(But who am I kidding, the Yankees and Red Sox will just continue to sign multiple big name free agents EVERY year to replace the old guys who leave, thus allowing them to always compete.) Thanks, now you just made me post this:

A DC Restaurant named BGR: The Burger Joint has introduced the "Strausburger" to their menu. The burger is topped with a hot dog and smothered in aged Vermont cheddar cheese. The hot dog symbolizes Strasburg's professional debut with the Phoenix Desert Dogs in 2009. It's topped with "Syracuse Orange" aged Vermont cheddar to represent his promotion to Triple-A Syracuse. All that is on top of a BGR patty to signify his new home with the Nationals. The burger sells for $10.99 through the end of June. BGR will donate $1 from every sale to Children's National Medical Center. Too bad I won't be in DC at that time (Going in August to start school.) That would've been a good way to celebrate my first class at American ;D

Grr, I was supposed to go to the Mets game tonight and get to watch Santana.
Now my ticket's only good for tomorrow night's game in the twin bill, no Johan.

David Kaplan had a pretty interesting stat.....so far this season...Derrek Lee has not made contact on any ball that has been over 93mph.

Cano has his 3rd straight 3-hit game. AVG right now is .378

*checks the Red Sox score* So, how bout that bullpen?... Well it certainly didn't help that Justin Masterson and his 1-5 record, 5.46 ERA and .370 BAA vs. LHB completely shut down the Red Sox lineup tonight.

I'm quite glad I switched over to the Stanley Cup Final Game after the 7th inning tonight. Might as well watch a Chicago team I want to see win at the moment. This just furthers the fact that I hate Fu-Te Ni. He came in with 1 out in the 8th with men on the corners in a 9-3 game. Somehow, he made it 15-3 by the time the inning ended. I'm just thankful it wasn't a pressure situation, because usually, the exact same thing happens. The worst part is that is ERA is under 4 because the runs that are scored are charged to the previous pitcher. It's not their fault though. Ni just sucks, well, at least I think so.

Thank you SO much for Justin Masterson. Agreed, big time. I checked the box score this morning and actually got to do a happy dance. It's become a rare occurrane, and that saddens me, yet isn't all that unfamiliar given my childhood memories of the team.

The Mets lose a frustrating one this afternoon to San Diego, which breaks their 9 game winning streak at home. Jon Niese v. Jon Garland is the matchup tonight in Game 2 of the DH. Johan Santana started today, and to be quite honest, was kind of terrible. Here's his line today: 6.2 IP, 8 hits, 4 runs, 4 BB, 1 K(on a failed sacrifice), 4 swinging strikes, 11:7 GB:FB on 108 pitches, 63-45 strikes-balls. He has struggled his last 2 starts(both against SD), in which he has used his 2-seam fastball more than usual(43/108 times today & 24/123 his last start compared to 15/105 in his 8-inning gem against YoGa & Milwaukee). Despite his good ERA, his K/9 has dipped below 7 & his BB/9 has ticked upwards a bit. Here's an article I read this week about Johan's declining strikeout rate. One thing that should be noted is that the strikezone was awful, as shown here. After Johan got pulled, Feliciano, super 8th inning man Mejia, & Nieve finished it up. The offense was pathetic as the last 22 batters were retired after Heenry Blanco's 2nd inning home run. One Mat Latos settled in(6 IP, 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 BB, 8 Ks, 7 swinging strikes, 2:6 GB:FB on 99 pitches, 67-32) & the Padre bullpen entered, the game was practically over.

This is so f******* retarded that it's even a story. I swear, I think ESPN is just pissed the f*** off that they can't start their own ESPNPhilly site, so they're just making s*** up. (I know, this isn't an ESPN article, but they were the first place I saw it mentioned) I guarantee this has happened at EVERY F******* TEAM'S GAMES AT SOME POINT SOME WHERE IN EVERY GODDAMN SPORT! It's not a Philly thing. It's a stupid way for stupid people to try to make fun of Philly fans. What's next? "Philly fans don't wash their hands after using the bathroom!" "Philly fans throw the ball back onto the field!"

"Philly fans throw the ball back onto the field!" I know first hand that there is a infamous group that is known for getting drunk before Redskins games. They talked about them on Real Sports and they are called the Dead Tree Crew so having drunken fans is not just only in Phily. Although with two situations a few days apart from each other where a drunken fan entered the field did happen in Philadelphia and both were Phillies fan. You might wanna take care of that.

Oh yeah and if you read the story.....it is meant to be taken as a joke. I know this particular one was. But the fact that ESPN ran an article about the original story is ridiculous. I never got a chance to comment. I actually like how most fans think this is completely retarded and are making fun of the whole thing.
