Michael Cole > Blandiel Bryan Seeing the the two guys in your Sig makes the irony all the better, as I find them to be as entertaining as watching grass grow. Irregardless, my complaint wasn't about Daniels getting called out, it's about Cole's terrible job as an announcer, if they had even teased the fact he was going to be a heel, or something to that extent I could maybe ignore this. And how do you think this comes off to the casual fan? I know you anti iwc folks are loving the hysteria(supposedly) this is causing, but the casual fan has never heard of him most likely so the impression there getting is, This new guy sure loses a lot, the announcers don't like him, why should i even watch this guy or care about him?

Agreed. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Marks and smarks are one and the same. They might have different reasons for liking who they like, but they still want them to win and get pissy when they don't. By extension, everyone who they don't like that wins is because it's a fake sport and management want to push him down our throats. If a guy they like wins it's suddenly a legit achievement that he's managed to overcome backstage politics. Danielson is the underdog face. Everything is against him and he's still going to pull it off through his natural talent and hard work. Micheal Cole, The Miz, him facing World Champions are all part of that. Cole is a heel, you're not supposed to like what he says. The idea is to make people like Bryan more. The reaction of people like Krimzon suggest it's working. Is it really working though if it is driving people away from the show? I like what they are trying to do, but its just done all wrong. Cole's job as an annoucer is to enhance a match/tell a story. His Bryan rants though really take the attention away from the match and onto himself which apperently makes people want to change the channel. Also I can't really get into Cole calling anyone a computer geek. Didnt he use to run WWE.com? he is kind of the physical embodiment of an internet loser. I think it would have been much better if Cole was replaced by a grizzled vet like JBL and he was the one ranting on the NXT rookies. Who's leaving the show? I've heard about 500 people in various threads talk about how they're thisclose to turning the show off for good. I have yet to hear one person who has actually done it. The key to booking an effective heel is making the fan oh so close to turning off the TV because they're so fed up with it, and then pulling the trigger at the exact right time on the babyface getting one up that it keeps you coming back. They're nearing that point with Bryan I will admit, but they're not there yet. Because everyone who is still in here bitching about it still knows exactly what he said. And they know what he said because they're still watching. And they're still watching because of the hope the Daniel Bryan turns it all around. You can certainly wait too long though. Triple H circa 2002-2003 comes to mind.
