This may sound a bit serious but when they aired the whole Undertaker getting attacked by the "terrorists" segment on the same day as the 7/7 London bombings, I thought long and hard over ever watching the WWE again. I know the segment never aired in the UK and that it was a pre-taped show but I was still pissed off that it aired.

I would also like to add that if Eddie exploitation didn't made me quit. I don't think I ever will since that was the only time that WWE made me feel disgusted. Well Snitsky baby killing angle got me pretty disgusted as well but I have a feeling if I saw that angle today, I wouldn't mind it.

No incident in particular, but I think I'm close to stopping watching because of boredom with the product.

HBK winning the rumble, I was so pissed off British Bulldog lost in unfair circumstances, his music was playing and he was celebrating damn it! Gorilla Monsoon (I think) should have ordered a restart.

The Katie Vick angle. But not the "Triple H banging the mannequin in the coffin" bit but the week before, where Raw ended with Triple H coming out and accusing Kane as a murderer. I was really getting bored with everything before that but when that happened, I was just like "Really?" and stopped watching, so I narrowly avoided the "screwed her brains out" incident.
I don't think I watched on a regular basis since then. The only time I came close was the ECW revival of 2006 because they were trying something new and it was interesting. But after a few months when it died down and it was obvious that ECW was just going to become the "C-Show" instead of its own entity, I gave up again. Really, the only show I'm watching right now with any regularity is NXT, mostly for the same reasons I watched during the ECW revival.

Nothing has ever made me stop watching, but I must say that Cena as top draw has made me seriously consider it (Raw, at least).
Nothing against the guy personally, but the character bores me to tears.

I stopped watching after Cena won at Unforgiven 06 and started again at WrestleMania 24 when I heard about HBK/Flair and Edge/Taker. Everything I know about that period I learned from Wikipedia and Youtube shortly after WM 24.
I did watch the Raw where Y2J returned however.

No incident made me quit either, I just "grew out of it" for a while.

I've never stopped watching for years or anything, but it doesn't bother me to not watch anymore. It used to be, especially up until about 2002, that I would never miss a Raw because who knew what could happen. Now I just feel like they're going through the motions, and I don't really care about any of the characters.
It really hit me when I watched the Summerslam ppv this year. I decided that to get ready, I would watch my favorite Summerslam of all time, 1992. Well I watched Summerslam 1992 and then I watched the one this year, and I realized that it didn't even come close to it. I'm just burnt out on the product.
I don't really see myself getting back into that mode of needing to watch every week either, because the characters are just so hard to relate to. Once Undertaker and Shawn are done, that will probably be when I'm done too.
Not like I don't try to like it though, I watched last monday, but the only parts I really enjoyed of either WWE or TNA were when the "old" guys were on. Bret, Shawn, Hogan, Hall, Nash, etc. That's the generation I grew up with, and I guess that's the generation I'll retire with.

Every now and then I have to wonder if some of the more casual fans phased out of watching Smackdown! simply because of it moving to Thursday nights and they couldn't be bothered to make the switch.

Nothing has ever made me quit watching. I've been watching since I was 8 years old(1996) and got on right at the beginning of the NWO storyline. I remember the first Nitro I ever watched was the one where Hall and Nash attacked everyone in the locker room and Nash threw Rey head first into a trailer like a dart. I started watching WWF a few months later. The first thing I remember seeing on there was Rikishi in that Sultan gimmick against The Rock before he was even The Rock.
I started to lose some interest around 2005. WWE just went downhill over all since the Brand Extension and the piss poor way they did the Invasion angle. I think WWE wrestling-wise is getting much better with them signing smaller guys and more indy guys such as CM Punk and Matt Sydal(Evan Bourne) and TNA has always kept my interest even though I sometimes get annoyed just as much with them but I think both companies are on the right path to something really good again.

No incident in particular, but I think I'm close to stopping watching because of boredom with the product. this around August/September 2001, the godawful invasion storyline kept me away from watching/reading about WWE for more than a year

I quit watching WCW in 2000 because of the nonsensical storylines which got in way of the good wrestling which still appeared from time to time. I think a combination of Goldberg's heel turn, seeing guys like Jeff Jarret and David Arquette as World champion, the confusion over shoots and works, and just general bad television made me give up on WCW for good.
I wasn't too happy with the WWF near the end of 2000 and the begining of 2001 was pretty boring to me. The storylines seemed to get repetitive and if it hadn't been for The Rock and a few others I would have stopped right then. It was the Invasion which kept me interested and along with Rock vs. Jericho I kept watching for the rest of 2001.
What finally turned me off the WWF was the terrible quality of Raw and the superpushes of HHH and Brock Lesnar. When Rock lost at Summerslam 2002 I felt that was it for the Rock. I already had less time to spend watching wrestling due to high school, but after a while it seemed that the wrestlers I cared about were either on Smackdown or they weren't going to be doing anything important any time soon. The final straw was seeing Kane get embarassed against HHH during the Katie Vick storyline. I missed the part where he screwed a mannequin but even before that part the feud already sucked. I was tired of HHH as a heel back in 2000 and seeing him doing the same **** but without decent logic behind it helped encourage me to stop watching wrestling regularly. I would watch Smackdown whenever I got the chance and I tried to catch TNA when I could but when Eddie died I lost interest completely. If it wasn't for Youtube and Jericho's return I wouldn't be watching wrestling right now.

I missed the second half of 2006 and 2/3rds of 2007 due to not having access to the internet or TV, and caught back on just around the time Jericho made his re-debut. If it wasn't for this board, I would probably be a full fledged UFC mark and look at wrestling with a bit of disdain.

Well, I stopped watching wrestling all together in 2000 after 8 years of being a wrestling fan. A younger cousin helped me get back into in '06. Everything was good until the Benoit incident happened, and it really killed the majority of my enthusiasm for WWE.
I still watched, but by around 2008 I was pretty burned out on the product, and after Mania 24 I stopped all together. Nothing really happens, nothing changes, no surprises, nothing worth watching for. With no competition, no new great talent, and all of my favorite wrestlers either retired, old, or dead, what is the point in continuing.
Going by what I have read, nothing has changed since I stopped watching. Same things that happened 4 years ago are still happening today, It's as if RAW is stuck in Groundhog Day. As I said before, once they start caring about their product and quit half-assing it, I'll start watching.

I haven't watched Raw live since the 30minute Jerry Spring BullShit, I check the results and youtube the interesting matches but with that debacle I've turned into a TNA Turncoat
We have filters for a reason. No typing around them.

Raw in 2000 when Jericho beat HHH and the decision was immediately reversed.
