Grunge Hip Hop Video Games Simpsons The independent movie makers hitting stride Knightfall Saga Age of Apocalypse MTV Wrestling The brief Swing revival
Honestly, the only thing that sucked about the 90s was the 80s hangovers, the people that died and the fact that it ended. Screw the 80s, long live the 90s! Let's hope it has a revival.

Just a few I don't think have been mentioned yet...
Batman the Animated Series South Park (It's still great now too) Michael Jackson (I know the 80's were his golden era but to me he was still the man in the 90's..during the Dangerous and HIStory era's) Fresh Prince of Bel Air The Jerry Springer show
and one that is UK specific

Maybe it's cause the 90's were like, MY decade as far as coming of age (Class of '99), but I pretty much recall the 90's as a whole having more good then bad. I mean it really wasn't until the late 90's that crap like Creed, Limp Bizkit and such started ruining things on the rock front, and boy bands exploded again on the pop front.

Well, at least until the PS1/N64 era anyway. The transition to 3d was a bit awkward. I think that cartoons, on average, were better than what we'd seen in previous decades. Mostly because there were actual attempts at storytelling and character development.
