If it's true, shrewd thinking from Sheamus. Someone without his experience but his same real-life personality would have broken character.

I think it might also be lack of experience, because most heels probably would enjoy having the kid cry, like Jericho or someone. But hey, it's not like Sheamus in character felt bad, he was just getting security and Cena to do a few things, so he not only wanted the fan to feel better, but to have the fan continue to hate him. Man, I wish I could go to more house shows. House shows are always better then tv. To be honest I think it showed experience beyond his years in the company. He did a heelish thing, and it backfired sort of. He got some great heat out of the kid but that particular kid now needs comeuppance from what Sheamus did to him. Sheamus knows that if the kid doesn't get it, the WWE isn't the place where the good guys ultimately get the revenge, it's just full of meanies to that kid. So he organises ways for the kid to get some gratification without himself breaking character. It could have dampened the entertainment value for the rest of the crowd should Sheamus have started acting compassionately, so to do this shows he has a good mind. It's probably the kind of thing he has shown that makes the higher ups think he will be a good investment.

Articles like this convince me that Sheamus is really more of a natural face than heel, and his character should be rewritten to reflect it.

I remember at my first house show in 1992, LOD got a couple of kids out of the audience after their match with the Beverley Bros. and walked around the ring with the kids riding on their shoulders. I thought that was cool of them to do. Jesse and Festus did that at a house show I went to a couple of years ago At a house show in 04, it was Ric Flair (heel) vs Edge (face).. however everyone was Wooing and cheering for Flair and booing Edge. So they switched roles, Edge just got the mic and said "I'll give you something to smile about with your shiny yellow teeth! Ya British B*stards!"

And they say gingers have no souls. They don't This development both confuses and concerns me If gingers start having souls, what next? Cats & Dogs marrying? Well if they can't then how the hell did this happen?

Wow, people are actually complaining about this? First off, it's a houseshow. Randy Orton was hugging Triple H at a recent houseshow. He wanted the kid to boo him and it backfired. Sheamus regretted it and made it up to him. Anyone else probably wouldn't care once they get their paycheck.

I'm actually reminded of a similar thing that happened at an indy show
A heel went to grab one of those foam fingers a kid had but instead tore the finger off, he acted all OTT innocent but after I stopped laughing at the kids face (Cause I'm going to hell anyway) I saw him speak to a security guard who got the kid replacement and their money back anyway so it all worked out but it was nice to see.........It was also really hilarious, I have to point that out lol
Seriously lol

Sorry, does PWTorch know what Sheamus said to Cena while they were in the ring together? Unless I've missed something and PWTorch is run by Lil' Naitch.
Sheamus makes a kid cry, so Cena makes it up to him by giving him an armband.
Sounds like something any face with half a brain would do.

Reading this really makes me think very highly of him.
For all the crap he gets for his meteoric push, he seems to be genuinely appreciative of his spot.
