im a romantic type as well, a few years ago i was dating this woman and i was super into the romance, i would take her out to eat at nice resturaunts....and then one day we went to go see bobcat goldthwait....in which after the show she tells me that she has to break up with me and i ask her why and she said "his routine deeply offended me and i cant possibly be with somebody who supports THAT kind of comedy" .....sooo the lesson learned....Bobcat Goldthwait = relationship killer Wow. What the hell kind of routine does that guy have for her to do that? Was he standing up there sacrificing children to a dark god or something?

You just brought a tear of joy to my eye. Things like these are reasons why I'm so hesitant to get into relationships that I'm not mostly sure will at least pan out decently, even if they don't last forever. There are TONS of perks to being single, as long as one can get over the "stigma" of singleness or not spend time obsessing over having to be in a relationship. Honestly, it's far, far, FAR better to not be in a relationship than it is to just take whatever comes your way. So many people are obsessed with not being alone that, like you said, they'll just not break up due to "inconvenience", and we often wonder why the divorce rate in the US is at 50%, right? I just love loving and being loved back. And being cuddled. So to me all the downfalls of trying to find someone is worth it. You could always use your pillow but seriously in spite of my mini-rant I do enjoy the things you mentioned, the problem is people for the most part tend to get into relationships were these things don't exist. I'm going out tonight with someone I've known for quite a while, I know we enjoy each others company but we'll just see how it goes. I'm not going to force the issue.

Singles: WE'RE COMING OUT OUR SHELLS Tour For the love of all that's good and holy, NO. I don't ever want to be reminded of anything related to the TMNT Coming Out of their Shells Tour, at least in this thread.

is it that big of a deal? No, I was just wondering. And yeah, thanks to the mere mention of the Coming Out Of Their Shells Tour, I now have "You Can Count On Us" stuck in my head... I'd rather have a pitchfork in my brain.

Was he standing up there sacrificing children to a dark god or something? he did a routine about advertisers using...lets just say "John Christ" and he made up different ads for him...including a beer commercial. Jennifer didnt find this funny at all, nor did she find anything else he did funny either....and thus the end of the relationship.

I think us single people will have a grand ole time when we're thirty! Especially when we start to see all our married friends get divorces!
HA HA! THAT'LL TEACH YOU TO NOT BE AFRAID TO DIE ALONE!
