The lighting and the statues give it a very Rocky Horror feel.

I wonder if outsports.com knows that "gay-friendly" Kevin Nash booked Lenny and Lodi as the West Hollywood Blondes?

...Maybe McMahon was right after all....TNA's current product IS tawdry...and I LIKE most of TNA's roster! Going PG stopped this sort of thing from showing up again after all the complaints about the Attitude era's insanity....

If TNA is so gay friendly why didn't they hire Kanyon a few years ago? He's four times the wrestler than OJ. Kanyon wanted to have his character come out as gay and TNA turned it down. So it's better to have a bisexual wrestler than a gay wrestler?

Old ECW was tawdry as hell and we'd all kill to have it back against WWE's family friendly PG shtick. If TNA = Pink Flamingos and WWE = Leave it to Beaver, then we finally got the difference between the two.

So it's better to have a bisexual wrestler than a gay wrestler? They tried to hire Kanyon full time after his match with Raven at Turning point in 2005. They offered Kanyon a contract, which Kanyon decided to post on his myspace, complaining about the terms, rather than, you know, trying to negotiate with TNA like a normal person. I'm a huge fan of Kanyon, but calling TNA homophobic for not hiring a guy who's pretty unstable is pretty unfair. Kanyon has come out with a lot of BS since his TNA match about TNA, the 'E and even the Montral Screwjob so I'd take everything he says with a lorryload of salt.

Ok another example for you to think about. Andromeda. Cassandro, a well known Exotico was schedule to make his TNA debut last year. TNA did an abstract video package on TV and had his logo on their website. Then suddenly dropped it for no reason. TNA said they ran into visa issues with Cassandro and had to release him from contract which is crap due to him being an American citizen. Cassandro later explain that some members TNA management were paranoid and afraid to deal with an openly gay wrestler.

Hey, I'm not saying TNA is completely innocent, I said earlier in the thread I don't trust the booking team to handle OJ well, Cassandro obviously thought the same. I'm just saying that not hiring Kanyon wasn't due to homophobia, but because he acted in an unprofessional manner.... Which sucked really, as I've been a mark for Kanyon since his days as Mortis and would have loved to have seen him have one last run with a largeish company.

In the second picture I get a "Clockwork Orange" feel... I like it. I always thought a wrestler with a Clockwork Orange gimmick would have been badass.

Not real familiar with the movie but didn't Raven have something similar to a Clockwork Orange gimmick. I know they named the Raven's Rules match after it.

I don't remember the West Hollywood Blondes being that homophobic or anything, just that the network didn't like it. Anyway, I'm watching Raw, so I checked out his entrance and I like it. He reminds me of Goldust when he started out in 1996. Sex will always be a controversial subject in society, and I think OJ's gimmick is intriquing, especially since a bi-sexual gimmick has never been done before. I've been listening to Bill Behrens talk about the gimmick and how it maybe negative for OJ's career and there may not be too many places to go. However, I think the way the gimmick has been presented so far is a good take off of the many Adrian Street/Goldust type characters in the past.
