When Shane Douglas came back from the WWF the crowd started chanting names of people he had lost to: "Ahmed Johnson! Ahmed Johnson!" "Raaaaaaazor! Raaaaazor!" I think the same thing happened to a tag team, don't remember which but they kept chanting "Smoking Guns" at them. Probably Chris Candido they were chanting Smoking Gunms at It was the Harris Brothers and apparently some sort of altercation broke out betweena section of the crowd invoved in the chanting and the Harris'. Apparently. My favourite part of the old ECW involved Public Enemy. In true hip-hop style, during an interview with Joey Syles , Rocco Rock turned to the camera and said: "PEACE!!" (pause) "...Of Joey Styles!" Then he and Grunge beat the bejeezus out of the diminutive itailian. I have it on an old tape and it still makes me laugh!

That Corino bit is priceless. I'm pretty sure that Joey was talking about Jack Victory's dye job when he was at ringside in the wheelchair. Cyrus and Joey were hysterical. I remember one exchange during a Tajiri/Guido/Crazy match that began with comments about if the ref could understand Japanese or Spanish and then led to... Cyrus: They need someone like me who's fluent in all languages Joey: Fluent in all languages? You're not fluent in all languages. Cyrus: Sure I am. I'm a cunning linguist. Joey: I walked right into that one, didn't I? So was Cyrus' gimmick that he didn't realize what he was saying was like what Gertner would say, but he still berated Gertner for his inappropriate comments? That's something that is thought out, my friends. Only in ECW ;D

Adding on to the crowd's awesome traits, I loved it when they would count to ten in Spanish during Super Crazy's punches in the corner. That was hella awesome. I also liked how the fans would chant "Lu-cha Li-bre!" to show appreciation when two luchadores like Super Crazy and Psychosis were engaged in one-on-one bouts.
