I left out people like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Booker T because they had pretty darn good runs in WWE. For me, I'm gonna go with Steiner. He had a couple of awful main event matches, feuded with Test for like nine months, and then faded away into obscurity. At least DDP got the European Title...

DDP broke his neck, and was put in that role as a stalker — a role the type of character Page had in WCW, would have never been. It truly was a shame he never had the opportunity to be the *BANG* Diamond Cutter man in WWE.

Considering that DDP gave up his guaranteed contract with AOL/Time Warner (where he'd get paid to sit home doing nothing) in order to make LESS money wrestling for WWF, it's really embarassing how poorly he was used.

That thing with DDP was bad definitely, and as said above, DDP was one of the babyfaces of WCW, and was a babyface for such a long time, and just to come out as a heel with no rhyme or reason.
As Jim Cornette said, he maybe a sex pervert, but he's not a heel.

As Jim Cornette said, he maybe a sex pervert, but he's not a heel. Well, Page did have a WCW World Title run as a heel with the Jersey Triad. Basically using his Ready to Rumble persona. And he did a pretty good job of being heel. So it's not like he couldn't pull it off.

Nash and Steiner weren't healthy for their run and at least Goldberg got the strap, but DDP was abused for no reason at all. Never cracked the main event again, and he could have made them money.

DDP got turned into a total jobber. It'd be the equivalent of Edge leaving WWE today, then going to TNA and jerking the curtain.

DDP lost to the Undertaker's wife. I don't think anyone else fell that far. He almost made it work with motivational speaker DDP, but he never quite got there.

Oh god, DDP with ease. The man got a HUGE pop when he debuted. He then stalked Sara since he wanted to feud with Taker. Just stalk Taker. Even the casual fans knew he was married to Kimberly who was a million times hotter than Sara and even they knew it was a load of crap. Taker made him look like a punk, he got jobbed out to Taker's damn wife who had no experience in the ring whatsoever and then he and Kanyon got squashed by the Brother's of Destruction at Mania.
Then he got saddled with the self help instructor gimmick, which he busted his arse to get over. I give the man credit, he was sabotaged every which way, but he still worked just as hard as when he was main eventing in WCW.

To this day I never understood why DDP got shortchanged by WWE. There was an instant feud with the Rock: Self Appointed Peoples' Champ vs the real Peoples' Champ

This is basically a no contest. There can't be a better answer here than DDP, although Scott Steiner would probably take second place.

Since I don't see Vader up there (sabotaged by Clique-era HBK's temper tantrums) I'm gonna give Page my vote as well. The pop when he unmasks as the "Stalker" was thunderous, and should have told the WWE they had a main eventer on their hands, someone who could make them a ton of cash if used correctly.
I've laid out a scenario before, but since it was very long and complicated, I'll condense it here:
How awesome would it have been if Page had been the first shot fired in the inVasion, and had been followed by Hall, Nash, and Hogan? Vince wants the WWE to beat WCW at the PPV, then fine....Hall, Nash, and Hogan betray Page at the PPV and actually join up with Team WWE ("It's not an invasion for us, Page....it's a HOMECOMING!" Proceeed to seven on one beat-down...match is thrown out. Suddenly, the lights go out, and when they come back up, standing in the ring are Goldberg, Ric Flair, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrerro, Chris Benoit and Sting (or failing Sting, The Big Show).
NOW you have WCW vs. WWF. Done PROPERLY.

DDP automatically wins this contest based on the first few months alone. While his enpowerment gimmick would be really funny later, just the fact he became in 2001 what Dusty Rhodes was in 1989 was horrendous.
