Aw nothing about the last guardian?
I've never been able to fully embrace ocarina of time so I'm glad there may be a proper remake that fixes it's issues so I can feel like a proper gamer. I just hope that they carry on making 2D style Zelda games.
It looks like it's becoming a new trend that one of the big three companies have an E3 presentation much worse than the others.

Nintendo really surprised me this year. In 15 years, this has easily been the best showing they've ever had. The big shocker for me is that for the first time in my life, I'm actually considering buying a handheld. Between Kid Icarus, Pilotwings and the OoT remake, that thing just looks kickass.
I will say though, that I kinda wish Pilotwings was on the Wii. It's always seemed like a natural fit for that system.

I can't post it here, but somebody did a photoshop .gif file update to the one where the girl is petting the tiger. The tiger is replaced by Shawn Michaels's infamous "sucking the imaginary you-know-what" on RAW.

Here's how bad MS went this year, you could basically cherry pick the general consensus good parts of their presser. The most agreed highlights of their press are:
- Metal Gear Solid: Rising's gameplay - ESPN on 360 - Kinect's multimedia functions/controls
And then some people liked the Call of Duty and Halo trailers and the Gears 3 gameplay, and some people hated them.
However, for Sony and Nintendo, you could make multiple lists of just 3 main highlights from their pressers today, cause they had a lot.
So....let's see if we can nail down the 3 biggest announcements this event. I personally think the three biggest announcements this event, in no specific order are:
- ESPN on 360 - Kid Icarus leading the 3DS launch lineup - Portal 2 on PS3
I would have to say Portal 2 on PS3 is the biggest bomb dropped this year, and would put it on the same level as Final Fantasy XIII going to the 360.

Mario Kart and Kid Icarus as launch titles, Pilotwings, OoT already announced, this is easily the must have item coming out this year

The thing is, everything he says is essentially right. These are questionable times to be a gamer. I haven't felt this shaky about the industry and its future since Sega collapsed as a hardware manufacturer. I'm not saying we're staring down the barrel of another '83 crash or anything, but there are lots of question marks dotting the future and can I foresee a scenario where the industry collapses under the weight of endless sequels, casual crap, and overall diminishing returns? Yeah. I kinda can.

Yeah. I kinda can. I'm not worried. Why? Cause if the gaming industry is doomed, so is every other entertainment industry, cause they are all losing money compared to previous years. It is cause we are in a recession. Gaming isn't going to die. Not when we still have games breaking the first 24 hour sales record for a piece of entertainment(current holder is Modern Warfare 2, and Activision looks like they are hoping Black Ops will break that record this year). Though, he is right that we are use to getting a new system around this time. Instead MS and Sony are giving us motion controllers to extend the life of their consoles at least 3 years, and Nintendo is giving us a new handheld that they are putting most of their focus into.

It means none of the bundles have the Sub Controller, so you'll have to pay an additional $30, so all the bundles gain an additional $30 slapped on if you want the Sub Controller.

Anyone planning on watching the Kinect Conference...even if it's just to watch people jump around?

Kinect has a very real chance of not getting a pack in game.

So word on the twitter stream is that the XBLA version of Crazy taxi doesn't have the offspring in it.
That immediately makes me not want to buy it.

Kinect has a very real chance of not getting a pack in game. Stop being such a fanboy. You will literally justify anything Sony does by drawing some irrational conclusion to whatever Microsoft is doing. The two are no better than each other, and I highly doubt you'd take a bet on whether or not Kinect ships with a game.
