I have to ask...does anyone in the WWE fandom care about TNA being on Monday nights? Over on the TNA forums I hear people say that they're excited, that TNA's gonna overtake Raw, and if you're not excited you're not a "true fan"...while over here in WWE's boards I barely hear a peep about TNA or see anyone excited about this war. So...does anyone here even think it's a war? Or care about TNA? Most of the "TNA's gonna dominate Monday nights!" comes from the diehard WWE haters (which can be found on other, less sophisticated and friendly internet locations) and TNA themselves. I'm a TNA fan and right now I know they don't have a chance at winning any sort of ratings war. All I care about is TNA putting on a quality product that will make me tune in every week, regardless of what day it happens to be on.

I WANT to be excited but really TNA hasn't put on any solid consistent shows for me to actually flip during good RAW stuff. I'll flip to TNA during commercials. I mean sorry TNA you're not going to get me to watch by having Hogan and Bisch having a heart to heart every damn time I click over.
As far as a war until TNA either generates a home grown breakout star or some sort of controversey that hits home, there won't be any "war".

I flip channels, from that standpoint it's kinda nice, but I really just watch whichever is the more interesting segment of the two at the time, and go back and forth that way.

Raw generally holds onto my attention, but it's nice to have a little something to see during commercials.

There is no war. You only have to look at the gap in the ratings from last monday.

Isn't ROH on Monday nights too? Why isn't that called a war too? They're just as significant as TNA is.

TNA has a ton of potential but I still think they are about two or three years out from cracking WWE's audience in a big way.
TNA doesn't have a lot of the advantages that WCW had back in 1995. WWF was way way weaker at the time than they were now. RAW has been on for 16 years now. WCW had the big money of Ted Turner. TNA is making a profit and doing pretty good business but they don't have near that money.
Overall I have been enjoying TNA more than RAW. Impact just seems like it has a lot more going on. It definitely has more of an Attitude Era feel to it than RAW does which is a good thing.

Most WWE fans don't even know that TNA exists, let alone that it's "competing" with WWE. I dunno, I agree with the general feeling that TNA aren't competition and won't be for ages if ever. But they have Angle, Hogan, RVD, Hardy, Sting, Flair and a few others that any casual wrestling fan would know and take an interest in. I'd guess around 80% of WWE fans are aware of TNAs existance, just not interested enough to change the channel yet. IMO TNA is pretty good but aside from RAW sucking for a few months in the summer the WWE has been consistantly good recently. A war won't occur from TNA getting good, it'll occur from WWE dropping the ball in a huge way and that is yet to happen.

P.S. i love hearing when tna's ratings are low You realize probably the quickest way to get WWE out of its mediocrity would be legit competition, right? And if TNA was say, at a 3.2 right now and RAW at a 3.4 I'm betting they'd be putting out the best shows they possibly could trying to beat them because they were so close, and RAW doing the same trying to counter it. So to say that you are HAPPY when TNA's ratings are low is kinda stupid. To say you don't care about it enough to watch it, okay, fair enough, but any wrestling fan should really hope TNA finds an audience, even if it's not you, is a success, and makes WWE pull itself out of this horrible slump they've found themselves in.

It really isn't even WWE vs. TNA, it's TNA vs. Monday Night Raw.
Based on the iMPACT spoilers that I read, NXT and SmackDown clearly blow TNA out of the water.

When they went all out last week they still got a 1.0 compared to an average Raw. This week it was a great Raw againast an awful taped impact. There's no competition.

To do what WCW did, TNA would have to do the equivalent of signing all those big names and I don't mean Hogan...I mean if next week we saw an impact featuring HHH, Cena, Taker, HBK, Jericho, and Orton...well then maybe I could see them as viable competition.

With the exception of people telling me that Psycho Ken was back, I completely ignored Impact last night.
