I really like his wrestling style, reminds of Benoit- but in a more modern way. I'm glad he's getting a decent push in WWE, as are others that came in from the indy's. I have an idea for him,it may be a real long shot- but I believe it could work. Have him compete as mid carder for now, maybe turn him heel sometime down the road, feud with CM Punk, or possibly team with him, keep him in semi high profile storylines for the next few years. Than have him finally win the big one at WM XXX. The event is most likely going to taking place at MSG, so you know the crowd is going to be behind this "internet darling", it would make an excellent moment. I know WWE does not plan things this far in advance, he may get his world title run(s) long before that- or may no longer be employed by then.

Honestly, I think at this point someone should punch one of his teeth out then out of anger he switches to using Whatever as his theme music and wearing tights. Bryan already has the finisher, the basic wrestling style, the Internet love, the "Soft-spoken but brutal submission expert" thing, and the history of having been dropped from the company after choking somebody.

Really don't see the comparison with Benoit. Yes, they both have/had a technical style, but Bryan is a much better talker and comes across like a normal guy rather than a sadistic crippler.

The moment Bryan wins the WWE title the internet shuts down, time stops, and Ragnarok will begin.

To add to your WrestleMania 30 idea, the show needs to end with him hugging new World champion Chavo.

He'd get a short benoit run if it ever happened, followed by the following thread topics:
Daniel Bryan is a solid wrestler and deserved it
and
Daniel bryan is a vanilla midget blaaargh

I'd love to see Bryan win the WWE or World title at some point. Be it at WM 30 or sooner or after that. Just as long as he'd get it would be nice.

Bryan's a guy I can honestly see winning it. He would never be a central guy, but I could see him becoming a popular upper-midcarder / face equivalent of Jericho and Punk easily; he's damn good in the ring, has charisma, after only a few months on the roster already regularly gets people chanting his name, and he's marketable in how different he is from the rest of the roster.

I think he will be a world champion, but they need to get rid of the everyman nerd gimmick though. I want to see the violent SOB that main evented Summerslam.

I agree, I can see him getting a WWE or World Title run. The WWE is obviously big on him, otherwise he wouldn't be United States Champion, getting screen time every week, wouldn't have had the performance against Nexus at SummerSlam and wouldn't have owned Miz and Dolph in their feuds. He does need better music though. The crowd pops big for his matches, but not his music. I made a prediction in the "Surprise of 2011" thread, and I'm sticking by it. Daniel Bryan will make Cena tap clean this year.

I've followed Bryan's career since Memphis when I downloaded his matches with Spanky in 2002, and he's been my favorite guy in wrestling since his World Title run in 2005. Nothing would make me happier than to see him with a WWE World Title, but I just don't ever see it happening. He's obviously got it in the ring, and when given the opportunity, he CAN talk, but....I just don't see them ever doing it. Excuse me. I'm going to call one of my female friends for a hug.

The only way I see that happening is if Cena passes out iin the Lebell Lock.

Then he'll turn heel and there'll be threads about how amazingly he tied his shoes one week.

He's more Backlund than Benoit to me.
...
Maybe he'll get a six-year title reign, too.

I think there's a very good chance he becomes a world champion during his tenure at WWE. WWE obviously thinks the world of the guy. He gets fired only to be re-hired and put in the main event at one of the biggest PPV's of the year, and winning the US Championship by making the current WWE Champion his bitch a couple of months later. Since then, he's become a fixture on RAW's midcard.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if he didn't win a world title by the end of 2011.

Well, you can quote me on this. If Daniel Bryan does indeed get a WM main event, the weeks up to it will be littered with comment of anticipative shock before the event and should he win, the cries of "he's just not the same anymore"/"remember how cool he used to be?" begin. The IWC will deny it (as though they're one singular entity) but they hate it when their darlings cross over into the mainstream.

The momentous markout that people here had for Punk cashing in on Edge in 2008 says otherwise. Check the archives.

He certainly fills the "everybody man world champion" mold that Vince likes every now and then. i. e. Bret Hart

Yeah, I can't see him winning it.
Nor should he. What's wrong with a guy being the rock of the mid-card? Million Dollar Man for a new millennium, the guy who can compete for the gold and loses nothing by not getting it.
