I flippin' LOVED the 90's. The music, the culture, the TV, the movies, the video games ... this was my decade. Always will be. Won't curry a bad word about it.
Jed Shaffer ~The 80's and 00's, though ... egads.

There is a reason why so many people say Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the best GTA game (and best video game) ever. I don't think all of that has to do with just the gameplay.

Anthrax's Sound Of White Noise album. YES! Why is this album so hard to find?

Forget Nevermind, this was the best album of the '90s.

I'm gonna be different and mention, in retrospect, N*SYNC. Easily the most interesting act from the brief boy band boom, plus they didn't take themselves seriously at all.
Also: Bjork Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) WB animation as a whole (Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Batman TAS, Freakazoid, Superman, and hell, even Road Rovers) The Prodigy Wu Tang

Children's TV in England in the 90s was brilliant. We had The Demon Headmaster, The Queen's Nose, Zzzap!, Maid Marian and her Merry Men, Scratchy And Co...

Kiss's "Revenge" and "Carnival of Souls" albums, and the awesome "Unplugged" show where the original 4 members reunited.
Also:
MTV Unplugged - A wide range of musicians performing their songs (songs on MTV, who'da thunk it?) without electrical instruments. Such a cool show.
SNICK - Are You Afraid of the Dark, Roundhouse, Pete & Pete, and other great shows.

Most of music. Björk, Massive Attack, Blur, Tricky, Liz Phair, Beck,... Even the crap like Hanson or the Spice Girls were much better than the average stuff today.
The lack of ringtone ads, reality TV and endless homeshopping shows (at least on Austrian and German TV).
Also, buying video games that are actually finished.
