So, time to go back to Tenay endlessly going on about "the worlds tallest steel cage!" once Lockdown rolls around?

Never been a fan of the 6 sided ring... not sad to see it go.

Expect the announcers now hype how much sharper the corners are in a 4 sided ring compared to the old one. Irish whips do so much more damage.

Anything that could lead to them branding themselves as an alternative helps. This does not. The fact that they exist brands them as an alternative. While the 6 sided ring hasn't hurt the product it has done nothing to help it at all. There was nothing unique about them having a 6 sided ring, they weren't even the first or the only ones to currently use one. Hell the only person who ever even tried to use the advantage of the 2 extra sides hasn't been in the company for years.

Damn I miss the FOXSports.net days when the X Division actually used the six sided ring and Monty Brown would pounce people out their shoes from different angles. Oh the good old days.

This really sucks for Lockdown. I would hope they maybe make that the one night a year they bust out the Six Sides of Steel and have a regular ring and cage throughout the rest of the year.

I'm going to miss Sixey. He had a good run and had some great moments. The X Division isn't going to seem the same. No more great angles to take.

I think this is a bummer, it made TNA unique, plus TNA talked up having the 6 sided ring for so long and now its just gone. It will just be weird going back to a regular ring, if it doesn't effect the product I won't mind as much but I hope this is a change for the better and not just something they "think" will make the product better

"We have 4 sides but, only one Angle"
Nope, just doesn't have the same ring to it.

I agree with people who say it is nothing but a simple cosmetic change, but at the same time slowly they keep changing the product more and more where it wasn't needed and it just seems to be setting a bad trend. I agree with this to a degree. While I liked the different ring, I feel this is one of many ideas that is part of changes that many won't like.

I can't believe they going back to a four sided ring. It's not going to break my heart or anything, but I thought the six sided ring gave it a more MMA type look. And like others have said, it was one thing that differentiated TNA from the other wrestling organizations. When watching any random clip, you would know if it was a TNA match by the shape of then ring.

I hate to even suggest it, but a part of me is wondering if going to a 4-sided ring is temporary as part of the "new era" angle. In other words I can see Sting looking down at the 4-sided ring from the rafters and being upset as he watches Hogan and Bischoff destroy the things that used to make TNA be TNA.
Assuming the change is permanent though, I guess I can see why they are doing it. They have made no secret that 2010 is an all new era for TNA, and perhaps they want a new look to go along with it. I did like the 6 sided ring for no other reason than I thought it looked cool, but I can't deny changes are afoot for TNA. Sometimes changes are good.
To be honest, I would have been happier to see them change the name "TNA" than to change the ring. If Hogan really wants to be able to go to war with WWE, a name that doesn't mean "Tits N Ass Wrestling" isn't going to do them any favors.

Thank god that eight sided ring is gone i couldnt stand it. Thats one reason i couldnt get use to watching tna. That ring belongs in the ufc not in wrestling. Also i think hogan and bischoff got it right on that. If we can get back to basic wrestling tna can at least give up a option other than wwe which is crap.
