There was also one of the pulp fiction ending with Stevie talking Dances with Dudleys into paying him to let Buh Buh teach the Meanie how to dance. Another great moment with Stevie & the Meanie: And on the topic of Public Enemy impersonators: The Dudley BoyS ruled.

Here's one moment that might only be subtle to people that weren't at the shows, but one that was amazing to me:
Being the kid in the audience that got the chant started. If you were that guy, and the few people around you were the first 5 people to start chanting in the Arena, that was a cause for high fives and hugs all around.
That was a great feeling.

I loved it when guys would show back up after being in wwf or wcw and the crowd shout all of the people that pinned them at them but one of the things I loved was how they sometimes subtly made stars. For example,Chris jericho vs tazz:Tazz beat him with the tazmission but he passed out from the pain instead of tapping out,he was one of if not THE first to do that.
Oh and how sometimes fans would bring stuff even if it wasnt bring your own weapons day, like when they gave tommy dreamer a blueberry pie.

On the "Double Tables" show, Jason ("The Sexiest Man On Earth") brought in Jason the Terrible to wrestle in a match. I think it was him and the Pitbulls (then-managed by Stevie Richards) against Hack Myers and the Young Dragons. (Mikey Whipwreck and Paul Lauria under hoods.) Jason the Terrible beat this one kid so bad, his mask was torn off. Paul Lauria recuperating with no mask: just odd. And Joey didn't even bring it up.

I Want Pulp Fiction promos back immediately. The backstage Raw skits might be bearable just with that music.

One of my favorite gimmicks ever was Joey breaking out into hives whenever Jason was around.

I am in the extreme minority here but it cracked me up every time Simon Diamond and Dick Hurtz came out and did their "ambigously" (sp?) gay duo stuff.

I also really liked the Foley promo where he talks about passing time on the road by singing every song in Bob Dylan's voice, or speaking like Axl Rose in every day conversation. So random.

"The winners as a result of a point differential - 67 to 64 - and STILL the ECW World Intercontinental United States Georgia Western Heritage Tag Team Champions..."
Joel Gertner wasn't all about raunch. That was pretty funny.

Seriously, the entrances: using music everyone knows, the finishers, the fact that Bam Bam can throw Spike into the crowd and there wasn't a problem with it. The promos leading up to the matches with the overly excited Paul Heyman voicing them and the camera angles and cuts they use.
I wish that a box set of all the ECW PPV's would be released without all the messed up over dubbing and editting done by the WWE but im sure that will never happen

I still want to find the "pulp fiction" promo where New Jack was explaining why they had to beat the Eliminators to get the belts and make extra money. He said this kid got shot in their hood and they needed to get some cash for his tombstone.

On the ECW Best of Cactus Jack, Joey Styles then says, "I can assure you that Mick Foley does not have an eating disorder."

There were some real gems said during commentary... I remember during one PPV (I think) where Styles is joined by Cyrus, and for some reason they were talking about Dawn Marie's breasts. Styles says they are fake and... Cyrus: "Those are fake?" Styles: "Can you name a real pair in this business?" Cyrus: "You and I are a real pair." Styles: "... I think I'm going to like this." Another fun one went something like this: During a Steve "King of Old School" Corino match: Cyrus: He's the King of Old School Joey! Joey (referring to Corino's dyed blond hair): That dye job's old school! Cyrus: I dunno, it has a certain Flair to it... Joey: I can't believe you just said that! That Corino bit is priceless. I'm pretty sure that Joey was talking about Jack Victory's dye job when he was at ringside in the wheelchair.

He said this kid got shot in their hood and they needed to get some cash for his tombstone. I was led to believe it was his niece through the recap in the Torch that week. Check around the August 1996 ECW Arena show, ("The Doctor Is In", when Steve Williams made his ECW debut) or the weeks before it.

I remember one exchange during a Tajiri/Guido/Crazy match that began with comments about if the ref could understand Japanese or Spanish and then led to... Cyrus: They need someone like me who's fluent in all languages Joey: Fluent in all languages? You're not fluent in all languages. Cyrus: Sure I am. I'm a cunning linguist. Joey: I walked right into that one, didn't I?

I'm sure if you go to a FYE and look hard enough, you can find the old ECW dvds, for cheap to.

Plus, you can get a variety of them on eBay for less (the original tables, like Double Tables, Crossing The Line, Big Ass Blizzard Blast, etc.) though they're probably copies from the original RF video tapes. Check RF Video first, they still have a very good selection of material, plus all of the fancams (I have a fancam of the show I went to in '99) and for very reasonable prices.
