Seriously, the RKO RKO RKO crap is tearing me apart.
So he wins a match with it? Ok. He then hits the person who helped him win? Getting into HHH/Londrick terriotory here. He then dodges a finishing move... and hits it? Well ok fine, that just sets him up for.... Another dodged finisher and RKO? *siiiiigh*
And for weeks now, Orton promos have basically been "Arrive. RKO. Leave." Just about to anyone and everyone he can find... for the hell of it I guess.
And honestly, the "flying" RKOs on Bourne and Morrison were NOT impressive at all, mainly due to Orton not getting any air for either of them.
Oh and of course Orton has to do that little.... spasm.... thing.... every time he hits it. Which is looking more and more stupid every week.
I don't know why "Face Orton" has to equal "Untouchable Orton" is all. But for me, the act is already old and right now Orton just feels like a poor mans Stone Cold.

I completely agree with everything Sharpy Snow wrote. They're booking him like the second coming of Austin. Which really annoys me.
Orton gets good pops, but he will never EVER be as over as SCSA. Austin could get away with making the roster look like fools because he was printing money for the company. Orton isn't on that level at all.
And can they please stop trying to make every time Orton and Cena look at each other some kind of epic confrontation? They've wrestled a ton of times in the past. It's not like Hogan/Rock.

completely agreed....his stupid spasm after he hits it automatically induces a channel switch, for me. And hell, if he hits it on 18 (fresh) people in a row, why the hell cant he just hit it at the beginning of the match and save us from having to watch his horrible-assed wrestling for 10 minutes?

Its a wonder how WWE remain in business with chumps like Orton and Cena at the top isnt it?

I didn't like the RKO on Darren Young. If Young had just walked off at the end of the match, his return would have been good. Him coming in to celebrate with Orton just to get RKO'd killed any little momentum he'd just created for himself and made him look like a complete idiot.

They're trying to put it over like the Stunner but I'm not buying it. It's a nice move, but he's been seriously over doing it. I remember Austin going on big stunner-fests, but that was usually involving non-wrestlers. The move is losing it's appeal on me fast.

Sorry I just don't see it, he is the most over face in the company and his face turn has worked wonders and I'm sure taking an RKO won't hurt Darren Young one little bit since he's still a rookie anyway. It's not like Darren Young was in a great spot anyway even after helping Orton win he's just there atm.
And as for the Austin comparisons WWE isn't stupid they know Orton isn't as over as Austin (hardly anyone is) but they know by booking him like Austin the fans will love it and they are.
And I don't think he's untouchable either, wasn't he pinned by Barrett last week and left laying? Id bet money he will be left laying next week too.

...I like it. I like Orton. I think the man is insanely talented, I think the RKO looks great, and I don't mind that they're Stone Cold-ing him. But that's me.

One of the biggest faces on the show? Got a title match coming up? More pressing, he's got a big main event the next week he needs to look sharp for? They would be mentally ill to not have ended the show on that note.

Sign me up with Bradley, 4real and Dudeheed. Have been an Orton fan since he first arrived in the WWE, and am enjoying his push right now. The RKO is one of my favorite finishers and I am anticipating the Cena/Orton match next week.

I like it, sure it's very austin-like but that why I like it.
Plus remember the last time he turned face after evolution and he turned from badass to smiley happy babyface and it sucked. Well I like the fact that this time round he turned face organically and has not changed his character much, he's still the same badass viper he was as a heel.

Personally, the RKO is the only thing I find enjoyable about the guy. They need to stop Stone Colding him, though. The man will never be Stone Cold.

The move itself is fine. It's one of my favorite finishers in WWE b/c he can do it from out of nowhere. Sure, I think the spasms that he goes into before and after the move look really really stupid, but you know...he's intense and stuff.
I just don't like how he does the move so much. I'm tired of seeing the move hit back to back to back. It's making me get tired of the move in general, which isn't a good thing.

I love what they are doing, as an old fan of the Diamond Cutter...

I love it, myself. Orton's become one of my favorites on the roster since his face turn and the RKO-fests are a part of why. No, he isn't going to be the Next Stone Cold. But it's the same type of badass loner anti-hero character. And fans can't help but cheer for that. He gets the biggest pops of anyone on the roster, and it's because the fans actually want to cheer for him instead of being told to like with John Cena.

I agree, I'm sick of him, don't like him, and the RKO over and over is annoying.

I love it too. ''Arrive. RKO. Leave''. suits his character because a character like that is not gonna cut long promos. The crowd obviously aren't sick of it considering how they pop for it and how often they cheer for it. It's the most over move in the company.

I like the RKO when it's done properly. "Properly," to me, means that the opponent is standing.
Someone has a .gif in their sig of Orton RKOing Evan Bourne as Bourne was going for the SSP. It's visually impressive, sure, but the impact looked like all Orton did was grab Bourne's head on the way down, and it would have had the exact same impact had Orton just moved.
If Bourne had missed the SSP because Orton moved out of the way, and then Orton hit the RKO after Bourne stood up, it would have looked a lot better, IMO.
But that's just my opinion, and your mileage may vary.

I love it. I don't care if he hits 12 RKOs in a row, the move almost ALWAYS looks good and killer, I love his freak-out things in the ring, and his being booked as a borderline insane badass is awesome IMHO. So far, I've been happy with what they're doing with Orton.

I want to see someone counter the RKO by kicking a chair under his back, or have a partner/manager throw one in.
