I have done this thread before, but cannot find it. And consdering the amount of threads recently asking people about thoughts on a specific Wrestlemania I thought I would start this thread. It's quite simple. Rate the Wrestlemanias from your worst to your favourite and if you want to, list why you like/dislike it.
22. WM16 Not one normal match. Says it all really. 21. WM1 Ok, so it started a tradition. Unfortunately, it's crap 20. WM12 I think the Iron-Man match is over-rated. And that is the only really good thing about this show 19. WM2 So I love the Bulldogs winning the titles and the Battle Royal is fun. But the Boxing Match is crap and the commentary is awful (Elvira and Lord Alfred!!!!) 18. WM11 Just pretty dull really. And LT in the Main Event 17. WM13 Austin/Hart is a classic and Taker winning the title is a good moment. But the rest is pretty boring. 16. WM9 Not nearly as bad as everyone says, but still nothing special. 15. WM18 I know Rock/Hogan is a great moment, but I just couldn't get into this event. 14. WM15 About as average a Wrestlemania as they come. 13. WM5 Hogan/Savage is great. Hart/Hennig is good too. Nothing else was anything special. 12. WM14 A pretty solid card, but there is not one match that really stands out for me. 11. WM21 HBK/Angle is excellent and the Money in the Bank match was good. 10. WM4 A lot of people criticise this one, but for some reason I like it. There is not real standout match and some of the tournament matches are anything special. But I still like it. 9. WM7 Warrior/Savage is awesome and Hogan/Slaughter is pretty decent too. A lot of filler in the card, but some good matches involving the Rockers and DiBiase. 8. WM22 Edge/Foley is great. Trish/Mickie is probably the best ever womens match at a Mania. Money in the Bank was not as good as the year before, but still good. A pretty good card. 7. WM20 Great Main Event, a decent Cruiser match and a show stealer from Christian and Jericho. 6. WM8 Bret/Piper is great. Flair/Savage is good. I like the Snake/Taker match and I also like HBK/Santana. There are some real duds, but I still mark out for the Warrior returning right at the end. 5. WM19 A great card and some great matches. Angle/Lesnar, HBK/Jericho, Hogan/McMahon is fun. I love this show. 4. WM10 Quite possibly the 2nd best non gimmick match ever in Bret/Owen and the best gimmicked match ever in HBK/Razor. Savage/Crush is good. I like the Mixed tag and I also like MOM/Quebecers. =2. WM17 Great matches including Y2J/Regal, Vince/Shane, TLC, HHH/Taker, Austin/Rock and of course the Gimmick Battle Royal was a mark out session. It also had the crucial big show feel to it. =2. WM6. The older I get, the more I realise that the card on this show was pretty poor. But I love the Snake/DiBiase feud finally coming to an end after a year. And say what you like about them, Hogan/Warrior is an awesome match and spectacle. 1. WM3 The best match ever and the biggest match ever. The first Wrestlemania I watched, so maybe I'm rating it higher than I should. But it still remains the one to beat.

22. WM IX--It was the first WrestleMania to be inducted into WrestleCrap, so it gets the lowest ranking from me.
21. WM 2--This one was also inducted into WrestleCrap, but it's a lot better than WM IX.
20. WM XI--The Main Event was Bam Bam Bigelow VS Lawrence Taylor. Enough said.
19. WM XII--Except for the Iron Man match, this WrestleMania wasn't that good.
18. WM IV--This was the most overbooked WrestleMania of all time. At least Randy Savage won the WWF Title.
17. WM 13--There were only two good things at this event: Austin VS Hart and Undertaker winning the WWF Title.
16. WM V--Hulk Hogan VS Randy Savage was great, but the rest wasn't that memorable.
15. WM 22--It Mick Foley VS Edge, the second Money In The Bank, Shawn Michaels VS Vince McMahon and two good World Title matches. However, the rest of the event wasn't that great.
14. WM XV--This was a pretty good WrestleMania with some decent matches and a really good match between The Rock and Stone Cold. It was also the first WrestleMania I saw live.
13. WM I--This started it all. Though the matches weren't spectacular, it started the whole spectical that is WrestleMania.
12. WM 2000--Sure, there were no regular matches; but it had the awesome Triple Threat Ladder Match for the WWF Tag Team Titles, the awesome Chris Benoit/Kurt Angle/Chris Jericho match, and the pretty good Fatal Four-way for the WWF Title.
11. WM VII--Randy Savage VS Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan VS Sgt. Slaughter were really good, but the rest of the card wasn't that memorable.
10. WM X-8--It had The Rock VS Hulk Hogan in an awesome match. Though, it should have been the main event as it took a lot out of the rest of the event.
9. WM 21--Rey Mysterio VS Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle VS Shawn Michaels were great, The Money In The Bank Ladder Match and Triple H VS Batista were good, and the rest of the card was okay.
8. WM 6--Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior wrestle in one of the greatest matches of all time, and they weren't the greatest workers of all time! This is a prime example of a great main event making a whole PPV.
7. WM XIV--This marked a new beginning for the WWF as Stone Cold Steve Austin won the WWF Title from Shawn Michaels in a great match and helped usher in a new era that eventually led to the WWF being the only main wrestling promotion in North America for a while.
6. WM XX--This had two good undercard matches, the Cruiserweight Title open and Chris Jericho VS Christian; Eddie Guerrero retaining the WWE Title from Kurt Angle in a pretty good match; and Chris Benoit winning the World Heavyweight Title in an awesome match.
5. WM 10--Bret Hart VS Owen Hart was a technical classic, and Shawn Michaels VS Razor Ramon in the Ladder Match was amazing.
