Former WWE and WCW World Hvt. champion Bill Goldberg says he's negotiating with WWE on a potential return to the company that he last worked for in 2004.
"YES.. I am in negotiations with the WWE. Looks like 'ole Hogan and TNA missed the boat. Shame for the fans they didn't even try," Goldberg said on his Twitter page tonight.
Goldberg left WWE after his infamous WrestleMania 20 match against Brock Lesnar and has ripped WWE in interviews since then.
Goldberg has been critical of politics in WWE and repeatedly said he had no interest in returning to WWE. He acknowledged that on Twitter tonight, while saying his mentality changed.
"Truth is I never thought I'd even consider it...then came my son," Goldberg said. "No one said I'd wrestle but the door is open again."

Wait... Didn't he say like, two weeks ago that he would never work with WWE because he didn't think they were truly PG and he didn't want to be on a program he wouldn't let his kid watch?

So if Goldberg and Edge were in the ring who would they be chanting spear for?

I for one, would mark for a Goldberg return. I was never a big fan of his in ring work, but DAMN if wasn't one of the biggest badasses I've ever seen in wrestling.

Was never a huge fan but at the same time, I'd love to have him back. Start dyin' the beard and come back, Bill.

If creative really gets behind him, it could be good... but I doubt it.
BTW, I really thought he'd come to TNA at some point in the coming months.

Mania 27. Streak vs. Previous Streak. Undertaker vs. Goldberg. Yes. Such a huge money-maker right there. And Taker could probably carry ol' whisker-biscuits to a pretty enjoyable match. Well. If Taker was in good shape. Speaking of which..Could this mean.. WM27 Taker Vs Goldberg (Goes to 19-0) WM28 Taker Vs Cena (Taker retired at 20?) Anyway. I hope he signs, Cause it sure would be exciting to see him infused with todays current crop of talent.

So wait, if this does happen, it's not to wrestle? The ever so reliable wikipedia says that it's a deal for his likeness and for the HoF next year.
But Goldberg does say the door is open for it...

To see him as a full time performer again? Eh, don't know if I'd like that too much.
To see him have a one-shot match at WrestleMania 27 against the Undertaker? HELL TO THE f***ING YES. ;D

You can't be first but you can be next!
If he can still relatively go, I'd love to see Goldberg/Batista (horrific match, but I'd still like to see it), Goldberg/Cena, Goldberg/HBK (Oh wait. His career is over Sunday), Goldberg/Taker at Mania, Goldberg/Jericho (for old times sake).
And most importantly, I'd love to not have to create him in every SvR game.

I still think it's a better chance of THAT happening than of him coming back to the 'E. Really, what's left for him in the WWE? I mean....are they gonna feed Punk to him? Miz? Morrisson? Kofi? The WWE has an up and coming younger roster that THEY still have half of an intention of doing something with. Other than the young guys....you've got possibly Orton, Edge, Jericho or Hunter (maybe Batista if he hangs around) for Goldberg to work with. Contrast that to TNA, who would only be too willing to put him back in the ring with familiar faces in Hogan and Flair and Sting....hell, it'd be just like being back in WCW for him again!

Ah, the WWE's youth movement coming to the fore once more...
Sorry, couldn't resist. The Hebrew Hammer probably has at last another good run in him, so it makes sense to get a few of those marquee matchups out of the way (i.e. with Taker).
