When Jericho beat Triple H for the title then Hunter bullied Hebner into reversing the decision and erased history of Jericho wining the title I didn't watch again until HHH lost the title. I just thought it was stupidly annoying.
I quit watching RAW the last time Orton was champ. I'll be the first person to say that Orton is an excellent heel. In fact he is so good that I refuse to watch because he annoys me. I don't like him as a face either. Or a person for that matter.
It has been very rare for me to watch Smackdown since the exploitation of Eddie's death. I felt like it was tasteless and it still annoys me to this day.

Not in the WWE, but the day I stopped watching WCW was the day that Bret Hart was released from his contract. Therefore cutting the last little lingering thread that kept me holding on.

Edge and Vickie Guerrero coming together in 2007. Though I might have still stopped altogether until Night of Champions '09 because of Benoit. That just really got me to come to terms with what kind of debauched industry I was watching adamantly for five years beforehand. :/

The whole Benoit thing really bummed me out and I didn't really stop watching completely but I definitely lost interest.

All very good examples in my opinion. For the one who has never been turned away from watching I can totally see that. I know many people who are the same.

The end of the invasion. Not really in a smarky way (I'd been watching since '97, but still hadn't really discovered the IWC yet), but just through a combination of general boredom with the product and an overwhelming feeling of "that's it?" meant that I completely stopped watching.
Ironically enough, it was the Benoit tragedy that got me back into rasslin', at least indirectly. The various media reports and whatnot triggered a vague memory of my liking wrestling in the past, and gradually I checked out a news report here and a spoiler listing there, until I finally bit the bullet and sat down to watch a show. I ended up going from Survivor Series 2001 to the Raw before WM 24. A Lot had changed.

That's actually really interesting that the tragedy helped bring you back in. I have to say you're the first person I've heard say that.

I stopped after WM 20 out of boredom with the product.

Very understandable I'm suprised you didn't stop in the middle of WM 20

While I didn't stop watching *immediately* afterwards, the whole "Kaientai try to castrate Val Venis" angle is when I started to realize I was finding wrestling more embarassing than entertaining, and after a few months I drifted out of following wrestling for about a decade.

The invasion itself. After the first few weeks of sucking I was still trying to hang in there and once Stephanie became ECW owner and they merged WCW and ECW, I just lost interest.
It's not even that I was upset and didn't wanna watch. I just lost interest because it was boring and I ended up not watching for a few years. Needles to say, things weren't much better when I came back either.

Gave up watching regularly in 2007 after finally getting fed up with years of mediocrity. I do usually watch during the lead up to WrestleMania though.
As for particular events, the only one that comes to mind is Shawn winning the title at WM12. That pissed me off so much that I didn't watch any wrestling for nearly a year after that, and ended missing the birth of the nWo and the rise of Stone Cold as a result.

Late 2004/early 2005: Triple H losing the title to Benoit/Edge in a controversial finish, only to immediately win the title back at the New Year's Revolution Elimination Chamber match.
I haven't watched more than one episode every few months or so ever since.

The Invasion. I would have been about 12 and I thought the whole thing was stupid and confusing. I didn't get back into wrestling till I was about 16.
The good thing nowadays is that I can Sky Plus the shows so I can fast forward anything that bores and/or annoys me. If I didn't have the ability to fast forward Hornswoggle I would have quit watching again.

Nothing has. There were times when I seriously considered like after Summer Slam 2004 but I couldn't. I remember I nearly started watching ROH and TNA fulltime and WWE part time for the longest time.
Then I was running out of money or I couldn't find any recent ROH stuff online illegally or they started taking out the matches and shows they had dailymotion and it kind of became stale around early 2008. Also currently I don't have wrestling on TV at the moment due to cable problems and I just watch a show a day later or the parts I liked from the spoilers on YouTube. Plus I'm usually to busy.
Actually I don't read the spoilers of NXT and I watch it on YouTube the next morning. It's that good and exciting of a show to me.
