Its supposed to miss us, at least for the first day. But that didn't stop people around here from going bat**** crazy. At work tonight, our dairy cooler had no milk in it.
My store was packed, people were complaining, messes were being made. It was enough chaos to put me about 4 hours behind on everything I had to do. Keep in mind this kept happening after the forecast called for the initial wave to miss us.
Its gonna be a crazy next few days.

SNOWPOCALYPSE! SNOWPOCALYPSE!
I'm in Chicago. Up to 20 inches expected in spots, but my school hasn't even closed yet. They've sent out messages detailing how they'll let us know if they do though.
Closed or not, I'm not braving a goddamn blizzard for a class that gets out a 8:30 PM.

They're calling for 12-16 inches here in Grand Rapids. However, our weather people have been horribly inaccurate this year when it comes to predicting the severity of storms (thunder or snow). 9 times out of 10 it ends up not being as bad as they say. I'm hoping though this isn't the 1 time they get it right.

The freezing rain's slicked up the roads and caused a lot of closedowns in the St. Louis metro area. Most of the power outages may be southeast from here.

the latest from my neck of the woods
There is expected to be a mammoth amount of snow expected to come throughout Wisconsin by the time Wednesday has reached its conclusion. It is anticipated that there will be between 15 to 18 inches in Walworth, 18 to 21 inches in Kenosha and Racine, and between 12 to 15 inches in Waukesha and Milwaukee. Other parts of the state are expected to have heavy snow fall as well.
A blizzard warning will take effect this afternoon and will last until Wednesday afternoon. Additionally, a winter weather advisory is currently in effect and will last until 3 p.m.

We've been getting sleet fairly steadily here. There might be some snow mixing in now. We are expecting anywhere from 10-20+ inches of snow here near St. Louis. We are under a blizzard warning. This might be the worst snowstorm that St. Louis has seen since 1982 on nearly exactly the same date.

Just started up this morning here in Kansas City. Had a little ice overnight but now it's in full blast. I'm just keeping locked up in my dorm flipping between Dead Rising 2 and Gran Turismo 5 and feasting on my dorm food (Spaghetti O's and Chunky soup).
