Let's say they finally come out with a male version of the birth control pill or shot, would you be okay with taking it?
Would you take it if you were single? or only if your GF asked you to?
What if it had side effects, like weight gain or stroke in rare cases?
Would it be worth it? Personally, I'd probably take it because I hate condoms and god forbid I ever have a kid on accident, but figure with twice the amount of BC, the chances of that would be even more tiny than it is now with just the girl on stuff.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, a million times yes.
I'd take it without hesitation (after it was proved to be safe and reliable, of course). That way I can be sure that I'm in control of my reproductive capabilities, no one else. Condoms can break or have holes poked in them, and just reduce comfort in general. And I'm not trusting enough to completely take a woman's claim at face value that she's on the pill, so I have nothing to worry about.
Such a pill must happen, soon. And I'd be the first in line to get it.

No, because my left hand can't get pregnant, anyway.

Probably not. I would be worried of tarnishing the family jewels down the line.

Maybe, if it was within the confines of a committed relationship. But for one night stands? Hell no, because in that situation, pregnancy would honestly be the least of my worries. Pills can't prevent STDs, so I'm gonna go with no.

Yeah, I doubt it'd do anything for STDs. So for one night stands, condoms would still be must for that purpose.
But the pill would still be totally worth it for what it would mean in terms of reproductive control.

No, but then I wouldn't really term me as being sexually active. (their choice) If I were a slutbag, perhaps, but I'm lucky to get a warm smile in '10.

No because I don't take any type of pills what so ever. The only pills I take are perscription from the doctor. Other than that, I'm all natural when it comes to making myself healthier.

No, and why should we? They're the ones having the baby Your sperm cell, your baby. Period. It's as much yours as it is hers. And if you disagree, there are quite a few years of legal (let alone common law and religious) precedent on my side. If any individual chooses to have sexual intercourse while concurrently desiring not to conceive a child, it is his or her sole responsibility to take steps toward contraception. Men might choose a condom, or a vasectomy for more permanent means. Women have a birth control pill, the shot, female condoms, and other far more radical options. It's personal responsibility, ever and always. Lacking a commitment to personal responsibility, sex might not be a good idea.

When I was in a relationship, I suggested this to my boyfriend. His response was along the lines of "hell f***ing no". Bugs the s*** out of me.
Why should the woman be the only one in charge of that? Why should I have to pay the money and deal with the responsibility all on my own? Why should I be the one to go through annoying or potentially damaging side effects for somebody who isn't willing to do the same? Pregnancy takes two. Preventing it should take two, as well.

They would be on prescription from the doctor. No, and why should we? They're the ones having the baby This kind of attitude is exactly the reason why even when the male pill/injection become available women should still be on it themselves. Not wanting to stereotype, but there are a lot of guys out there with this mentality so the best thing a woman can do is take care of herself. Please note I did not say all guys
