Anything that can be described as "soft" or "easy". Music is a war. Treat it like one.
Also, basically any rap that gets radio play. I love Eminem, but even with him, his radio singles are the worst songs on his records. The rest of it is nothing but dudes talking about how great they are, which is clearly not true.
Modern R&B. It used to be such a powerful form of music, but now it's just either mushy horse shit, or all about f***ing, complete with terrible porno beats.

All of this bulls*** "core" bands these days. Give me a break, y'all stupid. Lol, that crap is hilarious. My favorite is the subgenre of metal known as "metalcore". Seriously this is a real thing. And @ music being a war. Why is it a war?

/\ metalcore can be good. it's just a genre that more often than not gets mired in being way too derivative and stereotypical. its offshoot Deathcore is even worse, but I've already said my take on THAT genre.

I would say some type of classical or some types of country or even gospel. Those types have grown on me, but I am still not really a fan of those genres.

The problem is, and maybe you have alluded to it, is that the "core" subgenres are completely oversaturated. It has gotten to the point to where many of the "core" bands have abandoned the genre all together. I blame At The Gates.

It has gotten to the point to where many of the "core" bands have abandoned the genre all together. I blame At The Gates. it's not really At the Gates' fault that everyone ripped them off. it's people's fault (and the Heavy Metal Press, too, no way are they getting away without an earful!) for accepting bands that ripped them off (though Darkest Hour are great and the first Black Dahlia Murder album was awesome). that's what it comes down to. there is a LOT of innovative bands in Extreme Heavy Metal these days but they get overshadowed by overexposed shit bands that do nothing to evolve the genre, nor do they do anything old particularly well, and are forgotten a couple months later (looking at YOU, Job for a Cowboy). Montreal in particular has some AMAZING Progressive Death Metal bands like Quo Vadis, Augury and Neuraxis, but they get next to no attention in the Heavy Metal media. the only band from Montreal that even gets any attention is Kataklysm, and they just make the same album over and over again these days. as long as the Metal Media is satisfied with mediocrity and stagnation, and as long as fans get most of their exposure to new bands through word-of-mouth from said press, then we're going to be stuck with more middle-of-the-road, twee, overwrought breakdown-core shit.
