You know, it's occurred to me that I really dislike Ken Anderson. I thought he was alright in the WWE, nothing special by any means, and maybe it's just everything that's happened outside of the ring but the guy kind of annoys me. Who knows, maybe he's just doing one hell of a job playing an honest to goodness heel and I just don't realize it. But most of the time, when he comes on my TV, I just kind of roll my eyes. He just seems like a jerk, I suppose. And I don't know why someone whose gimmick is essentially that of a one-trick pony is made out to be this soon to be mega star. Catch phrases are so lame to me, and it seems to be part of his draw to a lot of folks. Plus, he's really not anything great in the ring. Not terrible. Not great. Oh, and those tattoos...ugh. At least his tights now are using that motif so it makes some vague sense. Before it was just another guy with terrible, faux tribal finger paints. I don't have any particularly strong feelings about this one way or another but I just wanted to see if anyone else out there was just...not a fan.

His whole "Miiiisterrrrrrr Aaaaaandeerson" spiel is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I never understood why fans liked it in WWE, and I don't understand why they like it in TNA. Thankfully my remote has a mute button.

It was kind of clever at first, it was retro-chic. But now it's just...like move on. It's enough to have it in your music at the beginning, as he does, you don't need to yell it yourself every time you're on screen dude, seriously.

I can honestly say that I've only been a fan of his for during the brief window of time when he was set to go against Edge on Smackdown. I think his ring work suffered greatly after his injuries and I never thought his character advanced much besides the initial gimmick. Hopefully, his stint in TNA will show off what he's capable of. I'm not on the band wagon, yet.

I think he's got charisma, but he's so bland in the ring I have no interest in watching his matches. His match with Lashley at No Way Out 2007 is played endlessly in Hell, I think.

I'm going to give him a fair chance even though I feel indifferent to him. I think if he can go without injuring himself for a long period of time, I could grow to like him. He looked pretty comfortable when I saw him last week.

That entrance is such a waste of time.

glad i'm not alone. i even gave it a chance - again - tonight on Impact, and i don't get it.
i get that he's supposed to be a jerk, but his voice is indeed nails on a chalkboard, i hate the way he enunciates words, and he pauses alot, and between pauses he tends to bob his head around like a chicken.
i can totally see why people are enamored with him, especially when charisma is lacking in today's wrestling companies, i would rather see Pope. he's new and fresh. even as a heel he would be tremendous. but that'snother threat for another time.

I could not disagree more. Mr. Anderson/Kennedy is awesome.

I have to disagree. Anderson's intro ("Miiiisstteerr"....) can be a little annoying, but his overall ability on the mic is superb. He is a natural heel and he seems so comfortable behind the mic. That is step 1 in becoming a star. He can always be carried in the ring, but having the charisma is important.

I don't even hate him. I just don't care.
Nothing he did in WWE got me on his side, the repeating name thing got old real fast (and is now simply irritating the longer he stretches it out) and he steadfastly refused to light a fire with his in-ring efforts.
I'll give some credit here - the Jarrett Impact match was fairly solid. But I think most of that credit is to Jarrett, and 'solid' will never be the same thing as 'impressive'.
I know if Anderson was able to read something like this he wouldn't care a jot, and why should he? I'm just some guy on the Net. He might even post one of his ha-ha-hiLARious videos mocking this view.
But it would still be my view.
If Anderson were to suddenly disappear off the face of the earth tomorrow, I wouldn't even give it a second thought. Sorry Ken, you're just a huge walking "meh" to me.

Since I don't like Dane Cook's comedy routine, I don't like Anderson's shtick. At least TNA finally has a heel who the lemmings won't cheer for. Besides the "Planet Jarrett" era Jeff Jarrett.

I like Anderson. I in particular loved the bit where Jarrett was trying to get to his feet, stumbling, and Anderson was mocking him.

Yeah, as a heel, Anderson SHOULD be annoying and unlikable.
Now, if you're indifferent to him, that's a different story, but if he's just being obnoxious and grating, well...yeah. That's his job.

I like Anderson. I'd say he's further along than the Pope. Don't get me wrong, Pope is great, but Anderson is already at that next level where he comes off as totally natural. He is truly controversial and while he might not have the flashiest set of moves he gets the crowd involved in the match, and I think that's more important to be honest. And it's all too rare nowadays, with a lot of today's wrestlers, they wrestle like they don't even know the crowd is there and don't play to the fans at all.
I do agree that he doesn't need to do the "MISTERRRRR" thing everytime. I don't think he should drop it altogether, but maybe save it for big matches or something.

I like his persona, but his ring work is kind of bland. He fits in better with WWE with their bland wrestlers.

I kind of already said this, but more specifically, I don't get the "bland ring work" thing at all. Like I said, he doesn't do a whole lot of flashy moves but he actually does do a few (especially in big matches) and he plays to the crowd more than most guys. "Bland" is one of the last words I would use to describe his in-ring style, the guy is different.

That entrance is such a waste of time. Dude it's his whole gimick. That isn't a waste of time unless the fans fart on you. He gets his heat so it's working ergo not a waste of time. But if you don't like him thats ok. Watch the show for somebody else
