It's the Moment you've all been waiting for!
The X Factor Finale FINAL Results! We are LIVE!First I'd like to thank everyone who did, for participating! Without you, there would be NO X Factor Competition.
So we have our Final two.
THE BALDY KENDRICK &
SQUARE!
You've both done really well to make it all the way. Square, to the Finale on his first run, and TBK Returning to the Finale, from Season 1. After tonight one of you will join great competitors of the past, like Stryker, Ssnakebite and THE Baldy Kendrick, and come up just short of a victory. The other will join Widow's Peak, Pegasus Warrior, and Sudden Rush as winners, proving that you definitely have
THE X FACTOR.According to the
PUBLIC POLL VOTE: The person who's song list was preferred over the other, in a 7-4 Vote That's actually pretty close, was....
{Spoiler}SQUARE! So Square has 1+ point to his name here.
*Note For the Public Judging there were only 2 voters, so to make a majority, I dropped out as an official judge and joined the Public.
Here we go with the song results:
Round #1...The Baldy Kendrick You Chose: Outkast - "B.O.B."
Widow's Peak Said: High energy, bombastic hip-hop.
Pegasus Warrior Said: Simply put: I love this! Perfect energy, perfect layering, and it hits on ALL cylinders!
PKSandman Said: You picked THE right song here. This is without a doubt my favorite OutKast song out there.
Demented Said: The beat pretty much sunk its hooks into me and wouldn’t let me go. Hmm, kinky.
Stryker Cowell Said: Outkast have some great songs, but that was a bit of a dirge of clashing noises.
Square, You Chose: U2 - "With or Without You"
Widow's Peak Said: U2’s greatest love song.
Pegasus Warrior Said: Terrific song, there’s no question about it. A wonderful song to remix and perform live as well.
PKSandman Said: If this were another of the picks, you probably would have won.
Demented Said: Lovely song…I bet my mom would love it. I like it. Good choice.
Stryker Cowell Said: One of my favourite ever songs, absolutely adore it.
Round #2...Square, You Chose: Ellie Goulding - "Your Song"
Widow's Peak Said: Ellie Goulding has a very lovely and intriguing take on an Elton John classic.
Pegasus Warrior Said: If you used the Moulin Rouge version of this song, I think I’d probably come close to declaring this whole competition in your favor and just drop the rest of the competition.
PKSandman Said: A haunting rendition of the original by Elton John. It doesn't feel overproduced or overdone. Brilliant.
Demented Said: You people really like the mushy songs, don’t ya? Well, I am a sucker for songs with the piano, so it does get me there.
Stryker Cowell Said: Functional and pleasent version of a tidy song.
The Baldy Kendrick You Chose: D.D. Sound - "Cafe"
Widow's Peak Said: “Café” was a very cool and funky track. If there is such a genre as world disco, this song epitomizes it.
Pegasus Warrior Said: From the opening measure, YES YES YES! Pretty darn hot for a disco-esque number.
PKSandman Said: Very funky, and a plus that this was a Japanese song sung in English.
Demented Said: Okay…. Disco…. Don’t mind me while I boogie.
Stryker Cowell Said: It sounded like a musical revue at the end of a 70s 'The [insert light entertainer's name] Show'.
Round #3...Square, You Chose:
Citizen Kane - "Soldier Story"
Widow's Peak Said: “Soldier Story” was a track that really grew on me, with a unique sample and powerful lyrics. I like the risk you took choosing this.
Pegasus Warrior Said: Great atmosphere in this song and such precision in the delivery!
PKSandman Said: Also very calm sounding, which is a plus. Very smooth, very good.
Demented Said: I’m sure to a fan of rap music this would be a wonderful pick.
Stryker Cowell Said: Not nearly as impactful as it should have been given the subject matter.
The Baldy Kendrick You Chose: Audioslave - "Cochise"
Widow's Peak Said: As mainstream rock goes, “Cochise” is a pretty enjoyable song. It isn’t a groundbreaking track, but the stellar guitar work and the intense vocals set it apart.
Pegasus Warrior Said: This really urges me to quit judging for a bit and just break out more Audioslave tunes for an hour or so. All I can think of is how hard I would’ve marked for creativity if you used this as your “What’s in a Name?” round selection.
PKSandman Said: Reminds me of the old '70s Rock sound while staying squarely in the 21st Century. Also very calm for a rock song, which I like.
Demented Said: Well, well, well, what do we have here? Yep, you found something that I really, really like. Congratulations! I was hooked when I heard the intro and it delivered the goods.
Stryker Cowell Said: Great, great song. Really punchy and just build and builds. Designed to be played at absolute top volume. Very good pick.
Round #4...Square, You Chose: Big Youth - "Train To Rhodesia"
Widow's Peak Said: I give it the edge based on musicality.
Pegasus Warrior Said: I like it well enough. It’s not a genre that captivates me like some, but it is an easy song to listen to.
PKSandman Said: A smooth song with a powerful message.
Demented Said: I really had only one choice here. I think I might have channeled my inner Stryker on that one. *points at Stryker* He’s the crazy one.
Stryker Cowell Said: Too light for my reggae tastes
The Baldy Kendrick You Chose: Jon Lajoie - "Pop Song"
Widow's Peak Said: “Pop Song” is a mildly amusing Boy Band parody, but I think this theme has been tackled before with better results.
Pegasus Warrior Said: It’s no “Title of the Song.” (See Season 2.)
PKSandman Said: A good satire on the late '90s pop scene, though that's all it has going for it.
Demented Said: A song making fun of boy bands! I do admit, the guy does have a voice.
Stryker Cowell Said: Sounded like every person sitting at a computer complaining about manufactured music.
Round #5...The Baldy Kendrick You Chose: Night Rider - "Fun Time Deh Yah"
Widow's Peak Said: "Fun Time Deh Yah" was rather repetitive and grating after a while.
Pegasus Warrior Said: The better of the two reggae songs of the round. This contestant would have definitely benefited from a head-to-head with the other reggae choice.
PKSandman Said: Great... I'm getting reminded of Fensler Films' GI Joe PSA's. That distracts me from the song itself. It's a good song otherwise.
Demented Said: Decent. Yep, that’s it. Decent
Stryker Cowell Said: It takes a lot for me not to enjoy that kind of sound.
Square, You Chose: The Band Perry - "If I Die Young"
Widow's Peak Said: “If I Die Young” might be a little trite and sappy, but I liked the traditional roots music mixed with country pop.
Pegasus Warrior Said: A terrific example of “less is more.” I’ll be listening to this more than once tonight.
PKSandman Said: Very calm, but a touch morbid. I don't like thinking about death this young... but I've got to suck it up. Very calm and with a more powerful message.
Demented Said: Is that, by gawd, country music? You’ve made me one happy psychopath. Beautiful song. Love it!
Stryker Cowell Said: Terrible lyrics, but it's well sung and has a pleasent sound, just staying the right side of cheesy.
