Kanye If he ever writes a song without sampling, I will change my stance. So, he's the least talented RAPPER because his BEATS contain samples? If you don't like samples you must dislike roughly 90% of rap anyhow to answer the question, the answer here is Silk The Shocker Language Warning Dude is almost NEVER on beat. If his brother didn't own a record label we would have never heard from him

I'm gonna have to say DMX. At least Souljah Boy had one catchy song. I can't remember one blasted DMX song to save my life. DMX had one of the catchiest songs ever in hip hop/rap music in the Ruff Ryders anthem. I don't know one person my age that doesn't know that hook, hip hop fan or not.

least talented? DMX, Lil Wayne? are you serious?? they got plenty of bangers and some serious CLASSIC albums under their belt (DMX's 1st two, Weezy's Carter 1 & 2)
Silkk WAS off-beat most of the time alright, but he still got 2 really really good gangsta rap albums (Charge It 2 Da Game and his underrated debut The Shocker), he had better verses on the other Soldiers' albums
anyway, my answer is Gucci Mane (if you wanna call him mainstream now) or Vanilla Ice (obviously)

Gonna go with Ja Rule just because when I was at college (from 2001 to 2004) EVERYBODY listened to Ja Rule (well every chav/poser/tool whatever). I was in my heavy metal phase at this point but even I knew what good rap music was.

Whoever said Kanye, Lil' Wayne or DMX kill yo self! Real Talk..
Can't hate on Ja Rule tho. He had tha game on lock from 1999-2002
Soulja Boy is for the clubs. Like 2 Live Crew. Like MC Hammer. If you ever went to a club and "She gotta Donk" starts playing you would appreciate Soulja Boy and what he does. Get's girls on the dance floor.
Even tho I like him and He is one of my favorite artist out right now, I'm goin with Gucci Mane. He aint the best rapper but he know how to make a damn good song.

Gucci Mane is forever in my good graces just for "Icy." I listen to that to this very day. One of the catchiest songs I've ever heard.
And Silkk gave us MVP's theme song. Gets a pass just for that.

Kanye If he ever writes a song without sampling, I will change my stance. Just off the top of my head: "Get Em High", "New Workout Plan", "Big Brother", "Barry Bonds", "Homecoming", all of 808s and Heartbreak. CHANGE IT.
