch?v=H03L1SOSk8MAh, now I see why THE Baldy Kendrick is so giddy in his earlier post about this round. Video game music – one of his favorites, I think. Unfortunately, I personally would have much rather had some different representation for instrumentals with all the instrumental choices available. I think video game music can get a little repetitive in these games. (Between having to see another “video game” music round and “DDR round”, I was once leaning toward jumping out a window if I had to see another one of those category types pop up.) In your favor, not a particularly bad choice with this one though. Ministry of Darkness" - Jim Johnston www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TWq4id8jlEI was really really hoping more people would go this route. This definitely trumps the endless string of video game songs we’ve been seeing in these games. Definitely NOT my favorite wrestling theme, but you have the right idea and I credit you, good sir. "Ocarina of Time Medley" - Michiko Naruke www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJIM_JwHGFkVideo game theme again, sure, but it’s a little on the original side, gotta give you that. Wasn’t there a popular 90s dance that went along to this one at sports stadiums and proms all across the U.S.? Heeeey Oc-a-rina! AhHAA! "Nashville Blues" - Nitty Gritty Dirt Band www.youtube.com/watch?v=Arosxe_svzMGreat band choice and great fresh approach to the game. Thanks for this choice and for something more along the lines of the parameters of this round that I was anticipating. I love it. "Sakura Sakura" - Rin www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DOg2Rpg0-4Heeey, whatta ya know, someone goes Japanese traditional without leaning on a video game composition. (No, that’s not meant to sound sarcastic; I’m saying it’s a good thing.) I think I probably would have preferred a less “souped up” version, but it’s a good choice. I’m picturing Christopher Walken saying, “What this song neeeds … is more koto.” "Sparks" - The Who www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah66Jji74TkGood song from a good album. I’m a particular fan of the 1:08 mark onward through 1:33. But yes, overall great choice in my opinion. "Classical Gas (Live)" - Mason Williams www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSiqsCCnnHwI’m familiar with most of these choices, but very familiar with this one. And with good reason. I like it a lot and it’s a good song to just go youtube from time to time as it is. Way to cap off a solid round of choices. 1. "Classical Gas (Live)" - Mason Williams 2. "Sparks" - The Who 3. "Nashville Blues" - Nitty Gritty Dirt Band 4. "Green Onions" - Booker T & the MGs 5. "Sakura Sakura" - Rin 6. Ministry of Darkness" - Jim Johnston 7. "Ocarina of Time Medley" - Michiko Naruke 8. "Aerodynamic" - Daft Punk 9. "Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Dead) - Daisuke Ishiwatari 10. "Space Bear" - Ace Frehley Since there’s no danger of anyone using it now that this stage of the competition has come and gone, I had a certain “first song” from a particular “double album” from the 90s in mind for this round for some reason. Not sure it would have scored well with every judge, but I know at least one of you (a judge) will see what I’m getting at with that vague comment. *** Evil M-eanie may be my pick to click in this competition. I just have a sneaking suspicion about his musical stylings. Round 1 and Round 4 with a big thumbs up from me for him. It’s anonymous when we get the songs, but I’m now looking at you, man. The pressure’s on you now to keep it up. (I can’t really base much off of Round 3, because it wasn’t about taste, it was about lack of taste--a sort of left-handed way of trying to win this competiton.) I’m also thrilled to see comments coming in the thread so close to the results being posted each of the four rounds thus far. Like me, a few of you are really revved about this competition, it seems. I love it! Keep it up, folks! I’m already interested to see where this next round takes us. EDIT: Also, I meant to add this too at the end. I'm loving THE Baldy Kendrick's write-ups. I'm not even a contestant and you've got me hooked on some of the build-up in the results. I always liked the style of your comments too when you judged.

TMichael Hayden: STILL in it to win it.
(Not bad placing Top 5 once again. I really seem to be settling into a bit of a groove here with the rankings.)

Déjà vu. Sensing 6th. *** Instrumental it is, and it’s one of my faves, though I’m anticipating people going with “songs” rather than more classical pieces (I love so many of them), but that’s fine as well. Maybe I should have used my original pick then. Whaddya think Baldy K?

LIVE, from wherever your computer is located, THIS... is Wrestlecrap Idol!
Hi, I'm THE Baldy Kendrick, and welcome back to Wrestlecrap Idol.
I don't really have much of an intro today, so this round's theme is:
NOT RIGHT NOW, BUT RIGHT NOW
Your task: Select a song from this past decade. It must have been released sometime between 2000 and 2009. Remember, this is an elimination round, so bring the noise!
Your song must be in within 72 hours and 22 minutes: by Wednesday, Noon central.
Good luck to all of you!

I'm proud of this round pick more than any other. Even more than my "Freakazoid" pick last competition.
And I love Freakazoid, so that's saying something.
