IT was good in theory. but it really didn't get of the ground because it had people anyone barely knew or that they all ready knew so it wasn't a big deal

It looks like it was supposed to be the WWF's answer to the NWO.
... and a lame one at that. Hall and Nash invade WCW... but the 89-year-old Rock 'n' Roll Express invade WWF!

It continued quite a while longer because Cornette formed the New Midnight Express with Holly and Gunn which lasted through until Brawl 4 All.

It was OK with Aztec Jarrett and the Northwestern Eastern Southern whatever Championship and with Severn and the NWA belt but when Cornett formed the New Midnight Express with "Bombastic" Bob Holly and "Bodacious" Bart Gunn, hence totally crapping all over one of the greatest tag teams in history kind of killed it. But at least the Headbangers won the NWA Tag belts.

It was good for what it was, a little distraction in the midcard.

That angle had all the potential in the world to be something great but when I saw the washed up R+R Express I knew it was going to be scrapped soon.
The NWA invasion should of had its own organization of wrestlers who wrestled each other to build up the top tier players. The NWA should of consisted of Dan Severn, Jeff Jarrett, Farooq, Cactus Jack, Terry Funk, Owen Hart, Dustin Rhodes and Rocky Maivia all going after the NWA World and N.A. Titles. Those titles especially the World title could really give future stars such as Foley, Rock and Owen some momentum before going after the WWF championship. Then 8-12 months later have a NWA vs. WWF PPV w/ the F getting the upper hand and end the angle. Why build it up then end it in a year? To make the WWF look tough to the fans. "See look, The WWF were invaded and they faught off their invaders. Look at WCW and their losing battle against the NWO." Simple Totlally missed opportunity.

I marked for Jarrett's theme music at that time. "There's all the great WWF Superstars of the world....and then there's ME!!"

Who can forget the NWA's classic feud with Bradshaw? Or the 0 heat the match at Unforgiven 98 between the R n R's and the New ME had?

I voted yay. One of my memorable moments was the rule they used in NWA matches, that you can't go over the top rope or the other team wins. I think it was the Headbangers, who were baffled by this and Rock 'n Roll Express won. I think James Cornetter rocked in this angle but the whole thing just withered away.
The new Midnight Express theme was cool. I can't find it anywhere on Lime wire though. Anyone have it or know where to get it?
