Welcome to Wrestlecrap Idol Season 4:
It's like the other WC Idol Games, with a few additions or changes. More details to come!
Season 1: officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=forumgames&action=display&thread=253133
Season 2: officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=forumgames&action=display&thread=290512
Season 3: officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=forumgames&action=display&thread=293369
For now, we are in the Pre-Game Sign-up Stage. If you would like to enroll as a participant in this game, please sign up here, in this thread below.
I have not yet chosen any judges, but if you want to participate in this game in any way or form, again please sign up here. The judges will be chosen from the Pool of Players who Enroll.
Hopefully we can get many participants this time around. I have no cut off points on how many are needed, yet. I'll decide on the ideal number, based on the interest level. That is plus or minus the amount of judges there will be. Which is likely 3-4.
Come on now let's get this thing started as soon as we can. Sign up, Enroll, Sign up, Enroll! Let's make this the best one yet!
We can't have a game, if we don't have too many players for anyone to judge! ;D

THE X FACTOR - WC IDOL IV RULES
The Rules/Format of this season will be similar to those of the previous seasons, with the addition of X Factor like setups. *Changes.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_X_Factor_%28UK%29
{Spoiler}1. There are 19 Contestants in this game. Every Round will feature a "Theme" in which each contestant will message ME, a song choice which fits the theme. When you send me your song choice, please give the artist, the title of the song, and a link to the song, so we can judge it. Please no linking to websites where the songs can be downloaded, as per forum rules. I am a moderator after all. Youtube is a good site for this.
2. In return I will send each of the judges the song list, in anonymous fashion, so the judges will not know who sent what song. The judges will then rank each song, from 1 being the highest, and 18 being the lowest. After every elimination this number will get smaller.
3. I liked Season 3's scoring system so much, that the point scoring will work similarly to last time. With every elimination some of the duplicates will be removed.
Rank 1 being worth 15 points
Rank 2 being worth 14 points
Rank 3 being worth 13 points
Rank 4 being worth 12 points
Rank 5 being worth 11 points
Rank 6 being worth 10 points
Rank 7 being worth 9 points
Rank 8 being worth 8 points
Rank 9 being worth 7 points
Rank 10 being worth 6 points
Rank 11 being worth 5 points
Rank 12 being worth 4 points
Rank 13 being worth 3 points
Rank 14 being worth 3 points
Rank 15 being worth 2 points
Rank 16 being worth 2 points
Rank 17 being worth 1 point
Rank 18 being worth 1 point
Rank 19 being worth 0 points
4. The total points from each judge will then be summed up together, and the score will then be revealed on "The Results Show" Where someone usually gets eliminated. The scores will be carried along for a couple rounds, until the top 12, where only scores from the previous round will be kept. The first two rounds will be non-elimination. After the third round, our first two eliminations will take place.
*Judges will post their song analysis/comments after the results for some feedback for you all.
5. Round 1 will be "Auditions". Round 2 will be the "Boot Camp" and "Visits to the Judges House" Which will decide who your X Factor "Mentor" will be. Round three begins the "Live Show."
6. To give another dimension of the game for the judges, instead of just ranking songs every season, they are also now your "mentors." The players will be divided by 4 between the 4 judges, 2 judges will have an extra 'student'.
7. The Mentors will compete with each other in a way, to see if they can get their contestants as a whole to go as far as possible. The way this works, is that the Mentors will send me a "Hint" on what kind of song choices they are expecting with each round. In return I will send these hints to each of their contestants to help them score well with their mentors. Keep in mind, the other 3 judges are also scoring your song choices. So don't always pick exclusively for your mentors.
8. Some Rounds will have a 'Guest Judge" outside of the regular 4. Keep an eye on your PM boxes should you be eliminated.
9. Once the Top 12 begins there will be a "Judges Save" that the judges can use, to keep one contestant from being eliminated, after I announce who is the elimination for the round. This can be used once all the way to the end of the top 5 round.
10. Aside from that singular BIG judges save; As with the real life "X Factor" show. I will announce the bottom 2 without revealing their scores. The judges will then vote on which contestant of the two they wish to keep. This is where the mentoring may make things interesting. If the judges fail to reach a decision, in the event of a tie, the game goes into "Deadlock." This is where the contestant with the bottom most score is eliminated. This happens from top 12 - top 6. After that the contestant with the lowest score is automatically eliminated.
Don't worry the rest of the contestants will get a head start with the following theme to send in their songs, so there will be no wait.
11. I will be sending some reminders from time to time, but it is your responsibility as a player, to check this thread for any updates.
This basic pattern will continue until we decide on the 4th WC Idol. And which of you has THE X FACTOR!

When choosing and sending me your song choices:
{Spoiler}1. Except for any 'second chance' round, artists selected in previous rounds of this (Season IV/X Factor) competition may NOT be selected by ANY competitor in ANY future rounds. (If someone selects a Hannah Montana song in Round 2, all of her songs are off limits for everyone for the rest of the competition.)
2. If two competitors select different songs by the same artist in the same round, both songs will be allowed. If the same song is selected more than once in the same round, the first person who submitted their choice will be allowed to keep that choice. All others who made that choice will be notified and asked to change their choice.
I will also let you know if someone else has chosen the same artist as you, just in case you want to change your pick.
3. If any contestant fails to submit their choice before the deadline, they will automatically receive last place points for the round. If they fail to submit twice in a row, they are automatically eliminated.
4. There will be a list of songs used from every WC Idol season so far posted momentarily. Since this is a different show, being that it's "The X Factor" the songs are free to be used by everyone. HOWEVER know that the judges will be scoring these songs by how they wish to score these songs. Whether the songs fit the theme, makes them "mark out", if the song is just plain good, or on its originality. So watch out, some of the judges might score your song choice quite low because of it.
I will PM you a message letting you know, if your choice was used in a past game.
