If not, why not? Concerns over side effects, long term usage, something else?
I'm not fishing for a bite here. I didn't take hormonal contraception until a year ago when I was prescribed it to treat an ovarian condition. I didn't take it before because I had some concerns about long term effects on fertility. Are you guys thinking the same or something different?
If you weren't prepared to take male hormonal contraception, are you happy for your female partner to use it, or would you use condoms? (I'm talking about purely contraceptive use here, take the STD issue out of the equation)

I would prefer a pill to a vasectomy because not only am I a bit of wuss (it's not like pulling teeth which I can handle just the shot is bad) and also very easily grossed about surgery in general (fainted during dissections!), but because I already take prescribed pills and just another pill would be easier for me instead of stuff I would shudder to think about.

Yeah, for a little while at least until the novelty wore off and I started worrying about my health.

We already have birth control, it's called pulling out! ;D Coitus Interruptus (yes it has a real name) has been proven to be an extremely ineffective method.

It will never be invented, for the same reason the Common cold will never be cured. Stopping one egg every month is a lot easier than stopping billions of sperm all year long. Now, if you are one of these researchers, economically speaking, it would be more worth it to make female birth control safer, than invent male birth control. Curing the common cold would be a waste a time, because it is such a complicated disease with such mild effects.I mean, I'm a traditionalist when it comes to sexual morality, but if you were into that kind of thing, it's not like present methods lack anything. At somepoint, it becomes less about means and more about creating a third generation of idiots. Actually, the Japanese are close to coming out with a male BC already. It's not just the Japanese. I've known of R&D for this very thing coming from different drug companies as far back as 2007, as well as my brother getting a letter for a drug trial for it in 2008. As far as would I take it? If it was like the BC pill for women, in that you go back to normal operations after you stop taking it, then I probably would. The problem with doing it now is that you don't have documented long-term effects.
