It's less than a week before "Night of Champions", the PPV with the "Every title belt is defended" stipulation, and the Tag Team champions, the Hart Dynasty, still have no opponents.
Who is available?
The Usos: Brought in way too early because the WWE wanted a tag team for the Dynasty to beat multiple times. Another title shot would be meaningless since they'll be jobbers. The Dudebusters: Spent most of the time as jobbers, only now are being built as quasi-babyfaces. The Gatecrashers: Uh... so much for making an impact, if all you've been on is Superstars.
That's it for the other "true" tag teams.
Hell, even the IC belt has the 789th installment of Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler, but at least we KNOW who's fighting for that belt.

You forgot about R-Truth & Morrison, it's not like they ever had a shot for the titles

WWE cares absolutely nothing for tag team wrestling. Why? Because creative and Vince are a bunch of morons. WWF had one of the greatest tag team divisions in the late 80s part of the early 90s and ever since they it has totally sucked except for a few bright spots.(1997- LOD, Headbangers, Godwins, Owen and Bulldog, Harris Twins)(2000- Acolytes, Hardy Boyz, Dudley Boyz, Edge and Christian) This last decade has been the worst for WWE's tag team wrestling. Ever since the Invasion angle it's like WWE creative just threw up it's hands and said "Hey why don't we just kill off one of the best parts of wrestling and destroy the tag division?" rest of creative- "Sure. Yeah that'll put butts in the seats!!!" It makes me so mad!!! Especially since they had one of the best tag teams in Paul London and Brian Kendrick who they never ever ever pushed except when they ran out of teams that they destroyed and had to. They used Londrick to put over the atrocious team of Deuce and Domino. For one the gimmick sucked. For two Deuce sucks at life.(Domino was okay )

I am still hoping Nexus comes out on the ppv and demands the Hart Dynasty defend their titles.

Don't forget Nexus. Any two random Nexus members could team, then they could Freebird rule the belts.
It's who I'd give the shot to, as they are the only ones that have enough exposure recently to be able to run an angle on the night to get said shots.

They had McIntyre and Rhodes teaming for a shot at the titles as well. Would be a good way to get them on the card too.
Its been a while since we had a Tag Team Turmoil match, so I'd be all for it.

Tag Team turmoil would be a bit too similar to the main event now that is an elimination match.....so I can't see it.
Maybe a tornado tag or something?
Harts/Codrew/Morritruth/Nexus.
I'd go for that. Nexus can win, the other midcards just get on the card, and the Harts ditch the belts WWE dont seem to want them to do anything with to people on tv more, so the belts at least get some exposure.
Someone book it!

I really hope they don't make Drew and Cody a tag team. Cody Rhodes is going to be in the main event in no time if WWE creative doesn't screw it up like they did with other guys. coughmorrisoncough

What I don't understand is if they care so little about tag teams these days, why did they make new tag team championship belts?

Nexus, hopefully.
Then, when DBD wins the US title and Barrett wins the WWE title, NXT Season 1 will own Monday Night Raw

I thought that this thread was going to say one man, Chris Jericho, beat the tag champions.

Time to put Shad and JTG back together so that they can continue their feud with the Hart Dynasty....

I honestly believe that Skip Sheffield and David Otunga were supposed to challenge them for the titles based on house show results.
Skip's injury probably screwed things up.

i get the feeling the tag opponnents will be coming from the Smackdown side. McIntyre/Cody just so they'd be having a match for the PPV. don;t see them winning it though.

I'm telling ya. They should have an open invitational gauntlet of former tag team champions. Have like, 15 to 20 teams come, guys who can still work at least a little bit, briefly reunite tag teams like MVP and Matt Hardy, Hawkins & Ryder, Rhodes and Dibiase, Demolition still work the indies from time to time, Jacques is still in good shape, so he and PCO could reform the Quebecers, Tito Santana still works, maybe he and Rick Martel could show up. The New Age Outlaws still work, and hell, even teams who don't work often, but could be in a match for a few minutes. The APA could briefly come back, Too Cool, The Godwinns if they can still work, Deuce n' Domino maybe.
Just a roller coaster of talent come in. And again, if Team 3D are finished up with TNA, have them be the last team vs the Hart Dynasty, and they go over, giving us a new tag team feud.

Keep them away from the WWE Tag Title scene. Bubba Ray and D-Von can go to Japan or the indies. I have no desire to see them on TV anymore. It's not even a personal thing. I'm just sick of them.
