At last night's houseshow in El Paso, the main event was Sheamus and The Big Show vs. John Cena and Mark Henry. During the match, Sheamus went outside and went over to a six year old kid, who was holding up a Cena sign. Sheamus ripped it up and the kid starting bawling. Sheamus went over to one of the security guards and told him to tell the child to do the "You can't see me" thing at Sheamus. Sheamus also told Cena to give the kid one of his armbands.

Really nice thing for Sheamus to do. Anyone else would have probably left it to keep the heel heat. I actually like him even more after this.

That was nice of him.
This is why so many people like house shows.
Had this happened on RAW the kid would have been left crying.

It would have been awesome if he had laid down for the kid and let him pin him, winning the match for Cena's team.

Ugh, he's a heel, why is he feeling bad about it? If Sheamus cured leukemia tomorrow, someone would complain he's too new to the field of cancer research and hasn't paid his dues yet.

Ugh, he's a heel, why is he feeling bad about it? Because he's also a human being, and it's a house show.

Ugh, he's a heel, why is he feeling bad about it? Because unlike you, he's a human being with feelings.

Dr. HHH would squash him by finding a cure for every type of cancer. Then everyone would complain that Trips could only cure cancer because he sleeps with the chief of medicine's daughter.

It's a shame to say I made ya sad. Don't be so upset, I'm not that bad! You can treat this arm band like it's some kind of prize. Please do not cry! Please do not cry!

Ugh, he's a heel, why is he feeling bad about it? I understand your point. The simple answer is that house shows tend to be more for fun. The roster will mess around quite a bit and do things they wouldn't do on tv. A great example is Owen Hart in a tag match. He was in either a boston crab or a sharpshooter and was acting like he was smoking a cigarette. Everyone in the match was trying not to laugh. He screwed around the whole the time in the match and everyone involved enjoyed it.

Reminded of that thing that is said to have happened at one house show where Edge teamed with Umaga in the main-event and came out with his face painted and with Canada on his stomach. And, for that matter, of the one time I went to a house show, also involving Edge - main event was Edge and MVP against Undertaker and Kane. Like the first ten minutes of the match consisted of Edge and MVP arguing, running all over the place, repeatedly tagging each other in and out - it was great. Then it got weird when Taker was the one who played face in peril.

Not necessarily, if it was the main event they would have done something after the show went off the air. Or Sheamus would have went to the back, and told someone about it and would have done something. It wouldn't have made television, but Sheamus probably would have done something for the kid. Massive props to Sheamus for that.

I did think it was cool though when The Godwins brought some kids from the crowd into the ring and had a hodown. My mom speculated they were the kids of the pig farmers. I bought that. Now I understand how house shows work.
