And Urban Meyer apologizes for is outburst against the reporter. I wonder if it took the AD or NCAA to get involved, though. Idt its the NCAA's business. I hate whenever players or coaches get in trouble for lashing out on the media(and this is coming from a Journalist)

I hate whenever players or coaches get in trouble for lashing out on the media(and this is coming from a Journalist) It's an image issue, so it is their business. Without the NCAA, Meyer isn't a millionaire and Florida athletes don't have full rides. I wouldn't be surprised if the university got a phone call because a coach threw a hissy fit that a player was quoted. And, personally, I don't really care if he got in trouble or not. If a sports reporter crosses the line, they coach/player has every reason to call them out. But I don't think the reporter did anything to warrant Meyer's tantrum in this case. And even as a college football fan, I'm always for players and coaches getting their sails deflated on occasion.

Probably not..................I believe the comments were under stress so when that happens, it takes a few days to realize how stupid you were and that you need to apologize.

Even if it was, I'd doubt he didn't get calls from at least the university when the story broke.

I can't be the only one who thinks this color turf thing is stupid, even as April Fools jokes.
