I was talking about fighting game bosses witha thread the other day, and came to the conclusion of "mother **** Kintaro". Everything about him in MKII was unbalanced... it was like he was designed to troll players. He blocked everything almost... and even when you hit him, it didn't do a ton of damage. His kick would rape your health, and he could just doo a teleport stomp on you anytime he wanted. Also, just to be a jerk, he shot fireballs randomly. Seriously, screw that guy.

The only way I knew how to beat Kintaro was either to use Kitana or use Shang Tsung as Kitana & do Kitana's Fan Lift mover over & over again until you kick Kintaro's ass.
Yeah he was a real pain.

...who's Kintaro? My copy of Mortal Kombat II (for the SNES, not the Game Boy) went from Shang Tsung to Shao Khan. There was no broken four-armed tiger giant thing between there, the broken, stomp-happy bastard... with his short stomps, his long stomps, and his "**** you, bitch!" stomps... >_>

Kintaro>Motaro
At least he logically made sense unlike the centaur freak.
Yeah cheap as hell though. Possibly cheapest sub-boss in a fighting game ever.

I was actually pulling an MK game rush today, I haven't lost my edge with an arcade stick... Kintaro is an example of bullshit boss just like most SNK bosses. I still think Motaro was worse as I could actually flawless Kintaro for at least one round.

Really? Once I got the knack of being cheap with him, Motaro was pretty easy.

His grunts made the encounters funny as hell.

I had 3 characters I could usually beat him with ease with. Milena, Katana and Sub-Zero. If I played with anyone else...I'd get my ass handed to me. Baraka is another one that I could beat him with but it was met with mixed results.
I always found it funny that Kintaro was like 10 times harder than Shao Khan. I can pretty much beat him with any character. He's such a talker that it doesn't take much to whip him. His taunts and saying "you will die" 100 times per round make him a pushover.

I still think that the title goes to jin chonshu in fatal fury 3, it's worse because you had to make some very good rounds if you want to see the real boss But yeah, Kintaro is really cheap, but like a lot of mortal kombats, has lots of cheap tricks to beat him Hell, a lot of SNK bosses fall in this same very trick, in most fighting games when you jump and attack they will try to use their broken anti air, if that's the case, you just need to land in the other side and kick him, but with kintaro works in the other way

I'd say Seth in SF4 before he got patched was pretty hard, but I reckon Azazel in Tekken 6 is just ridiculous. Moves that rise from underneath with out warning? Check! Eye Beam with no charge or signal, just infinite range? Check! The ability to block attacks when midway through a normal attack & have auto guard constantly? Check! Cheap Asshole....

Kintaro was always the one MK boss I could never beat.
That said, it made me feel bad that such a ridiculously difficult (and broken) boss was always neglected in MK mass media. Goro and Motaro always got the attention.

My biggest thrill was in Armageddon ripping off one of Kintaros arms, and using it like a bat to knock his freaking head off!

Seth was never a hard boss.
He took some time to beat, but isn't even the hardest boss of a Capcom game

Seth is easy compared to many other bosses that Capcom could churn out...
SNK bosses are hard I admit, but they are defeatable and yeah I know "True" bosses have ridiuclous requirments to meet.
Namco's bosses have been a bit dickish, but defeatable if you are willing to lose a round to learn the pattern. (Jinpachi, Azael, Night Terror, Algol, Colossus... all fall after you've studied their non changing patterns)

Only character I had problems beating Seth with in SF4 was El Fuerte.. cause I suck with him. Just a weird play style.. the quick, weak guy that's also a grapple character.

That's the thing, every boss is defeatble, but sometimes depend along on how hard you could beat them, guys like seth could be defeated just using straight fight, with guys like rugal, Geese, or any other mortal kombat characters, the only chance that you had to win is using exploits
At least I Always prefered in that sense capcom bosses, they are not stupidly broken, and just need some learning and being good on the game to win, even though SNK does a better job selling the boss fights as the most epic shit ever

Seth is hard when trying to beat him as Balrog, who I hate because of his lack or range & Gen, who flat out sucks.