4. WM VIII-Rody Piper VS Bret Hart and Randy Savage VS Ric Flair were great matches, great enought to make this a great WrestleMania.
3. WM VIII--WM XIX--This had five great matches: Shawn Michaels VS Chris Jericho, Hulk Hogan VS Vince McMahon, Booker T VS Triple H, The Rock VS Stone Cold, and Kurt Angle VS Brock Lesnar. Enough said.
2. WM III--This had one of the greatest matches of all time, Ricky Steamboat VS Randy Savage, and the biggest match of all time, Hulk Hogan VS Andre The Giant. It also helped to make WrestleMania a big event.
1. WM X-Seven--Just look at all the great matches at this event: Chris Jericho VS William Regal, Shane McMahon VS Vince McMahon in a Street Fight, Kurt Angle VS Chris Benoit, TLC II, Undertaker VS Triple H, and The Rock VS Stone Cold for the WWF Title. That, for me, makes it the greatest WrestleMania of all time.

22. WM16, see previous posts on Wrestlemania 2000 21. WM 15 20. WM 11 19. WM 1 18. WM 2 13. WM 9 16. WM 13 15. WM 22 14. WM 5 13. WM 10 12. WM 14 11. WM 21 10. WM 7 9. WM 6 8. WM 4 7. WM 12 6. WM 3 5. WM 20 4. WM 18, just a little worst than 17 3. WM 17, seems to be everyone's fav...the only reason I have it as 3 is because there are some crappy matches in there as well. 2. WM 8, Great card, great matches, the Hoosier Dome was electrical. If only the Flair match were last 1. WM 19, all Wrestlemania cards should be this way. Nearly every match was main event quality. My only complaint is the Undertaker match.
Sorry...I don't have a breif explanation for why I ranked each one the way I did

22) Wrestlemania 13: The only thing that saved it was Bret/Austin. 21) Wrestlemania 11: Because when you think Wrestlemania, you think the Hartford Civic Center. 20) Wrestlemania 2: 3 different venues was a good idea on paper, but the reality was quite different. 19) Wrestlemania 21: Lame crowd fueled the pushes of 2 crappy faces taking the titles off 2 great heels, against an underwhelming midcard. 18) Wrestlemania 4: The tournament was a good idea, but many matches were short and had screwy finishes. 17) Wrestlemania 16: This could have been excellent, but the lack of any singles matches hurt it. 16) Wrestlemania 22: Better than I expected, with very good main events and a fun undercard between MITB, Foley/Edge, and HBK/Vince. 15) Wrestlemania 20: The feel was great historically, but the card itself was only fair. Again, good main events, and Christian/Jericho, but that was about it. 14) Wrestlemania 9: I don't care, I liked it. Caesar's Palace was an awesome venue, I loved the Roman theme, the only real bad match was Taker/Gonzalez, and I marked for Hogan winning the title. 13) Wrestlemania 5: A card during wrestling's First Golden Age. Lots of tag matches, Rude's surprise upset, and probably Hogan's best match ever in the main event. 12) Wrestlemania 15: A card during wrestling's Second Golden Age. Some very good matches, and a hot crowd, capped off with a main event between the 2 biggest stars in the company. 11) Wrestlemania 12: So, there were only 7 matches, and 2 of those were on the Free For All. Still, 60 minutes of Bret vs. Shawn makes up for it. 10) Wrestlemania 19: The outdoor venue again made it special. Both title matches, Hogan/Vince (with Piper's return!), and HBK/Jericho all contributed to a memorable night. 9) Wrestlemania 1: They did what they could with who was on their roster, and something must have worked because we've had 21 more since, and are in the process of ranking them. 8) Wrestlemania 7: Maybe I'm biased because this was my first, and the first time is always special. Still, Hogan becomes the first 3-time champ, we get Warrior vs. Savage and the Blindfold Match. If they actually could have sold out the Coliseum, we could be looking at one of the best ever. 7) Wrestlemania 18: The last Mania before the roster split, and the last under the WWF name. Memorable for that, Hogan's return, RVD winning his first IC match, the shenanigans with the Hardcore Title, and a massive Skydome crowd. 6) Wrestlemania 14: With this card, the transition to the Attitude Era was complete. 5) Wrestlemania 10: It's not often you get 2 ***** classics in the same night. Still, we had that with Bret/Owen and Razor/HBK. Bret also wins his second Title, securing his place back at the top where he belonged. 4) Wrestlemania 17: HHH/Taker, Jericho/Regal, a Gimmick Battle Royal, and another Austin vs. Rock. No better way to send off the Houston Astrodome. 3) Wrestlemania 6: Gotta love the ring carts. Aside from Hogan and Warrior feeding off the crowd, the undercard was strong between Jake/DiBiase, Rockers/Orient Express, and Perfect/Beefcake. Another memorable moment with Demolition's third title win and Andre's face turn and farewell. 2) Wrestlemania 3: I know I may catch heat for not putting it at #1. Hogan/Andre was not a great match, but it was definitely a great moment. Savage/Steamboat is still considered possibly the greatest match ever. Plus, 93,000 fans yelling at the same time, filling a dome to capacity. Incredible. 1) Wrestlemania 8: Yes, we get an awesome Flair/Savage World Title match. Yes, we get an awesome Piper/Bret IC match. Yes, it was Hogan's "retirement." Yes, there was a true markout moment with the return of the Ultimate Warrior. Yes, it was a changing of the guard where stars of the 90's HBK, Taker, and Bret went over stars of the 80's Tito, Jake, and Piper. Yes, they went all out with pyro and dressing up the entrance area. Yes, it was nearly 60,000 fans screaming in the Hoosierdome. But the highlight of the night had to be the best commentary battle of all time. This one night was the single greatest moment of Bobby Heenan's career. He began with his jabs at National Anthem singer Reba McIntyre, and didn't stop until nearly when the show faded to black.

