Never understood why you always hear some girls talk about wanting to date a bad man, i mean they should know there is a much higher chance on a bad man cheating on a girl, i just don't get it

From what I've seen, it's just one of those things were a girl hopes that her "bad man" won't cheat on her, but it's still something they want to experience. Most girls will wisen up and find someone better for them. It's more of a life experience thing than anything.

Because women, generally, are illogical and driven by emotion. Not all women want the "bad guy" but the ones who do do so because of the thrill and the hope that they have the power to change them. When they discover that they can't, they invariably blame it on the "asshole men" in the world when they should have known better in the first place.

Same reason some guys have a thing for "hooker with a heart of gold" types: they are exciting and dangerous and you delude yourself that you will be the one to reform them.

Because they want to change them into a good man, its a project. Of course lots of times they give up on that project and just become a victim of Stockholm Syndrome. Then they do it all over again.

In the same vein...guys who like lesbians. Why like them when they want NOTHING to do with you? It's because guys fantasize about lesbians making out...and ultimately inviting them to join in....something that will never ever happen. It should be bi-sexual girls that guys dream about, but they never get any credit at all! ;D

Women want excitement. If you care about politics, being a decent human being, or anything actually important, you're boring to women.

It's already been more eloquently stated but it's the want to be the one to change them.

I don't know, but I can tell you one thing women don't like, or at least smart ones. When you generalize "women are like this, women are like that". A few of you guys might wanna take note of that. How much do you like being lumped in with all men, especially the clueless ones?

Sympathy. It's a sign of the times we are in, what with everyone wanting a reality show and attention. If your in a healthy, stable, happy relationship, you'll never show up on Oprah crying on her couch. For some women, they need something to complain about to co-workers and nice guys. So long as someone is saying "poor baby" a part of them feels good. There are also the women who really hate their fathers and want to find the worst guy possible just to get back at him for whatever reason. As for women being generationalized or lumped into one group, if "women like the bad guys" was a fairly rare complaint, then generalizing would be unfair at the very least. But this complaint/observation is very common. I think its fair to generalise something that is an estabolished trend. For guys who are having trouble finding girls, its a question that drives them nuts. They are what women claim to want but remain alone. Meanwhile the guy who is in and out of jail on a weekly basis has 4 children and a long line of women who can't wait to date him. It seems unfair and illogical.

There are also guys who dig tomboyish women and muscular types. And the psycho women... Harley: You don't say. ;D Honestly, everyone has their own taste. If they want to date a "bad guy" let them. Now, if I could just find a psycho women who likes a nice, crazy guy.

Good question. I have absolutely no idea why chicks dig 'bad' guys. I guess they like to be dominated?

People don't like pushovers. Often the "nice guys" are simply just pushovers. People like being challenged on occasion. I am not saying all nice guys are pushovers, but that is often the case. It's just finding the balance between decent guy and pushover.
