I watched the bash with some friends who call themselves "fans". We started the ppv 30 minutes late, they have TIVO and skip through the "bad" matches. Those matches included the tag team bout, when one of them spouted has anyone heard of these guys before, I kept my mouth shut. They also wanted to skip the Helms/Hardy match, and the Regal/Finlay match. Yet they got excited for the 4 way bra and panties match. (it was okay, but just barely). They went nuts for for the Punjabi Prison match, which was barely watchable and then they give us the false finish (basically). They cried when Chavo hit Rey Rey with the chair, which made me mark out like crazy. Here's the crazy part one of them had the nerve to say "Hey, what if Big Show, Kane, Undertaker, and Khali had a Punjabi Prision match, that would be an awesome match. That was the moment that made me die a little bit inside. I guess I shouldn't complain, I didn't have to pay for it, but when people order the product and have no knowledge what so ever of it, don't act like you do. Then again these are the same people who say Ric Flair sucks and always has and that Hogan is the best wrestler in the WWE.

Thanks . . . I guess. But, it's just not tonight, it's every ppv, every RAW, every Smackdown, anything wrestling related. It's fun to have people to watch with and all, but sometimes I think I would just rather watch it all by myself.

It's the same people who think TNA stinks cause Jeff Jarrett is champion. I know the struggle.

I feel your pain. I had a friend from work tape the show tonight (I had to be in before the show was over) and bring in a tape, because I wanted to see the tag and Regal/Finlay matches. So I'm watching for about the last hour, and I've heard (albeit not intense, but audible) boring chants during the Tag match and the Regal/Finaly match (which were very noticable).
This cuts it, I now know why I'm on hiatus from WWE. I absolutely loathe Smack Down crowds. I can deal with RAW crowds, as they're a mixture of the casual fans, marks, and smarks. You get good dueling chants, and fans get involved. Smack Down crowds might as well not be there, because the only thing they apparntly want is a cool entrance, and a gimmick match.
I get it, Vince has to "please his audience" so he'll give the live crowds more of what they want. More Kahli, more sympathetic Rey, more Batista killing people, and more Divas. That's all well and good, but you know what, those fans that will chant boring at two of the best matches I've seen in a while don't tun into Smack Down on a weekly basis. Know how I know? Because NO ONE tunes in to Smack Down on a weekly basis.

Ah man the "BORING" chants during the Finlay/Regal match were just dumb, that was a great match, I didn't hear them during the tag match though, but that one was great as well

I don't think anyone has ever said that, except for Jarrett and possibly his father. Either way, it wasn't said in this thread..I think the guy was talking about people that shit on TNA only because Jarrett is champion.

I've got the same problem. I've got a mark cousin who comes over to my place every once in a while. His favorite wrestler is Cena and he hates all the ECW guys because they (I am NOT paraphrasing) "All suck cock". I tried to show him some RoH DVD's but he hated them because "Dude, where's the pyro?". I was very close to giving him a Ki Krusher.

Jeez, what's the big deal? Just because they aren't OMG WORKRATE~! doesn't mean they're idiots. OK, so maybe it was a little rude to skip past every match like that, but you could've spoken up.
If anything, that sounds like Vince's target audience, though. People who buy that Taker/Show slogging through the Bamboo Cage of Death is worth $40 are who he markets to. And he's fairly successful.
Anyways, and no offense, but don't be such a snob about it. It's very unbecoming.

Vince is a genius because he follows the Baskin Robbins model of business. Some people like Divas matches, some like hosses and some like technical matches. I don't get ice cream with my friends and call them marks because they like chocolate ice cream when all the smart people know that chocloate chip cookie dough rules.