22) Wrestlemania 11 - Terrible matches and Main evented by an NFL player 21) Wrestlemania 12 - The matches were heat level and the Iron Man is overated 20) Wrestlemania 9 - Hogan winning the title in a match he wasn't in, plus it had Taker/Ganzalez 19) Wrestlemania 2 - Forgettable at best 18) Wreslemania - The Birth, but nothing Spectacular 17) Wrestlemania 21 - Not bad 16) Wrestlemania 4 - A bit long winded but alright 15) Wrestlemania 16 - Not a singles on the card but still OK (it's limit) 14) Wrestlemania 13 - Apart from the Awsome Bret/Austin match Terrible 13) Wrestlemania XX - Average, but the main events ruled 12) Wrestlemania 8 - Good, But only 2 matches stand out 11) Wrestlemania 3 - Mediocre but the Awsome Savage/Steamboat saves it 10) Wrestlemania 10 - 2 GREAT matches and a decent undercard 9) Wrestlemania 7 - OK undercard, Warrior/Macho was Great 8) Wrestlemania 19 - Enjoyable despite being in an atrocious year (2003) 7) Wrestlemania 15 - every match had a story plus i marked (still do) for the hanging 6) Wrestlemania 6 - Aside from Brutus beat Mr Perfect a great card & a Classic main event 5) Wrestlemania 5 - great undercard and the Main Event concluded one of the best Angles EVER 4) Wrestlemania 22 - Awsome hardcore matches and a hot crowd 3) Wrestlemania 14 - The Birth of the Attitude era 2) Wrestlemania 18 - Rock/Hogan is the Warrior/Hogan of the 21st Century plus a solid card 1) Wrestlemania 17 - Great matches & a shocking end

22. WM 11- Dull card and location 21. WM 2000- Not one damn singles match 20. WM 13- Blah..Bret/SCSA couldnt save it, tho I di like the 6 man streetfight 19. WM 12- Only 6 matches, one of which was just a fight in an alley and a 2 min. squash 18. WM 9- Not as bad as people say, but still no highr than this 17. WM 2- 3 different locations hampered it 16. WM 1- Nothing special 15. WM 5- I thought it was kind of boring, but the ME was great 14. WM 15- It could have been better considering it was at the zenith of its popularity 13. WM 4- I always liked the tourney and it was a great way to build up Macho Man 12. WM 21- I liked MITB and HBK/Kurt but the Main Event's didnt have that feel...you know 11. WM 7- Savage/Warrior is a great mark out moment, I also liked the tag opener 10. WM 6- Great atmosphere and an even better ME 9. WM 19- The card was a little top heavy, but It was still ok 8. WM 14- Ushered in the attitude era 7. WM 20- There is just something about MSG....a great night to be a wrestling fan 6. WM 22- While everyone on here was craping all over it before it began, I knew it would be good, but it even exceeded my expectations. Cena/HHH was a hot crowd and Edge/Foley was great 5. WM 18- Rock/Hogan was a spectical and It should NOT have main evented, that is for title matches 4. WM 17- The ending prevents it from going higher, but still a great card and location 3. WM 3- The greatest (IC) and biggest (World) matches of the 80's 2. WM 8- Bret/Piper and Flair/Savage are classics and Warriah coming back was a markout moment 1. WM 10- Call me crazy but this was the best. This was the first WM where all of the matches had some background to them (with the exception of Quake/Bomb, which was still a fun little filler). Bret/Owen was a classic, Savage/Crush was violent for that era, the ladder match was great and we get 2 title matches with the retuns of Mr Perfect and Piper....A great show

22. Wrestlemania IX: Inducted into Wrestlecrap. Had "Finkus Maximus", JR in a toga, two clowns, a bad title change. Common, this was a low point! 21. Wrestlemania XI: Had a football player vs. superstar match (READ WWE: If you book a football guy in a match with the "superstars", PPV WILL FAIL!!!), 20. Wrestlemania II: Uncle Elmer falling on his fat ass, Elvira, Ozzy, a crappy cage affair, and Susan St. James. What more? 19. Wrestlemania IV: Over-booked, too long, had 2 VHS tapes to cover, and was just too long! 18. Wrestlemania 5: Except for Hogan and Savage, what was there? 17. Wrestlemania 6: Read above, then replace Savage with Warrior 16. Wrestlemania 13: This PPV has the feeling of, oops, I just crapped my pants! 15. Wrestlemania 21: Kurt vs. Shawn, and Money in the Bank gave this PPV a higher rating than it should have. 14. Wrestlemania X8: Rock and Hogan was the marque match, never mind the rest of the PPV. 13. Wrestlemania XV: The last 30 minutes give this PPV 14th, but if the rest of the PPV was rated seperately, it would have been much much lower. 12. Wrestlemania VII: Hogan and Slaughter may not have been much above par, but Hart Foundation and Nasty Boys certainly did. 11. Wrestlemania 2000: Had Fatal-Four Way which went to Vince turning heel, again, Triple Threat-Two-Title-Get Kurt Angle's titles match. 10. Wrestlemania: The first, and not many beat it. Not the greatest in matches, but the spectacle surely made up for it. Liberace, Ali, Lauper, Billy Martin, I mean, slam match! 9. Wrestlemania III: "He slammed him!!!!" And a fire-breathing dragon would lose soon to a Hogan crony. 8. Wrestlemania VIII: Flair bledstoMcMahon whining, but says nothing about Hart. HBK wrestled well with Santana, though we all know who was supposed to be fighting HBK. 7. Wrestlemania 22: This was supposed to be extremely crappy, but it turned out head above shoulders better. Cena gets booed, Vince and Shawn had a classic, and the World Title Triple Threat was rated PWI #1 match of the 1/2-year. 6. Wrestlemania X: The ladder ruled supreme, but Crush was hangin around elsewhere. Fake Slick Willy almost got bribed, and Burt Reynolds pWn3d HBK!!! 5. Wrestlemania XIV: STONE COLD!STONE COLD!STONE COLD!STONE COLD! HBK had a HBB (last B being a back), Chyna pWn3d Slaughter, Trips won against Owen, Oops, wrong dumpster! Had LOD with the smokin' hot Sunny, and it was just great. 4. Wrestlemania XX: Only drawback was this was almost 5 hours long, an hour too long. But there was awesome WWE/World Title matches, Trish turns slut, 'Taker and Kane II, and a very surprising handicap. 3. Wrestlemania XII: Sorry, but I loved this card. The undercard was amazing solid, had the Backlot Brawl, and IRON MAN!!! 2. Wrestlemania XIX: SUPERCARD! Had Vince and Hogan, Michaels and Jericho, Lesnar almost killing himself, Miller Lite catfight, and Ric Flair would give this thing a "WOO!" 1. Wrestlemania X-Seven: Had Rock and Austin II, TLC II, That awesome Hardcore match, Vince and Shane, 'Taker gave Trips a ride at a lot of places, and the Gimmick Battle Royal!!! BEST WM EVER!!!!

