So, in the middle of watching Bret Hart's WWE return speech (which, by the way, made me go cold), I realized "Hey, I'd better check TNA". I log onto their website, expecting to see Hardy. When all I see is Hogan (get used to that), I think, "Oh, must've been NEWZ". When I check the results, I find that it isn't newz, and that they didn't give a RECENT (Keyword there) former WWE Champion who has just left the company any mention whatsoever on the main page. If I was just looking for Hardy, I wouldn't've looked at the results.
I think I'm looking at WCW.

Consdering all that happened, I doubt you can just summerize everything as "Jeff Hardy showed up."

Jeff didn't much of anything worth mentioning, anyway. He showed up, painted a pretty picture, and left.

Jeff didn't much of anything worth mentioning, anyway. He showed up, painted a pretty picture, and left. That's part of the problem as well. He should have done something worth mentioning. He's a former WWE World Champion, who a few short months ago was at the peak of his popularity carrying what was considered to be the best wrestling show on TV at the time. Unless he isn't there to stay, they should have done something to expose him more, rather than the have the washed-up brigade start a storyline about young guys and control of the company once again...yawn.

Yea! And Val Venis playing strip poker! And Ric Flair! And Jeff Jarrett! And Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, and Kevin Nash! Hell yea! Big, big changes! Lookin toward the future, they are!! Sorry...too easy...

Why wouldn't TNA put Hogan on at the same time WWE has Bret on? You combat the opposition's biggest draw of the night with your own, don't you?

I'm just concerned what the main event for Genesis will be now. As great a match as Styles/Angle was, I hope they have something planned for the PPV to up the ante.

Now that the Hogan dust has settled in TNA, they should be hyping the f*** out of Jeff Hardy, he's the biggest acquisition since Kurt Angle because he's a recent champion who can still go in the ring.

Did anyone else catch TNA's spoiling of the Hardy return before the show started? Me and my friend had UFC on before Impact started, and during UFC they showed a commercial where they did a quick TNA advertisement spot and they showed Hardy and Moore stepping out of a car and Taz announced that Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore were there at the Impact Zone.
Oh and I have always hated Jeff Hardy's TNA theme song. I really hope he gets a new one, even if it's just a knockoff of his WWE theme with a few notes changed.

Why not make Hardy a centerpiece of the new "young guy faction"? He's appealing to the younger crowd and would certainly draw people to the "new product". Instead of doing this he's already taking the backseat while the old and tired guys of yesterdecade try to cash in another paycheck.

I don't think Hardy has actually signed for them. I'm thinking maybe Dixie said "ok we will sign your Buddy Shannon, if you do us a favour and show up on our big Monday show."
When Hardy and shannon got their "contracts" Hardy did not seem so enthusiastic.

Jeff Hardy SHOULD have been the shocker of the night, as he was the biggest new face that today's younger WWE audience would care for, and maybe pick TNA over Raw. Instead, they barely used him last night. I think that was a mistake.

Instead, they barely used him last night. I think that was a mistake. I think if he wasn't facing charges, he would've been more prominently featured. Having him come on creates buzz, but you can survive if he ends up having to miss alot of time, or even in jail. Having him be the centerpiece of your show, and then have him miss time is something else.

It's a sad day when you realize Jeff Hardy really is the best acquisition TNA has had since Angle. A bigger deal then the NWO guys, Hulk Hogan, even Ric Flair. The fact they have a recognized, credible main event guy who can actually work is a much bigger deal then "Hey remember WCW?"

Jeff Hardy might mean more to the 13 year olds watching WWE, but I think last night was about TNA trying to reach out to those who have abandoned wrestling in the last nine years.
