It'll probably be DiBiase next.

I am thinking A-Ri gets the next feud.

It'll probably be DiBiase next. If there's a way to make DB seem electric by comparison, that'd do it.

Like someone else said, I can see him becoming the new age Benoit. Great technical worker, doesn't have loads of charisma and a bit undersized, but can put on a great match with anybody.
Do I ever think Bryan will win a world title? Honestly no. Could I see him contending for one down the road. Easily.

He's going to be great. They gave him the belt pretty quick and probably would have done so sooner if someone hadnt gotten upset about the tie choke. The pop tonight was huge and hes a much more charismatic and better looking Benoit. His mic skills arent the best but he has his own style and is miles ahead of where Benoit was. His excellent ring work will take him far and he will carry inferior wrestlers to great matches for a long time and has many classics ahead of him with the best. This guy is the future and I could easily see Miz vs Bryan as a Wrestlemania main event down the line.

And for all the haters the poll results are pretty conclusive so you can go whine along with Michael Cole in your unabomber style shacks

^ Dude, I'm a DBD fan myself but you gotta relax a little. This thread is not about whether you'd like it, it's about prediction.

That is a prediction. Jericho is old, HHH is old, Orton is younger but aging and injury prone, same goes for Cena. Who is going to be the main event for WWE in 5 years? Daniel Bryan is an excellent wrestler and is far superior in ring to Miz, Sheamus, Kofi or anyone else that you could term "the future of wwe". If they didnt want him to be a star they wouldnt have brought him back at all much less putting him in the Summerslam main event and giving him the U.S title.

I know, but that doesn't mean that the people who don't predict it are necessarily haters, now does it?

Way too early to tell, but I don't think this is as high as he'll go. Personally, I can see him winning the big one down the road. It'd probably be a short reign, but with his in ring ability, I don't see why they won't let him run with it at least once.
It's too early to count someone of Bryan's skill level out. I mean, there were times where people said guys like Rey, Punk, and Eddie Guerrero would never win the big one and look where we are now. I'd say that with his first singles match being a pay-per view midcard title win and him being the first NXT "rookie" to go on to win a title, Bryan's got big things in his future.

Yeah but there are several "haters" who would gladly identify themselves as so. I also wouldnt be shocked if he isnt a world champ, but I dont think WWE really believes the things they tell Cole to say.

I just got home from the show, and the pop when Miz tapped out was huge live. Obviously he has a rematch clause to exercise, and I could easily see Bryan tapping him out again either in 2 weeks at HiaC or on Raw, in either case in a just a couple minutes. That would be a defining moment for Bryan, establishing that he'll be no pushover as champion. It also should be the catalyst for Miz to step up into the main event as Mr. MitB - he's angry, his pride's been dealt a few blows, and he thinks that upping the ante is the way to regain his juice.
To get back to the question, no, this isn't the highest. It's the difference between today's U.S. Title and that of yesteryear, when the midcard belt was the one that got defended because the World Champ never wrestled on TV/traveled between territories. The best workers held those belts because they'd get great matches out of anyone.
It took Jericho years to become the Paragon of Virtue and Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah, and getting out of "cruiserweight purgatory" was even a massive challenge. Benoit and Eddie were both likewise junior heavyweights who had to work long and hard to step up. Even Malenko was able to overcome his small stature and compete with heavyweights.
There really aren't many midcard heels on the Raw roster he can feud with now to make sure his US Title reign is a strong one. DiBiase is a good choice. Regal's another heel. Ryder's a third. Then there are Bourne, Henry, Goldust, Yoshi, Vlad, Santino, Truth, JoMo, Khali, Primo, and Black Cena. The Hart Dynasty and the Usos are elsewhere involved. And the Nexus guys are best kept away to avoid making the US Title seem like the minor league belt to casual fans. So then you have main eventers - Edge, Cena, Sheamus, Barrett, and a returning Trips. That roster problem (Smackdown is the opposite, rife with up-and-coming heels) more than anything else harms this reign's potential.
But lastly, I think of Bryan peaking like Owen Hart or Mr. Perfect - great midcard champion who can easily step into any given main event and feel not out of place.

Wait, all the Bryan haters haven't come in yet. Give it a few minutes. I'm expecting one in particular. I'm already here. Yes, and no one noticed. Unsuccessful troll is unsuccessful.

I enjoy Daniel Bryan but understand that and am fine with the fact that others don't.

51 is greater than 9. I don't think Bryan will ever be THE man, much less a star on the level of Austin, The Rock, etc. But I can see him being a Shawn Michaels-esque wrestler post-primadonna. He'll put on some amazing matches in the upper midcard and main event, maybe even get a world title reign or two. They'll never build the company around him, but I think he can become one of its big players.