22: XI: It was the only WM where vince had to build it not on the wrestling but celebs. Watch the open, its almost like the wrestlers didnt matter, and well he was pretty much right, alot of over the hill wrestlers and bad booking. 21: WM IX: Taker Gonzo gets alot of heat but it was the most anticapated match of the night. That says alot right there. Luger/perfect was underrated but not even close to either's heyday. Yoko was a fantastic heel, and bret (while rushed) was shown to be the excellence of execution...The hogan screwjob was BS and really dragged the card down into wrestlecrap...without the screwjob it'd probs be middle of the road. 20: WM4: Wayyy too much going on, alot of rushed matches, alot of meaningless matches, all to build up what is a bloody obvious finals which ALSO has a predictable finish. It was like 10 matches for superstars, a battle royal, the start of Rude/Jake, and the title angle that gets the torch passed to savage for the year. Ugg 19: WM 2K: Ladder match is the only thing that could save it. 2000 was the year of the undercard really. Too much McMahon not enough wrestling and all gimmick match cards do NOT work, esp not at WM!!! 18: WM2: The 3 locations didnt bug me except for having a thin ref and announcing crew. Coulda worked better with the NWA where each territory could have their card and 3 main events shown. You could see WWF's seams showing and that's not a good thing. However hogan bundy and piper/T both had great buildup and the battle royal at least served the purpose of getting the harts over as heels and of course the unstoppable andre 17: WM7: UGH! You had the jobbifaction of demolition, the harts dropping the straps to the nastys, lame squashes and an angle that pissed the people off so much they didnt show up for  another hogan title run...plus the OVERBOOKED and OVERBLOWN savage/warrior match/face turn hurt more than it helped, 5 minutes, 5 elbows, gee i wonder if SOMEHOW warrior can kick out, oh my god he did how in the world could he ever do such a thing. 16: WM 13: Bret/Austin is the only thing worth watching. Sid/Taker was a joke that was well below the title it was for, and the rest of it was forgettable enough i um forgot it not complainable, just forgettable. 15: WM12: Too short and the iron man match was drawn out and boring with that scoreless tie crap. UT Nash was OK and the backlot brawl was hillarious and at the moment Golddust was the biggest heel they had. BUT it wasnt as bad as it coulda been with some of the drek on the roster in 96. 14: WM 15: the forgotten crappy WM: Good wrestling but you had the Brawl for all Crap, and lots of not needed Attitude era garbage. I remember not being up at all for this WM and still isn't also this was the year of musical face/heel turns and title changes which did NOT help 13: WM5: Having this event in the same hall (which really looked studio-esque) didn't help and the crowd was dead, casinos are NOT a good place to have an event. Savage Hogan was great and the rest of the card wasnt terrible, Rude/Warrior was a good match and having guys like Arn and Tully on board helped. Hennig/Owen was a cool glimpse into the future, but nothing really impressive, just kinda blah. It didnt help that on my tape (from the WM 1-13 box tape set) the infamous pipers pit was not to be found. 12: WM21: MITB was awesome Angle HBK was awesome but after that it was way drawn out and boring with that lame hemme/trish match and subpar piper's pit and DUMB sumo match, hmmm maybe vince intentionally made everything between the title matches boring on purpose so he could lull the crowd to sleep and plant messages so he could make them mindless cena and batista clones . Yeah, the face always wins the title at WM only works if your faces don't suck. Cena was over at the time on the weaker SD brand, but batista...nahhh, shoulda let HHH keep the title...and when those dreaded words are uttered, you HAVE a problem. 11: WM1: Good pagentry, some nice oldschool wrestling and it set the idea that this was not a wrestling card...remember, there were NWA cards with more top matches, bigger crowds and more heat to their matches. I mean THE WORLD TITLE WAS NOT EVEN AT STAKE ON THE CARD, but yet it was special, it was an EVENT, vince made wrestling an EVENT to watch, worked? yes, care? not really. This was as much about the entertainment than the wrestling and with that, a fed was born...hate it or love it. 10: WMXX: MSG= A hot crowd at all times, even to vince's great dismay at most times. The wrestlers know that WWE is not the E at MSG it is the WWF, this was the home of snuka, hogan, sanmartino, and even bret and HBK had to pass the test under the cable stayed roof of the world's most famous arena. For that it makes it special, for the 20th anniversary, I don't know one wrestler who didn't give their all here (EXCEPT lesnar and goldberg that keeps this out of the top 5) It was a little overbooked with the importance of the 20th anniversary of WM weighing too much and cramming too many guys into the card. Even the wretched PB match had a certain flair to it. Trish's heel turn was well booked, and the main event was WM worthy...if there was a problem everyone was so jacked up there wasnt one standout match. Still top 10 material even with the lesnar/goldberg debacle. 9: WM 19: SAFECO Field was a great venue and had some nice matches. Hardy was an underrated heel and a good CW champ, and of course Rey brings any match up 3 notches. Good women's match Hogan/vince was a decent vince match and was done well. The title matches were well built up but overshadowed by rock austin and HBK/Y2J, the Lesnar SSP screw up didnt help, also too much in between crap between shilling and the atrocious Miller Light Catfight (INDUCT IT RD!), but it was another low top 10er with up and down action but nothing standing out huge. 8: WM18: Skydome helped big time but there was some good wrestling. I thought the Hardcore antics were hillarious and hogan rock had more firepower than hogan/warrior. It was a true classic in the fan reaction sense even with poor angles leading into the event. 