I don't mean just worked MMA matches or "super serious" as ROH is, I mean something that uses MMA elements but is still recognizably pro wrestling. Maybe something similar to UWF International, but based in the US.

I doubt it. Wrestling fans won't make it a major draw by themselves and MMA fans wouldn't touch it as it would be instantly tainted with pro wrestling stink.
Not to say there isn't an audience for a niche indie product similar to this but you're not going to get rich off it.

Like PRIDE? It wouldn't work unless the matches were presented as real, but weren't. Which was what PRIDE was. A worked -shoot promotion.

EVOLVE has some nice stuff going for it, but it isn't done in shoot-style.

Although not American, I think it was WXW in Germany that recently did a shoot-style tourny with Bryan Danielson and TJ Perkins.

I was actually thinking more like UWFi.

Not really because MMA fans won't buy into fake shoot fighting. UWFI worked because no other company was doing that style of fighting at the time.

I mean, they did have some worked shoots in their early days, but it's still a shoot company..... Just watch minowaman or takada mma matches Minowa's fights aren't worked. And only Takada's wins were worked, his losses weren't.

It would involve the following things -No running the ropes -High injury rate of workers -not family/fan friendly. It would be a mongrel product.

Not really because MMA fans won't buy into fake shoot fighting. I disagree. There's clearly a viewer relationship between MMA and wrestling. MMA fans might not admit it, but I bet many of them watch wrestling and wish it was more like MMA--in fact, I bet many MMA fans were wrestling fans back in the 90's but left after the creative decline. No wrestling company is doing it right now, though.

-High injury rate of workers I'm not so sure about that. After all, there'd be a lot less hardcore matches and big bumps.

He might be thinking of RINGS. A huge portion of the 90s were worked. BattlARTS shows that it can work. The shows don't draw well but they are great.

I kind of like the idea of a promotion with mostly worked matches but a few shoot ones. keep the fans guessing. And I tend to agree with Jim Cornette that anything that makes wrestling look more real and legit is good.

Pro Wrestling is Pro Wrestling, Shoot is MMA or High school/college style I believe there was a attempt at something called "Real Pro Wrestling" or something like that a few years back which was just amateur wrestling and it failed badly
