i met the iron shiek once walking around with some shady looking armenian/iranian/palestinian dudes in the mall here in buffalo, this is before he wanted to make dudes "humbail". Saw the macho man, he was ok, sabu fell on my brother at an ECW event but i dotn know if that counts. Arn Andrerson, seemed nice when we said hey arn as he was drying around downtown buffalo(waved to us)

Sal Bellomo--in the Allentown/B/E Airport
Curt Hennig--Philly Airport, i was coming back from a 19 hr trip from Hong Kong, it was 5:30 AM on a Sunday morning. He was walking toward me. The place was empty. I said his name and he said "hey." I asked if i could walk and talk with him (i had to walk back from where i came, but who cared!). He had wrestled in the Bingo Hall the night before he said, and called it a sh*thole. He still had the championship belt for the indy fed he was in with him. He said it was a pain--too heavy. We came across Crowbar, and Curt took his leave to talk with him. I thanked him. He was really nice to a jobroni like me.

I got to meet a bunch of wrestlers at the WM XI Fan Fest. My autograph book includes the signatures of Lex Luger, British Bulldog, Adam Bomb, Ted DiBiase, Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly, and many others. I also saw Jim Ross in the hotel lobby.
For my 12th birthday, we got tickets to SummerSlam '95 and a room at the nearby hotel. This happened to be the same one the wrestlers were staying at, and my dad and I talked to Shawn Michaels. Shawn was really nice: he wished me a happy b-day and gave me an autograph.
2001: I met Kurt Angle at a book signing in Pittsburgh. Kurt was really cool with everyone, talking to each person as he signed and even personalizing the autograph. Despite the posted rules, he signed anything people gave him--some folks brought milk cartons. When it was my turn, he told me he liked the shirt I was wearing. (It was a shirt from the '96 Olympics.)

Al Snow can be spotted around here in the bars from time to time. I've never approached though as I figure he's just out trying to enjoy himself.

I won't count the wrestlers I have worked same shows with just ones I met outside of that.
Roddy Piper - met him twice and without a doubt the GREATEST person I have ever met in wrestling or movies or music (next to Joey Ramone) anywhere. Roddy was just the best and he took time to answer questions and mess around and was a total class act and I was weary since he is my all time favorite. I was that way cause I didn't want him to be a prick and ruin it but I didn't have to worry for long. Just a class act and a joy to meet. I actually met him moments after he found out he was going to be a grandfather! Awesome guy the two times I met him.
Mr. Perfect - he was doing a signing around the time he started to manage Ric Flair, he shook everyones hand no matter how creepy they were and he was a great guy. He asked how I was doing and we made small talk and then I told him that it has to be great to have one of the greatest wrestlers of all time giving advice and such, he then told me that "yeah Flair is great to talk with" then I told him no I meant him. The look on his face was priceless and he was touched.
Brutus Beefcake - some car show and he was an idiot. He didn't do nothing wrong he just looked like an idiot.
Capt. Lou - same car show, nice guy but kept on saying how much of a prick Dynamite Kid was when he signed a pic I had of him with the Bulldogs.
Bobby Heenan- Awesome, great, funny. Right up there with Piper
Sunny and Candito- Chris was a great guy and Sunny was very nice. Great people.
Raven - I think he hit on me!! Am not sure but he did say my jeans looked very cool on me!

I also met Harley Race at a WLW show. He was really nice and even let me and a few friends get in the ring after the show and run around it abit.