7. WM22: Points off for the rosemont horizion and double booking WM and Raw (what the united center doesnt like vince?) and for the cheezy entrances for the RAW main and useless PB pillow fight that cut time from a very good SD main. Hot crowd helps and the overall feel was indeed big time. MITB2 was a good but overshadowed. For it's short length, the SD main was very entertaining even with angle getting screwed twice. Cena HHH was a WILD match with a crowd that was almost ECW hostile. A great hardcore match with edge and foley plus a nice vince HBK match. Trish Mickie was a groundbreaker, a truly built up, well fought and crowd bought women's match. A shame that the end was botched but it was botched cuz the women worked so hard they were exhausted! Lacked a true ***** classic but plenty of ***+ and ****+ matches to make up for it. 6. WM14: I didnt like this WM...but it belongs in the top 10 and toward the top. It had good wrestling and a great main with a swerve with mike tyson. It was what WCW was putting out celeb wise, but more, the WWE coulda rolled over and died after montreal, instead they decided to take what bischoff did and multiply it to levels turner wouldnt let anyone go near. I admit i watched raw every week but couldnt say i liked it, i still watched wcw better but after this, It just was no contest. The attitude era was born and for that alone it should be up here. The tag battle royal was interesting, if confusing filler, well fought by the teams too with a good ending and suprise returns of LOD and Sunny. 5. WM6: Alot of people blast the undercard and sink the entire PPV for it but I think that's a little harsh. You have the face turn of andre, the infamous piper race angle with an underrated midcard talent in Bad News Brown, MDM/Snake, Duggan/Bravo and a great crowd. And yes warrior hogan 1 was the finest match either had, you can tell they both knew they were cartoon wrestlers, over on their gimmicks and physiques and not abilities but they wanted to make this special...the hard work they showed was NOT unnoticed. Top 5 for sure but there could have been some more build to the undercard. 4. WM8: My favorite WM. The greatest WM of all time. Let me drool over this card. You had the New Kid knocking out the Old legend in HBK santana in a nicely paced match, UT ending the carrer of Jake Roberts (wwf wise, of course) in a match where the deadman sat up...from TWO DDTs and in a rarely noticed peice of clever booking, he distroys Jakes legend in the way Jake launched his legend, by executing his finisher on the concrete, then you had bret piper which proved that if you let two wrestlers who are skilled enough, you can have a legendary match with NO buildup whatsoever one of top 3 Non gimmick WWE matches ever, then COMIC GOLD with an 8 man tag that was decent enough with Ray Combs (RIP) shilling the family feud appearance later that month, and it was a good cartoon era match and got the plug in yet was still a great 8 man tag. And then the MAIN EVENT, the one we've been waiting for since january, the one that pits two legends, a budding star of a heel, and a diva before the term ever existed, the one that has controversy, intrigue, and wrestling. It was violent, it was bloody, it had you biting your nails but in the end Savage comes out of retirement to defend his wife to win the WWF title!!! What a way to end wrestlemania!!! this is what wrestlemainia is about, the greatest spect...what's that? that was only half the card? you mean there were 3 more matches? Tatanka martel, what, surely that's a dark match for superstars. Money Inc/Natural Disasters, no thats for challenge, Owen/Skinner, what is this, the jobber hour? Hogan Sid is the main event...O k a y. Yup folks, this WM was on it's way to being one of the greatest but hogan's arrogance dragged it down to #4 with a meaningless match with sid where sid didnt care and a clusterscrew finish. And with that the early 90s of promise started going downhill faster than you can say...i left after they didnt show liz naked on the hoosiervision! (which im sure from looking at crowd shots, many did) 3: WM17: You know something is good when you looked forward for years to seeing a match you KNOW will be the worst on the card ;D As it was you had a nice last hurrah for a building that had seen better days. It was a great card with great matches up and down. TLC1 is one of the greatest matches ever, bar none. Angle benoit was a techincal masterpeice and the main event between austin and rock was a half hour of nonstop action. Not quite flair and steamboat but not the 15 min stuff either...it WAS a WM quality main event. Vince and shane pulled out all the stops for people who are non wrestlers and planted the seeds for the invasion angle. Jericho regal was good, if short and the hardcore 3 way was right up kane's alley. And of course you had the gimmick battle royal! It was easily the best post 96 (aka when vince realized he had to change or die) WM by far. And that goes to say alot given the fads and the ratings. And also, sadly this was the last time vince ever went close to full throttle at a ppv. 2. WMX: Coming between the two worst WMs ever comes one of the best. Every match had huge buildup, the double booking only helped to enhance the mood and the drama as it built up to Bret winning the title...the matches were so good a 12 man tag had to be scrapped to make room for the greatness. HBK/Razor set the tone for the ladder match replacing the steel cage match as the most dramatic gimmick match in wrestling. Well thought out with great spots that showed artistry not just recklessness. Bret owen was a feud that was so sharp bret had to abbandon his title hunt just to take him on...and he LOST. In a spectacular match no less. Savage and crush was brutal, the first time hardcore elements were really put into play in the WWF aside from a heel killing a face spot here and there. Madusa was an underated performer, decent womens match, Tenta/clarke was fast and furious and bammer against the doinks was fun and had some good wrestling. Hell even MOM turned it up a notch (and big vis can wrestle when he wants to.) and the quebecers were grade a heels. And then bret came back and won the belt from the mighty yoko who used a crooked guest ref in hennig to keep from getting tired when double booked against luger. And yoko was a good opponent and the two wrestled a meaningful match before bret won it once and for all...thats how you make a superface my friends. And say what you want but the hitman was a great face even if