My dad was working at a SuperAmerica gas station in Kenova, WV back in the 80's and a drunken Ric Flair came in the store, I guess after a match.
I've met the members of the bands P.O.D. and Blindside, stood just a few feet away from Lacuna Coil's Cristina Scabbia (at the same show - LC opened), and two years after that, I met two members of Dir en grey.
Probably the most fun link, though... you all know that kiddie show, Yo Gabba Gabba? Well, I got a high five from DJ Lance Rock.

My wife is somewhat related (second or third cousin) on her mom's side to Roger Dillon, who wrote the song "Sticks & Stones", sung by Tracy Lawrence.

I met Ann Markley in college. You know, the girl from America's Top Model with the deep voice.

The obligatory Soap Star comes to Myrtle Beach or when a famous TV star walked in a parade. Now this particular story was back in the early 1980s, when the Dukes of Hazzard was the major show. Tom Wopat (Luke Duke) was in our local parade and he waved to the crowd. I was about 8 or 9 then. I thought it was the coolest thing since I could watch the Dukes every Friday night.
I have a cousin who also did a genealogical search on our family and she mentioned that Stedman Graham (Oprah Winfrey's man and businessman himself) could be a part of our family line. Interesting. Maybe I should check that out sometime.
I wish I had met some wrestlers though. My brother and his wife met Ivan Koloff and he signed an autograph of there's about a year or two ago.
I went to SC State University back in the early 1990s and reggae dancehall singer Patra was there as well as the group After 7, who were also a hot act at the time.

That's the second time I've heard of the Edinburgh Fringe recently. The other time was when someone I've known for QUITE some time made her England debut as a comedian. She made her English comedy debut in Edinburgh? What I was trying to say was that it was her first time doing comedy in England. She started as a comedian in NYC some time after she graduated from college. Sorry about confusing you, and I hope that didn't confuse you more. Anyway, I've got a second that I just found out about. You know the current Steeler punter Shaun Suisham? Well, I found out that he currently lives just outside of my hometown (about 1-2 miles out) near the local golf course. I wonder when he and Matt Light will duke it out on the links...

Has almost no cache outside the south, and even then, only fans of country music, but my uncle built Travis Tritt's house in GA.

I once played in a football game in high school against current Pittsburgh Steelers line backer Lawrence Timmons when he played at Wilson High School...
I actually put him on his ass a couple of times...but that was before he went to Florida State and got f***ing ripped...

A friend of mine is a cousin of Tommy Stinson (Replacements / Guns N' Roses)
My grandpa worked at a restaurant that Al Capone used to frequent.
Met a bunch of bands, but outside of being offered a ride home from Slipknot and being invited backstage by Lamb Of God, they were nothing more than quick "Hey, you're awesome. Can I get a pic/autograph."