after a Raw at mohegan sun on my birthday
Jericho-was a dick. the only fans around him were me, my friend and her little brother. he practically ran away from us. i had my hand on his arm, and he finally acknowledged i was there and told me congratulations on my birthday and was just generally rude.
the heartthrobs- romeo i met first, who was really nice, seemed confused that i didn't want an autograph or picture (i didn't have a camera or a pen/paper) but was nice nonetheless. ran into antonio later who started joking around with me and my friend who was wearing a hurricane shirt that he didn't like. really nice guys.
some of the diva search contestants, who i couldn't have cared less about.
john cena-really nice, huge crowd following him, security trying to get everyone away but he told them to back off saying that he wanted to cater to his fans. i was shocked at how big he is.
batista-funny guy. everyone was by his limo. this girl yelled out at him if she could get a hug and he was like 'sweetie, i can't touch you, you're not legal' and i managed to get in front of everyone by his trunk. he told his driver to pay for something for the hot girls in the car behind him (i didn't turn around to see who it was) and then i asked for a hug and said it was my birthday and he asked how old i was, i told him 19 (this was last year) and he laughed and said 'oh i can touch you, you're legal'. he amused me. he didn't seem nearly as big in person as i thought he would.
there might have been someone else at that show, but i don't remember.
then after a smackdown at mohegan sun later that year.
sgt. slaughter-took a picture with him. i'm not sure if he even knew i was next to him. seemed like a nice guy though.
the blonde guy that used to be teddy longs assistant? didn't know who he was.
brian kendrick-ran into him coming out of the bathroom. took pictures with us, was a wicked nice guy, joking around with us.
paul london-funniest guy. took pictures with us and starting telling random stories. one somehow involving throwing someone in a sleeping bag into a tree? i was surprised how short they both were.
i think i'm forgetting some.
i got to touch hbk after the Raw after summerslam. i was really happy (markdom). i still need to meet him though.
i'm a dumbass and could have met mick foley. he came to my town bookstore to promote one of his books, but i suck at didn't get a ticket to go.
hulk hogan came too, but i can't stand him.

I directed Goldberg in a Nickelodeon spot that never aired. (Gee...I must be good). Of all the celebs I met that day he was by far the most professional--and the best cold reader.

Honestly it just sounds like you caught him at a bad time rather than him being a dick. Also, you do sound like you were a bit over eager...
Nothing against you, I just hate it when people judge wrestlers based on a two minute meeting... maybe if you met him again and he was an ass, you'd be right but I think you're being a bit harsh here.

I think I jinxed Matt Hardy I met V1 at a Toys R Us signing here in lovely LaCrosse WI. He was doing these things while he recooped and was supposed to make his return in a couple months he told me. I told him that I really digged the whole Mattitude thing and hoped he got a big push when he returned. He thanked me and told me that he did as well and thought I'd like what was in store for his return. About that time Amy Dumas and Adam Copeland did the whole "Hey you've got your **** in my *****! Hey you've got your ***** on my ****! Two great tastes that **** great together!". I got an autographed picture of Matt. His girlfriend became a sleezy skank and he got fired. Coincidence? I think so.

If you have one bad experience with a wrestler, maybe you should give them the benefit of the doubt rather than lambasting them all over the net ( unless they did something really bad like spit in your face or tell your five year old brother to luv off ) If they're like that when you meet them again, then yeah, maybe they aren't that nice a person. I don't judge regular people I meet by one meeting, I don't see why wrestlers are any different ( and bear in mind they get hounded by fans constantly) They have good and bad days like everyone else.

Actually, even though it never happened and I like Orton I want that as my sig now.

Just two Wrestlers, but both Stories were special
Test - He remembered me form his Message Board.Talked to him for literally HOURS,He gave me his Home and MSN Adress and we made a deal that I would send him a Videotape of his Matches, which I collect.
Brock Lesnar and Sable - They ate in the chinese restaurant I was working at, during the 03 Smackdown Germany Tour. NOBODY in the Restaurant recognized him. They didn't sit at one of my Tables but I insisted to be the one to bring them the cheque. I said it was an honor to have them both as guests in our restaurant and they don't have to pay. Brock yelled at me if I don't know that he's a WWE Superstar and he earns enough money to pay his damn bill. Then he put some money on the table (no extra money) and rushed off, with Sable looking kinda embarrassed.
Weird, but I guess everyone can have a bad day, I'm not judging

I've also met Chase Stevens, and see him wrestle locally almost every Saturday. He's very social and talkative to fans after the shows considering only a handful of people come each week.

I went to a convention where I got my picture taken with Jim Cornette, and had a weird 5 second encounter with New Jack. I was looking at some wrestling figures on a table, and New Jack walks up to where I am with this Irish looking white girl (who I'm assuming is not gonna end up being his soulmate). He takes a look at a Mabel action figure and says "Look at this fat ni..., can you believe that s...?" LMAO Anyway, in response to this thread, I've met the Honky Tonk Man, and wished him good luck in his HWF world title match circa 1998.