he didnt get the billions behind him hogan or rock or even austin did, he kept a fed that shoulda died in steroid flames alive during its toughest period, often helping subpar talent in the process. That leave only one. WM3: Hogan Andre, it was a legend 3 years in the making, ever since the uberface hogan was born people would think what about andre. You had the two biggest names in pro wrestling and that filled 90k seats. No one could come close, and with shows like raw, no one could even really try since they would end up crossing paths on raw at one time or another. As for the undercard...the greatest match in VKM WWF history, no props, no gimmicks, just WRESTLING. between savage and steamboat, ive seen it 30 times and i still shake when i see the nailbiting rollups and suplexes. THAT is drama, THAT is sports, THAT is entertainment. As for the rest of the card, not as bad as people think. The bundy midget disaster was funny with the heels even revolting against bundy's dastardly ways. Martel and Zenk was a nice tag match and the bulldogs vs harts and davis was well built up and thought out. Piper adonis was a good match for the rowdy one to go to hollywood on and the ed leslie angle actually didnt suck too much, he needed to turn face, piper gave his blessing and he gave birth to his gimmick...not too painul. Honky Jake ended a bitter feud and was a great role reversal in a well built up match. The Bees were way underrated and duggan going after the shiek was perfect sense. Every match meant something, hell WM3 was so well built...i rooted for BILLY JACK HAYNES...as did the crowd...WHO? billy jack haynes, some guy with a full nelson who became black blood, against herc, not exactly god either. Yet the presentation, the aura of the fans, the buildup package and backstage interviews set up each match perfectly. That is wrestling at it's purest, it makes you wanna care, you could have each move told to you 2 minutes earlier and yet when you see it, you still jump out of your seat. It's a dying art with the combination of spotfests and sleaze over wrestling, but it is a great art. You felt for beefcake when he got abbandoned...yes ill say it..WM 3 made me care about ED FN LESLIE!!!!!!!!!! i think that says it right there. WM3 is what made the WWF #1 and why it stayed that way until 1993...it is the greatest card in Wrestling history...and it is my #1. any questions

22. WM XI- Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Lawrence Taylor is the main event?! Very weak match and a very weak card. 21. WM IX- Inducted into WrestleCrap. 'Nuff said. 20. WM 2- Also Inducted into WrestleCrap and celebrities should not call wrestling matches. 19. WM XV- Rock vs. Stone Cold was the only good thing about. 18. WM 2000 (XVI)- The Triangle Ladder match and Fatal 4 Way only did it for me. 17. WM VII- Undertaker starts his WrestleMania winning streak and Hogan vs. Sgt. Slaughter was okay. 16. WM IV- One night tournament for the WWE title was okay and Savage vs. DiBiase was good. 15. WM 13- Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin became on of the greatest matches ever and Undertaker wins the title from Sycho Sid. 14. WM- The first WrestleMania set the landmark for wrestling and the main event was good. I'm refusing to call it sports-entertainment. 13. WM V- Hogan vs. Savage was a dream match come true for me. It also happened the year I was born. 12. WM X- Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon in a Ladder match for the IC title was one hell of a match and Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart is a great match. 11. WM VIII- The Bret Hart vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper IC title match was fantastic and Flair vs. Savage for the WWE title was great should've been the main event. 10. WM 21- One of the most fantastic WrestleMania's to date. Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio, the first Money in the Bank Ladder match, Undertaker vs. Randy Orton, and especially, Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels. Those matches really tore the house down off the Staples Center in L.A. Also John Cena ends JBL's record regin as WWE Champion and Batista becomes the longest regining World Heavyweight champion by defeating Triple H. 9. WM XII- Undertaker defeated Diesel in a great big man match and Bret Hart took on Shawn Michaels in an Iron Man match for the WWE title which Michaels won in sudden death in what many consider to be the greatest match in WrestleMania history. 8. WM X-8 (XVIII)- The Rock takes on Hulk Hogan in a match that was only a dream where Rock defeated Hogan and turned face leaving the nWo and Triple H defeats Chris Jericho to win the WWE Undisputed after coming back from a near career ending injury. 7. WM XX- WrestleMania returns home to MSG in New York City and delivers one hell of a show. The Cruiserweigth open and Jericho vs. Christian steals the show. Eddie Guerrero retains the WWE Championship in a fantastic match against Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit defines all the odds in winning a Triple Threat match against Triple H and Shawn Michaels for the World Heavyweight title in one of the greatest WrestleMania main events ever. 6. WM VI- Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior lock up with Hogan's WWE title and Warrior's IC title on the line and it bcomes one of the greatest matches ever. 5. WM XIV- This event kick started the Attitude era in WWE. Undertaker takes on his brother Kane for the first time in a great match and Stone Cold Steve Austin won the WWE title from Shawn Michaels in an even greater match to become one of the best champions ever. 4. WM XIX- One of the greatest events in wrestling history. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho, Booker T vs. Triple H, Rock vs. Stone Cold, Vince McMahon vs. Hulk Hogan, and Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle were all great matches. 3. WM 22- WrestleMania went Big Time with exciting and great matches like Mick Foley vs. Edge in a Hardcore match, Money in the Bank Ladder II, Shawn Michaels vs. Vince McMahon in a No Holds Barred match, Rey Mysterio defeats Randy Orton and Kurt Angle for the World Heavyweight title in a Triple Threat match, and John Cena vs. Triple H for the WWE title. 