I was just watching a repeat of the Wade Vs Orton match at Survivor Series, and I heard Matt Striker call out a Black Hole Slam made be Wade during the match. Dunno if anyone else noticed this, and I thought it was a bit odd, considering (as far as I'm aware) this is only used for Abyss from TNA's finisher. Any thoughts?

JR said that when Umaga used it.

Isn't it the Big Bossman Slam, too?

Is there a different name for the move? A spinning sidewalk slam? Spinning powerslam? I dunno...

Isn't it the Big Bossman Slam, too? Striker did refer to both names for the move on the night.

Yeah, I'm sure he called it like, three names in the one go, but still, I thought it was a bit odd. Albeit not unusual for the Teacher.

Kinda OT, but until I got the internet, I always thought the Boss Man Slam was called "Hard Time." Seems like it should fit, with his theme song and everything.
That's all I had. Continue.

JR said that when Umaga used it. Yeah JR said it back in 2008 numerous times. It's not really a big deal.

Striker also referenced Homicide in the IC title match, Kaval's friend "Nelson".

Yeah, WWE basically has in the past few years adopted Black Hole Slam as the name of the move. I guess since it has a name that stands out but unlike, say, the Bossman Slam it doesn't necessarily carry an attachment to anyone's name.

It is sort of like how the Twist of Fate will always be called that no matter where it is used. It is a highlight move that has a great signature name. I don't see a problem with it. for that matter, Kaval's finisher is still called the Warrior's Way, the last name that TNA used for it.

I'm kind of surprised they didn't keep Bossman Slam as a little tribute. I've heard Ray Traylor was a pretty likeable guy. It even kind of works as just a move name; the guy giving the slam is the "Bossman" in the ring. Like how Perfect-plex is both the name of the guy who made it famous and a description of the move.

I'm sure I've heard Cole call it a tilt-a-whirl slam before. But then this is the man who calls a powerslam a scoop slam.

But then this is the man who calls a powerslam a scoop slam. yeah I call powerslams scoop slams just to piss my friends off, and one of my characters on svr 2011 has like 4 or 5 powerslams and I always say scoop slam when I do them (again to piss them off)
