AL Cy Young is going to be interesting. I think you're going to see a clash between the more old fashioned voters who will likely go with Sabathia and the guys who rely entirely on sabremetrics, who will likely go for Felix Hernandez. I'm in the Sabathia camp, personally. I want to see how well Hernandez can pitch on a team that actually has a chance at a winning season, much less a playoff berth, before I give him any sort of award for pitching. On the other hand, Halladay is a shoe-in for NL Cy Young.
Not sure about the Rookies of the Year. I'd say Neftali Feliz for AL (if he counts?) and Buster Posey for NL.
Pretty sure Hamilton and Votto will be MVP's, with an outside chance of Cano or even Miguel Cabrera for the AL.
Not sure if he'd qualify, but I think Buck Showalter deserves AL Manager of the Year. What he did with the Orioles is amazing.

I'm glad the World Series is over. Pitchers and catchers report in early January don't they? It seems kinda ridiculous that the season would end in November, and then 60 days later, you're throwing the baseball around again.

I really hope Cliff Lee doesn't go to the Yankees. It would just be unfair. Though, since the Yankees didn't win the World Series, they will of course buy up all the free agent talent they can.

I'm pretty sure they're not gonna get him after what the fans did to his wife. They're probably end up getting Jorge de la Rosa instead.

Reasons the Rangers can sign Lee 1.New Ownership 2.Increased attendance/merch sales 3.New TV deal worth more than $80 mil a year 4. No state income tax 5.Proximity to home in Arkansas 6.Yankee fans 7.Yankee payroll/luxury tax 8.team atmosphere 9.Rangers success 10.Lee's own failure in World Series could be motivation to try again.
I still wont be shocked if he signs with the Yankees, but I am confident the Rangers will bring Lee back or another top-line starter or top free agent. Carl Crawford or Victor Martinez in Texas would be huge additions, Greinke through a trade would be a nice consolation for Lee, and if the Rangers can get another closer Feliz could be a great starter. Tanner Scheppers and Martin Perez are in the system ready to contribute as well

This is just shocking. You never see this with any other city when their team wins a championship.

Before the World Series (or any other MLB series for that matter) is played, several hundred T-shirts and hats with "World Champions" are preprinted for both teams so that it's readily available for on-field celebrations with family members after the series.
So there were boxes of Rangers hats and T-shirts in case they won the World Series. What happens to that stuff now?
It goes to World Vision, a charity organization, which donates it to needy folks around the world. Jeff Fields, corporate relations senior director for the organization, is always pulling for a 7-game series.
"Stores pre-order merchandise once their team gets to three wins," Fields said. "So we have more merchandise if a series goes seven games."
Fields figures his organization will get around 300 hats and T-shirts with Rangers "World Champions" stuff on them. Those are likely headed to Nicaragua, El Salvador, Romania and maybe a few countries in Africa. Wherever there's the most need.
"It’s a brand new shirt or hat and in many acaes, they’ve never received something brand new," Fields said.
Several other sports leagues do the same thing to be sure the clothing is wasted and is put to good use.

One theory is that the majority of the population wants everything, 'here and now'. Obviously, baseball isn't gong to be that, so people get bored and refuse to watch it, unless the Yankees are in the WS because that's the team casual fans only seem to know exists. Not to mention that baseball refuses to 'get with the times' and still hasn't instituted instant replay. And there's still some people that re pissed at the game for letting so many players get away with steroids abuse for so long.