2. WM III- This is widely considered the greatest PPV ever. Good card solid. One of the greatest matches ever happened when Ricky Steamboat took on Macho Man Randy Savage for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. This match inspired Chris Jericho to be a wrestler. This is widely considered to be one of the greatest matches in North American wrestling history. The match was the culmination of a long and bitter feud (which saw Savage "crush" Steamboat's larynx) between the two and featured tremendous athleticism and in-ring storytelling. After nineteen two-counts, Steamboat pinned Savage to end his near 14 month reign as Intercontinental Champion. Hulk Hogan faced Andre the Giant in a match that would be Hogan's most famous of Hogan's career, and is often regarded as the biggest match in the history of the business, one which saw Hogan bodyslam the 520-pound Frenchman before pinning his shoulders to the mat. It had a (bullsh*t) record setting attendance record of 93,173, the largest North American indoor crowd to witness a live sporting event and largest paid crowd in the history of professional wrestling. 1. WM X-Seven (XVII)- The highest grossing in the company's history and the highest grossing professional wrestling pay-per-view ever. A record-breaking attendance for the Reliant Astrodome of 67,925 resulted in gross receipts of $3.5 million USD. This featured these great matches, Kurt Angle defeating Chris Benoit in a technical classic, Shane McMahon defeating his father Vince McMahon in a Street Fight with Mick Foley as special referee, Edge and Christian defeating the Dudley Boyz and the Hardy Boyz in TLC II to win the WWE tag team titles, the Undertaker defeating Triple H in his hometown, and Stone Cold Steve Austin defeating the Rock with Mr. McMahon's help to win the WWE title. Great matches, great crowd, and a hell of a way to end the Attitude Era. This is why this is the greatest WrestleMania ever.

Haven't seen 21 or 22. Nice to see some people can have their own opinions and not just "Well RD hated it and inducted it into WC, so I must rank it here" #20) Wrestlemania 2- Horrible. Only a few matches that I'd even consider good (3 stars). Not enough to overcome the absolute duds and bad commentary. Horrible idea splitting the card up in 3 venues, Vince. #19) Wrestlemania XI- It was 1995, so the roster wasn't good, but they still could've done better than this. I guess you could say that it's at least better than the KOTR from that year... The tag title match is fun and despite what Bret might think, he's had way worse matches than his match with Backlund. See his match vs. Lawler at the 95 KOTR for a far worse match. #18) Wrestlemania XV- I remember being extremely disappointed with this at the time considering how big the WWF was and time has been even less kind to it. I finally got the chance to watch this again recently and I couldn't watch it in one sitting. No great matches and interference all over the place. Even the Triple H turn which I remembered as being cool at the time wasn't good and the overhyped main event paled big time compared to the match Austin and Rock had the next month at the April PPV. #17) Wrestlemania (I)- Other than the celebs, this is one underwhelming event. No great matches, but unlike WM 2, this one at least maintains a more solid average for match quality and the commentary team isn't spread out. #16) Wrestlemania V- The first of the big "why the hell do so many people praise this WM?" events on the list. A rather mediocre card all the way through with a few exceptions. The celeb stuff is just annoying and the main event, while good thanks to Savage manages to generate very little suspense despite all the buildup. Hogan might as well have come out wearing the belt and holding a sign that read "It'll all be official in 20 minutes" #15) Wrestlemania 13- A popular choice for the worst WM and it starts off pretty bad. The opening match is pointless. A Wrestlemania match setting up a match on Raw?!?! The IC title match is weak. Then things improve. Goldust/HHH is better than anyone seems to give it credit for. The tag title match is ok, but with a weak ending. The submission match is a classic. The "street" fight is a fun garbage match. The main event is weak, but also better than anyone gives it credit for. Cut out the several minutes spent in bearhugs and it'd be decent. #14) Wrestlemania IV- This event suffers because due to the tournament, most of the matches aren't given enough time to be as good as they could've and the one match that was given time (Jake/Rude) was filled with way too obvious stalling. Still a memorable event for the importance of the tournament and because it's DiBiase's one moment in the spotlight... at least before Hogan messes it up. #13) Wrestlemania XVIII (X-8)- A monumental leap down after the previous year's installment. Considering the roster was probably at its deepest ever, this WM had no excuses not to be better than this. No great matches. Mediocrity reigns. Rock/Hogan is the most overrated match ever, with only possibly the UT/Mankind match from KOTR 98 being able to compete with it. #12) Wrestlemania XII- Even numbered star treks are supposedly better than the odd numbered ones and starting with WM 4, it seemed to be the same way with Wrestlemanias up until WM 17. WM 4> WM 5 < WM 6 > WM 7 < WM 8 > WM 9 < WM 10 > WM 11 < WM 12 > WM 13 < WM 14...... This kept the trend going, but mainly only because of the WMs that surround it. The opening 6-man tag is solid, but I'd rather have seen these guys in solo matches. The backlot brawl is a mess ( both segments) and the OJ footage is lame. The Austin/Savio match is insanely underrated, probably mainly because the crowd is absolutely DEAD during it. The Warrior squash is a waste of space. UT/Diesel is one of my favorite big man matches ever. (3.5 stars) Very surprising considering Nash had no reason to bother trying at that point. The main event is overrated and underbooked. Might've been great as a 30 minute match. #11) Wrestlemania VII- One of the better WM openers. A reasonably solid, if underwhelming card. Savage/Warrior is a classic. The main event is underappreciated. Slaughter manages to carry Hogan to a match that is better than it had any right being and it manages to build more suspense than Savage/Hogan did 2 years earlier. To be continued....

