Was it an unwritten law that you had to have a mullet, and be pale to work as a mid-90s WCW jobber?

WWE jobbers weren't exactly toned either around that time.

I acctuly somewhat prefer the WCW jobbers, once in awhile they got to face off against the other jobbers. So they all had a win or two.
In the WWF it was always the jobber vs. the champion like how did he get that title shot.

At least at that time it was a regular Jobber who we would see enough to hope they could put up a fight. Now its just some guy and they say "He is from right here in.... " making the fans in attendance mark and making me turn the channel to avoid the obvious blood bath that is to follow.

WCW jobbers looked that way because Sid Vicious kept them locked up in a cage in his basement. He only let them out when it was powerbombing time.

HAHA, yes the Gambler was my favorite jobber too. I remember him getting a win or two, against lesser jobbers on WCW Worldwide.

i liked the wcw theory for jobbers...have established guys who would be somewhat over but they would teach and help carry young guys and if the young guys werent ready they'd make the kid job.
then you had young guys who got 1 min a match to show what they got to slowly get them over and if they were good get them a push when ready (see: Kidman)
and then you had guys like the gambler who were total jobbers and knew it...and well had respect for it
Btw my fave jobber was billy payne with the wild as hell hairdo!

If you're being serious, that's not true at all. And in most undefeated streaks, they start out with jobbers anyways, so I don't know why it's a big surprise to some people.

The WWE should put out a Jobbers of WCW video game. I'd buy it.

You want jobber, look no further than "Jumpin" Joey Maggs. I remember watching him lose one of those Underdog Challenges on Saturday night.
