He was never my favorite or anything, but I always thought the dude was really cool. I guess if people acted like that in real life it'd be a completely different story though. Still, he had several funny promos and I laughed at a lot of them. His cut downs were top notch and never made any of the other wrestlers look like less of a threat...besides Billy Gunn.

He was incredibly cool.
The fact that he was an egotistical bully who treated everyone like crap and yet was still loved by the audience shows how great he was.
It was like you knew you should hate him but he was so epic you ended up liking him. Incredibly difficult to pull that off and yet he did it with ease.
1998-1999 Rock with the $500 shirts and sideburns was the definition of cool.

When I was a kid I thought the rock was pretty cool.
If he was around now though I'm pretty certain I'd hate the guy.

I liked him when he first became a cocky heel. He was just so good at it. When he became a catchphrase-spouting parody of himself, I didn't care much for him. He kind of redeemed himself at the end of his run, though.
Honestly, I don't get why he was praised so much for his promos and derided for his wrestling. Even when his promos got cringe-worthy (and boy, did they ever), he was still a lot of fun to watch in the ring.

For as much as the guy gets praised for being funny and cool...I always thought he was pretty lame at just about everything. The only time I really liked him is the Hollywood Rock version, the one towards the very end when he was almost insane. 100% this. Cannot stand him.

The Rock was awesome. Sure, he had his bad times and not so cool cathcphrases at times, but overall The Rock was a great entertainer and I really do miss the man in the ring and on the mic.

One of the coolest guys on the planet. John Cena wishes he was as cool as The Rock.

Maybe he did some lame stuff, but when most of us were watching the Rock, what he was doing made him the single most cool person on the planet.

Asking this question at this point in time was bound to cast up some negative thoughts on the guy. Many people still feel he's turned his back on the wrestling world. Personally I think the guy got out at the right time. Yes he was around a short time compared to most guys; but he has his health and can be proud of what he accomplished. IMO he owes nothing to the WWE or it's fans...as he gave everything he had during his time with the company. Should he decide to make any kind of appearance; then it'll just be a bonus (or nightmare for the haters ). However without the same egotistical, loud mouthed Rock (PG era etc) I wouldn't be overjoyed at a return.

I was really hoping that the rest of the thread's subject "Did you find The Rock..." was going to be "attractive when he would put on a dress and play a girl bunny?" Because my answer would be yes.

I thought the Rock was great. Always entertained me, especially when he was putting down other wrestlers.

didn't watch when he was in the WWE, but looking back at his career the only time when his promo seem lame is in 2002, when in his promos he was singing songs and stupid things like that

He is why I am watching WWE. Granted I watched when I was VERY young. But The Rock got me back into it in 2000.

I never dug the Rock. Rock just seemed late and out of date to me and he made me laugh for all the wrong reasons. Nobody and I mean nobody can make shirts from the Asian beauty supply look cool.