#10) Wrestlemania III- Easily the most overrated WM of all time. Yes it has a big crowd. Yes most of you were probably kiddies and you'd probably sing the praises of it even if it was 3 hours of the Brooklyn Brawler standing in the ring doing nothing just because of that reason.... but the event is rather average. The opener is a glorified squash, Haynes/Hercules is boring. Only the commentary for the midget match is funny, Junkyard Dog vs. Race is too short to be any good, ditto for Rougeaus/Dream Team, which could've been a great match, Piper/Adonis is ok, the 6-man tag was good, but it would've been better to have Bulldogs vs. Hart Foundation for the titles. Natural/Koko is just there... ditto for Bees vs. Sheik/Volkoff. Jake/Honky is ok. Savage/Steamboat WAS the best WM match of all time until Bret/Owen, but one match alone can't raise the whole PPV THAT much.
Hogan/Andre is historic, but horrible quality wise. Since I think rankings like these are most useful as suggestions for those who aren't fans or haven't seen some of these events and are seeking opinions, it has to be written as such. Somebody who is just getting into wrestling isn't going to care about the historical importance of something they don't yet care enough about. They weren't there to see the buildup. And they're not going to say "Well I'm just getting into wrestling. I've heard of Hogan from his horrible movies and Andre the Giant from The Princess Bride. Gee I sure hope they had a match 20 years ago. That'd be a dream come true"
#9) Wrestlemania XVI (2000)- I thought this would end up worse than it did. The opener was weak and Ice T made my ears bleed. The "battle royal" was a fun garbage match. The Head Cheese match was horrid. The tag title match (technically the first TLC match even though it wasn't called as such) was awesome and better than the sequels due to its freshness. The catfight was a waste. The 6-person tag was ok. The triple threat match was good but not great. The main event having 4 people sucked. Big Show was a waste considering how fast he got eliminated and having Foley's big retirement end so quickly only to have him job was also a waste. The match after the Big Slow was eliminated was good. The ending was pretty crappy, referring to the intereference, not the heel win. A heel winning added at least a little sense of uncertainty to future WM main events.
#8) Wrestlemania VI- Another overrated WM, but not as much as WM 3. It manages to maintain a better overall average in the quality department, although it doesn't really have any great matches in the undercard. Hogan/Warrior is better than I would've expected (4 stars) and was a pretty good end to solid PPV. I had no complaints, but this PPV isn't as good as people tend to hype it, especially if you watch the edited down Coliseum Video version.
#7) Wrestlemania IX- Yep, that's not a typo. I bet some of the "everything from the 80s ruled because I was a kid then" people have spontaneously combusted right about now. You get the feeling that most people have never watched it and just bash the hell out of it because it's the popular thing to do. I'll get the bad out of the way first. The ending with Hogan winning the title is lame as hell, although I do find it funny how many people bash this despite being Hogan fans as well as people who think that every WM should end with a face victory.... UT/Giant Gonzalez is the worst WM match of all time... but considering Gonzalez is horrid and UT isn't exactly a guy who you'd call on to carry big men to good matches, what did you expect? The endings to most of the matches are rather weak too... but weak endings don't totally negate all that came before it.
Shawn/Tatanka is a solid 3-star opener Steiners/Headshrinkers also a 3-star match with a few sick bumps Crush/Doink has a wrestlecrappy ending, but it fit with Doink's gimmick and the match itself was ok Razor/Backlund had no buildup and gets bashed for this despite all of the previous WMs having multiple matches with little-to-no buildup. It's decent for a short match. The Tag title match... it's too long, but then again it was hyped as a main event, so it had to be. Money Inc. wins and retains, so it's not all bad. Narcissist/Perfect is good, if average. Not anywhere close to as bad as people build it up. Lex may have had plenty of duds, but this retroactive labelling of ALL Lugers matches as duds is ridiculous. Same thing with Labelling all of Nash's matches as duds just because he became a big lazy waste of tv time. And finally Bret manages to carry Yokozuna to his best match. It's a solid, if short main event. Solid might sound crappy for a WM main event, but it beats the crap out of Hogan/Andre.
#6) Wrestlemania XX- A very average PPV for most of the first half, with the exception of Christian/Jericho, but the last 3 matches elevate the event enough to bring the event this high. Angle/Eddie and the main event are really good and UT/Kane manages to be better than I thought it would be,although not as good as their WM 14 match
To be continued again....
