So, you're logged in and chilling out at home. You have a life so you're not constantly at the computer. You may have "timed out" from being signed on in the meantime. The top line of the Forums clearly states, "Hey, ______, you have ___ messages, __ are new." Obviously, you're logged in. You click around all over the place, and you're still apparently in good shape. You eventually hit "reply" to a thread. You spend all that time writing a long, well thought out post, you hit "submit" ..... and you get the whole "you are not signed in" message of death! I HATE HATE HATE that, and it's the one thing I just can't deal with at all. IF I'M NOT LOGGED IN, DON'T CONTINUALLY SHOW ME AS LOGGED IN, PROBOARDS!!!
===============================
(I like the forums. I'm just overstating/overexpressing in the thread title, because this one issue is the only thing that legitimately puts me in a foul, hateful mood when I come here. I just had to vent because it's happened at least 20 times to me since I've had this account.)
================================
Oh, and I meant this as a mini-rant that ticked me off at the time. It wasn't designed to open a can of worms and be a free-for-all uprising against the boards. I'm just ticked because I keep getting logged off even though I never logged off (and yes, I logged in "forever").

Why don't you just stay logged in forever? Although this happened to me at work the other night because I thought I had logged in for 12 hours but I only logged in for 6. I wrote a match out for the WWCF e-fed and went to send it and was logged out. I was pretty upset because I had spent about an hour on it.

Just press the back button next time and copy what you wrote. If you're using Firefox the text you entered will still be there.

I HATE HATE HATE that, and it's the one thing I just can't deal with at all. IF I'M NOT LOGGED IN, DON'T CONTINUALLY SHOW ME AS LOGGED IN, PROBOARDS!!! Stuff like that used to happen to me fairly often, so I took the habit of copying the text I just typed before clicking "post reply" and I sometimes paste it in WordPad just in case I wander around and start copying something else. As for stuff I hate in these forums... well, let's be honest, the reason I rarelly check the WWE section of the forums anymore is because people tend to get reeaaally elitist there, especially the so-called "smart marks" who believe that they are entitled to mercilessly trash the guys who bust their ass on a daily basis to entertain us. And don't get me wrong, I like a good debate and constructive criticism, but so many people apparently feel they just HAVE to complain about every single show (yet they keep watching it religiously, way to show the WWE you don't like their product) and nitpick about every single detail, no matter how insignificant, and the unverified rumors of backstage stuff spread by crappy news sites treated as fact even if there's no proof aside from "one source" (and BTW, while I'll admit Meltzer is way more professional than most, we still shouldn't take his publication as gospel). Let's face it, none of us know what's going on once the cameras go off, so please, PLEASE quit acting like you know everything about everything that wrestlers do or think, because you don't know jack about it, and neither do news sites. Only wrestlers do. There's nothing smart about insulting someone you don't know (especially when it amounts to such high levels of wit as "I find Ashley unattractive so I'll call her a tranny! And some wrestler took at least three pounds in the last six months, I NEED to talk about his love for hamburger! Oh boy I'm so clever"), there's nothing smart about blindly believing rumors, speculations and assumptions and there's nothing smart about acting like a know-it-all when you only know sparse details, if anything. And whatever-is-or-isn't-up-there help you if you actually admit that you LIKE the shows and are satisfied by their content (or at least most of it). I am always baffled when I see some people actually blame people for not hating some wrestlers or not giving a crap about alleged backstage politics and nuclear heat and whatnot. And one last thing, I really, really hate it when people claim I can't disagree with smarks because I'm a smark myself because I know wrestling events are scripted. This does not even begin to make sense. A smark is someone who knows (or more likely, claims to know) the behind-the-scenes side of pro wrestling. I don't claim to know that, because I don't. But let's say for the sake of argument that realizing wrestling isn't a true competition is enough to make me a smark... how exactly does that prevent me from disagreeing with other smarks? Like I always say, I'm French, does that also mean I'm not allowed to disagree with other French people? Don't get me wrong, I love the forums (I wouldn't stay here if I didn't now would I?) and to be honest, I can often find intelligent AND fun discussions about pretty much any subject, wrestling-related or not, and every day I am amazed at how civilized and enjoyable this place is, but we really need to quit taking ourselves this seriously when it comes to issues we know virtually nothing about.

Probably the lack of threads containing intelligent discussions or debates. More often than not threads are list threads or threads full of posters trying to get their one liners over as WC memes.

When there's too many threads on people's deaths and the "what/who do you hate the most" threads. Some nights it's so depressing just reading down the names of threads. I'd love it if there could a be a"what/who you like the most" and "living life is awesome" thread day instead. Just for one day. This has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks. Thanks for reading and making this thread. Say humongous yeah yeah yeah to positivity and love instead.

The flat-out cruel things that a lot of people say in threads about female wrestlers. Horse jokes and Arby's jokes aren't funny, and neither is the rest of the garbage that gets slinged at them.

Appreciation threads, I mean Jiminy Christmas, I think there were ten on the WWE page alone one day last week.

When somebody makes a brilliant comment and it's no sold, then somebody else says the same thing and everyone quotes their words of wisdom and says how great they are, how their ideas intrigue them and how would like to subscribe to their newsletter.
The worst thing is you can't even say anything without looking petty and the second person posting it doesn't even have a newsletter.
(Waits for someone else to make the same comment)
