He had a pattern you could easily exploit once you knew it.
If you jumped at him, and timed it right, you could kick him before he uppercuts the shit out of you.
You could pwn him with Kung Lao...kick him until he teleports, then kick+special kick=dead mofo.

And that's one of the reason of why the old games ruled They had a lot of tricks they you never knew if were true or not, sadly the internet (and the death of arcades) killed some magic in videogames There were lot of theories, SPECIALLY with MK2, like the sexality, the cheat to fight against the burning guy at the background, if you won with 10 perfects ryu will appear to challenge you, and lots of other silly thing that are ridiculous in retrospective, but back in the day were totally believable for some odd reason It helped that they actually had crazy stuff in the games, like if you win 250 matches in a row, you get to play pong.

Kintaro was hard, but Shao Khan is hard too.....at least for me.
EDIT - I forgot to mention, I like Kintaro as a character.

Yeah cool character but cheap as hell. You did feel like you had acomplished something when you beat MK2 though.

Haters this is for you I liked Kintaro waaaaaaaay more than Goro. Maybe it was the tiger stripes Maybe that was the fun in facing him was the joy you got when you finally beat the bastard. Thats one of many reasons why I hope they release MK trilogy on PSN so I can play as Kintaro again. I never heard that theory that or viewed Kintaro as a Goro rip off at all. Why doesnt Sheeva get the label as being a Goro rip off??? She basically is Goro with breasts. I did that fatality a grand total of once on the Sega Genesis and it was purely by accident. It was easy all the time in the arcades. Just do jump kicks, if you had the hand dexterity you can still launch fireballs, sweeps, or Uppercuts. You can do anything as long as you had that LOW PUNCH held during the entire time. There were other tricks in MK2, like during the Spike Room, pull the joysticks down to have your victim fall off the spikes, or what I call the "Martini On The Rocks" (Do Sub-Zero's Freeze Move to set up his projectile Fatality but don't do the Fatality, then do the Fatality for the Acid Room. Send the guy in the acid frozen.) And that's one of the reason of why the old games ruled They had a lot of tricks they you never knew if were true or not, sadly the internet (and the death of arcades) killed some magic in videogames There were lot of theories, SPECIALLY with MK2, like the sexality, the cheat to fight against the burning guy at the background, if you won with 10 perfects ryu will appear to challenge you, and lots of other silly thing that are ridiculous in retrospective, but back in the day were totally believable for some odd reason Dude the older versions of the game before the upgrades were way better! Mostly for the infinite Babalities or the fact you could COMBINE Babalities & Friendships. I used to do that all the time with Sub-Zero/Scorpion/Reptile called "The Power Ranger". Use a Babality on your victim THEN do the Friendship forcing them to buy your action figures! PWNAGE!
